Salman Ahmad - October 10, 2006
how many miles must we travel
how many lives must we squander
how many hearts must we break
how many deceptions can we be blind to
how much torment can we accept
before we inhale the life's breath of Peace?

Your grievance about the lack of peace salman ahmad, resonate with me deeply. Same questions I ask myself, every time the earth moves and shakes with fear, with war and with non-restraint of said actions.
Great point Steve--indeed, we are all tired; aren't we?
With loving kindness,

Beautiful song and video too!
Peace always,

Suicide Shopping Spree
Along paths of resistance
for freedom’s sake;
for whom was glory gained today?
Or have the occupied people
made a point- God forbid
to keep some honor
in ancient ways.
Enraging the resident saviors
stationed with guns ablaze
and hero anthems resounding;
did not our partisan fortune tellers
read the cards just right?
For they and us,
peace seems a passing dream;
a mirage where the desert
meets the city street.
Determined, stubborn
and strong resolved to prevail,
Uncle Sam and
the Mullahs come to blows;
obsessed with plodding proposals,
possessed by fruitless progress-
the tragic pacts
they accede along the way.
But today,
even the three ring USA
won’t provide us
the “greatest show on earth ”.
Reserved is that honor
for terror’s “faithful”.
They detonate single handed honor,
scattering innocent, proper sacrifices-
tomorrows dinner,
and pieces of their children
along the bloodstained
market square.

Full Circle
When the value of our worth
is no longer measured by the misfortunes of others.
When freedom inspires faith
and humility, charity, and wisdom instill freedom.
When our children see us humbly kneeling in worship
not arrogantly standing on self glory.
When we strive for acceptance of the unfamiliar
and shun judgment when we don't agree.
When responsibility for progress lies inside each life.
then each life will aspire finally
for divine purpose,
purity,
And peace.
perhaps someday-TGR
