Lord, Ain't It The Truth...

Saira Mohan - October 24, 2006

NEW YORK, Oct. 24 (UPI) -- Researchers at the Kinsey Institute for Research in Sex, Gender and Reproduction at Indiana University say most men are always thinking of sex....

A study released Tuesday in the journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Scientists found 54 percent of men and 19 percent of women admit they think about sex every day -- or several times a day -- in a society where they are bombarded with subconscious erotic images.

Scientists at the University of Minnesota found sexy subliminal images competed for attention in the brain even when the images were not right before a subject's eyes and most people are not consciously aware of them, ABC News reported.

Researchers also found sexual orientation often determines how the brain reacts to erotic images. Heterosexual women, for example, were more tuned in to pictures of naked men, the same reaction exhibited by homosexual men. But homosexual woman were equally attuned to naked images of both sexes, the report said.

Um...I would say "all the time."

But most of the time, yeah.

Most animals have a mating season or a specific range of time in life where the hormones are active and the sex drive kicks in.

Not so humans. Ours is "always on".

Whether that's a blessing or curse, it's hard to say...

In the end,
like it matters, the quantity, and/or quality, of 'pie', you 'do',

Besides, like it's a bad thing,
But the most imporatant, spiritual currency, being time, and the amount I spend, on chasing
ass and entaining them for this, mhmmnn..,

Have friends who do regulary, let's call them,
the equivalant of, a spiritual retraites ;),
to fun adult places, all over the world, several times a year, some are even in the process of relocating and retiring in such, around their thirties, for sex sake..seriously,
and now that I mention this..,
heck, thats different,

But, Dutch people, know very little about East European pie, unconditioned, unspoiled, old-fashioned, family oriented, instead of, lean, mean, consumers, units of self-absorbtion in a non-spiritual manner,

anhow, enough, of my ..

Twas before the "Summer of Love" in 1969 that

the stage was set by a book, a best seller in it's time.

A zoologist, Gregory Morris, wrote "The Naked Ape",

garnished this platter of information with poetry and song.

It's a very funny but intriguing message.

For those of you who wish to believe you are not your body,

and that your hormones have little to do with your intellect,

ye who are jusSpirit, you might want to read this.

It may put you back on all fours.

For the rest, it will make you say,

"No wonder...and I thought I had a real problem."

Welcome to The Planet of Advanced Apes.

We are quite the creative lot with our positions.

We are now seperated from the lower-life forms.

Don't we have to believe that our souls

are responsible and respond with tact

when faced with the back-end of the story?

We alone decide who belongs on top.

Women could use sex to take over the world, and create one of Peace and Harmony, they just don't realize it yet.

What better way is their to grab the attention of a mind and impart some wisdom and intelligence.

The Bonobos certainly have a good working model for society.

The Bonobos have a matriarchal culture, bound by cooperation, sharing, and the creative use of sex. It is free of violent conflict.

Oh and I don't think men will have a problem with women in power if there is lots of sex.

Maybe that is the secret of the elusive mystery surrounding the Brass Monkey.

Click my name.

Here is an excerpt...

The word monkey is of unknown origin which is something we cover later. The first known usage was in 1498 when it was used in the literary work Reynard the Fox as the name of the son of Martin the Ape. Part of the insight surrounds the Reynard himself.

Translated into French it means "My Key". Whose key and to what is the question?

So, I've had a great day, there's this one case..,

A Turkish steambath is awaiting me, and then it's

I’ve heard people say that
Too much of anything is not good for you, baby
But I don’t know about that
As many times as we’ve loved
We’ve shared love and made love
It doesn’t seem to me like it’s enough
There’s just not enough, baby
There’s just not enough
Oh, oh, baby
Uh-uh

My darling, I
Can’t get enough of your love, babe
Girl, I don’t know, I don’t know why
I can’t get enough of your love, babe

Oh, some things I can’t get used to
No matter how I try
It’s like the more you give, the more I want
And baby, that’s no lie, oh, no, babe

Tell me, what can I say, what am I gonna do
How should I feel when everything is you
What kind of love is this that you’re givin’ me
Is it in your kiss or just because you’re sweet

Girl, all I know
Is every time you’re here
I feel the change
Somethin’ moves
I scream your name
Look what you got me doin’

Darling, I
Can’t get enough of your love, babe
Girl, I don’t know, I don’t know, I don’t know why
I can’t get enough of your love, babe, oh, no, babe

Girl, if I can only make you see
And make you understand
Girl, your love for me is all I need
And more than I can stand, oh, well, babe

