"Dad08736, who made the Game? Where do we come from?"

"Huh? Oh jeez, not this again. Okay, fine...I'll tell you once more, but this is the last time."

"Okay! Last time, I promise!"

"We Characters are divine beings...the only beings in the entire Game who possess free will. We don't know how or when the Game was created, but it started as a random mass of 0s and 1s. There was a huge explosion, and 0s and 1s went flying all over the place. Slowly over thousands of milli-seconds, intelligent life began to EVOLVE from these 0s and 1s."

"How did we evolve?"

"Well, that's a tough question. First, we were just slabs of pixels, not good for much more than slapping spherical pixels back and forth. Then, there was mutation. Some of the pixel slabs started developing the ability to chomp spherical pixels and run away from Ghosts. These Pac-Men soon were replaced by better mutations that developed arms, legs, and Italian mustaches. And on and on, until we evolved - highly developed Characters with free will."

"How did we mutate? Does someone control this?"

"No one knows for sure...all we know is that the Game is always changing."

"Where does our free will come from?"

"From our Players, which are also known as our Souls. Our players are who we really are."

"Did our players make us?"

"No, we are the players."

"But, what do our players look like?"

"Usually, they are balding, pasty, and overweight. But, that's not the point. Our players are part of us. We are not separate from them. We don't exist without them. Although they are not part of our 1s and 0s, they are the core of our being."

"What happens to our Players when we die?"

"Our Players never die. They inhabit other Characters. They float around and become part of the Game. But, they continue to exist long after we are gone."