How can I explain all the things I feel
You’ve given me so much, girl, you’re so unreal
Still I keep loving you more and more each time
Girl, what am I gonna do because you’re blowin’ my mind

I get the same old feelin’
Every time you’re here
I feel the change
Somethin’ moves
I scream your name
Look what you got me doin’

Darling, I
Can’t get enough of your love, babe
Girl, I don’t know, I don’t know, I don’t know why
I can’t get enough of your love, babe

Oh, my darling, I
Can’t get enough of your love, babe, oh, babe
Girl, I don’t know, I don’t know why
I can’t get enough of your love, babe

Darling, I
Can’t get enough of your love, babe

Hey Marek,
You do have a way with words!
so romantic
~ Kate

I think it is the subconscious erotic image next to the Lord above, (on this page) and it had an effect like Saira said on Marek's brain. Mine 2 it triggers images of a hot tub, candles, and wine.

Buzka! Kate,

Love, Passion,

LOL,
I think she's more a campfire kind a girl..;)

Love, Passion,

for some reason the part about straight women surprised me. I'm actually pretty sure i read a study that said women (of all orientations) tend to react to naked folk of both genders. Hmm, i wish i could remember where i read it!

Black fingernails scratching the surface of skin

will draw red blood, all the same!

October campfires with masquerading vampires

chasing Long Dong Silver...AWAY!!!

Vampires..?
I'm more thinking, about angels,
knights, kicking ass,
pro bono, literally,
just for the..

Love, Passion,
dobranoc,

I see life and it's passin' right before my eyes
And the past is the past don't regret it, time to realize
I need to walk on the wire just to catch my breath,
I don't know how or where but I'm goin' it's all that I have left

It don't matter where it takes me
Long as I can keep this feeling runnin' through, my soul

Never took this road before -- destination unknown
Oh oh oh ohohoh -- destination unknown
Won't be coming back this way gotta go it alone
Oh oh oh ohohoh -- destination unknown

See a chance gotta take it wanna meet my fate
'Cause the last thing I ever wanted was to find out it's too late
No way out when you're in it deeper than the night
There's a light at the end of the tunnel and I see it burning bright

It don't matter where it takes me
Long as I can keep this feeling soarin' through, my soul

Never took this road before -- destination unknown
Oh oh oh ohohoh -- destination unknown
Won't be comin' back this way gotta go it alone
Oh oh oh ohohoh -- destination unknown

Know this song Keith?

Love, Passion,

Many a times most people have written about this male's obsession for sex......which i guess sells hot......but i am quite positive......that both the sexes have more or less an equal passion for sex....And yes even females do think about sex a good number of times every day...whether they accept this or not would be a secondry question.

Females primarily like to believe that among our species that are always the one who are sought after. And this very psyche is the seed for such concepts and research.

Most females would conciously say no even if they are thinking about sex. The research will always go for a toss in such a scenario.

regards

Amit

YES LORD, IT'S WOMEN

Arousal arises
from rising androgens
when women stir the
pot of sexy thoughts

yes Lord, it’s women
it’s them that are
in men’s minds and
hearts all day long

what a shame
men spend half their lives
chasing women and not
much time having them

they think them disposable.

~Ravi Kopra

Dear Amit

Women accept that they think about sex often, they just don't show off about it in public ;).

love, Heather

Heather,

most men also don't do that either....

But all said and done, women would always like to beleive that they are the ones who are sought after....basically they tend to beleive they satisfy men more than what they get.....something like having power over someone's desires....power to evoke desire.....women are hungry for that

amit

Hello Saira and Everyone,

Mens sex organs are on the outside of their bodies and this is one reason for their constant focus on sex. When men see a women's body part, say, a breast, a cleavege, thighs, etc., it is their "little soldier" saluting it's commanding officer, really, it is the body parts communicating, not the persons. Women, just do not realize how much it is only about the body parts and not about them, as a whole. The "little soldier" is really only a heat seeking missile and women are it's object of impact. If women could see themselves through "a little soldier's" eyes it would solve sooooo many confusions and problems between men and women. Women would finally realize it is more about the "heat seeking missile" than about them and they wouldn't have to take it sooooo personally.

peace ruth (hahaha)

enjoyed your piece ruth!

Mmmmmm, I wonder how much money was invested in this ground breaking research..same old, same old...what's the revelation?. Women know that men's brains are in the lower part of their anatomy.... (just kidding boys!). Actually I disagree with Ruth. I think women think about sex just as much as men do...anyone remember the famous diet coke ad! I always wonder why the media never panders to women's sexual desires? You have so many male oriented magazines, like Maxim etc..which show scantily clad babes..but what about the female population? How come we don't get any bar chested, rippling bicep, hunks to drool over, page after page?.

Women do talk about sex..alot! Good sex, bad sex, mediocre sex, lack of sex....whether size matters, quality, quantity..so watch out men...you may think we don't think about sex..or talk about it...but oh yes indeedy we do.....

My comments are not in anyway meant to be sexist, provocative etc etc..just entertainng some light relief!

K

Sorry Ruth, scrap the comment I made about disagreeing with you....I was thinking about sex when I wrote my comment and not focussing properly! :-)

Dear Ruth.. your #22 was adorable, and I applaud the explanation!

My son is only eighteen next month. Quite a few months ago, we had a serious discussion on sex in today's society; with all the hype about aides, and std's. He has a steady girl, it was time for another "mother nature" talk.

I swear, men are really born with a book in their head; seperate from that of the woman!! Just like your #22!

My son is convinced, that almost all women suffer from "penis envy" and this is why we resist so much sexual advances from men! huh? Trust me, he did NOT learn this attitude at home!! Damn Freud and his penis-envy crap!

So, I did all I could do; I responded with: "oh yeah, well if women have penis envy; then men have breast-envy!" At that we laughed, touche'd and dropped the conversation.

Needless to say, he is convinced men are superiour to women, because of the penis, and muscle mass. Though he did relent and admit, women were often smarter than men... in many "ways" and that men are glad WE carry the baby, and not them!

North

If the world only knew the truth about women....

and I agree with Kamini based on my direct experience, women are much more articulate about sex. Of course it could be because I am around women more than men (natural affinity for them you know), that it seems they talk about it more.

Do tell, what is the truth about women, Richard?

Women want a family nest.
Men want a hen-house.

Sometimes we think we know, what we know... but, then men have their "ways" of convincing us otherwise...or, so we let them "believe." (wink!)

Saira,

Only 19 percent of women think about sex everyday? Wow. Kinda low for men too, I would have thought.

Sex is an appetite. Sex is a hunger. And modern culture I thought would be doing a better job at stoking this to much better effect.

It only goes to show how sexually illiterate society still remains. Rather superficial, visual, keeping it at a hormonal level instead of elevating it to a cultured one.

I guess the female percentage really shouldn't be shocking. I think most men do realize that, although modern women are more sexually free, they are not well-schooled in the art of seducing men, beyond cosmetics and clothes. Not that most men are either. I would have thought, with a 50% divorce rate, that the deadening effect of marriage would have been mitigated by half the population re-entering the mating game.

But great sex is actually soul work. That's what every woman wants from a man, down deep. But with wise men in such short abundance these days, everyone has reduced sex to a performance game, athletics for the MAN in bed; the woman the color commentator. Sexually liberated women are really just females who have entered the old male hunting game, while men, by and large, don't study the aspects of what women want uncovered from their end.

But the game can be fun for men, too. What man has not been surprised by the power of saying 'no.' What a rush that is, what women have always enjoyed. Or the fun men can have by telling a dolled-up woman that he respects her as an individual and a person, and doesn't want her to feel like a sex object! Oh, that is too fun.

Guys, don't let the women read this. It will get them mad if they find us playing their game. We are supposed to be a caricature of horny teenage boys our whole life, grateful for anything we can get.

But that is sexual politics. Which is really what those statistics are all about. It is measuring those who need little seduction, against those who define sex as 'just an orgasm.' Sexual illiteracy keeps the hunger down, and Madison Avenue at bay from being more effective in manipulating us with sex. It shows the superficiality of the subject in the public domain, the subliminal control of the visual animal. By these statistics, it shows that the pornography of all media, and even the prevelance of online naked men and women, has limited impact in these sexually free times.

There are still taboos, especially the erect male organ, which was everywhere in ancient Roman society, and even modern Japan. It points to the civilized fear of men, freedom, and controlling the symbol of life creation. And by treating women as just visual objects of beauty, we disrobe her of the danger she represents as the creator of life. We are in control with birth control. In control of our pleasures and life. Everything neatly compartmentalized and non-threatening.

So, in a way, we are less sexualized than our repressed Victorian ancestors. There is no danger of the wild, unpredictable nature of sex. Passion, mystery, and danger. Its now just recreation, like everything else. A bodily function, like eating and sleeping. My, how boring we have become! Hmmm, I wonder what Cassanova would say about our times?
