This is great news, thanks Mallika. Lets all join the band wagon and next year let the "YOU" become "Us" or "We".

Mallika,

That's so Esoteric.

But anyway in that spirit, if you click my name you can see the BlogPulse for intentBlog. You can see things like other blogs referencing this one.

Very interesting data.

6 Different data set tabs.

This is one sample of the total Global Mind Metrics available.

By the way Global Mind Metrics is at zero on Google, I just coined it to establish a new reality. Let's watch it spread and grow as a meme.

Hi mallika ,

Though what I am posting is out of context with your post, but I have to post it , so that I can register my protest in my small way.

This was answer to the news item on www.ibnlive.com about whether Sanjay Dutt will be acquited or not??

To that my take---->

Yes why not after all he is a super human being, more humn than humans like us, so he deserves it , he can connive with terrorists and then make a Munna Bhai and be merry, and people like Sunil Sheety , support him with signatures.
Then why is the government playing with the lives of security personnels, they should all resign en-mass, they can
1 Acquit Sanjay
2.Absolve accused of parliamentary attack
3.Give the most honest minister award to Lalu
4.Declare JMM chief , as the most pious politician living on earth
5. Recommend a Bharat Ratna for Sanjay
6. Sandeep Dubey's murderers can be give the Kirti Chakra
7. Manjunath's murderers should be garlanded by the Prime Minister
8.Jessica's murderer Manu should be should be given compensation for going through such a long trauma.

Dear Mallika,

I just read the article. Talking about critical mass.... :)

I was just reading through the article, this stood out.

It's about the many wresting power from the few
It's about the many wresting power from the few
It's about the many wresting power from the few

Sounds like a familiar theme, meme, doesn't it?

Kind of like the one in Infinite Play the Movie, the one movie that blends with reality.

Things should really pick up in 2007.

I guess Time didn't have the courage to have the Iranian President at it's " Person of the Year", so instead caters to our collective narcissism. I didn't realize that I'm on the same level as
Lech Walesa was in '82. Gee a little blogging or instant messaging action and viola I'm part of greatness. Now I know how irrelavant Time Magazine at $6 a copy for 64 pages has become.

Steve

lol steve... i read earlier that they couldn't pin point anyone for the information age so they thought to make it "you" coz its the contribution of all that matters (together) for this.... pretty exciting eh ;)

Hello Mallika and Everyone,

I am so happy to have been picked as Time's person of the year! I must admit, I think I am a lot better looking than the President of Iran, and, also, a tad nicer, and, yes, I do consider myself equally worthy as any other past or future person of the year. I am just wondering what took them so long in making this wonderful discovery!

Congratulations to ME!! Time's 2006 Person of the Year.

oh, and, to you, and you, and you, and, well, yes, you too.

have a great day all! peace ruth

"You" or "Me" has always been important whether Time magazine recognises that or not , but the onus was on Time magazine to select one person who could stand out in the crowd by the dint of his/her contributions made to the world but I guess theycould not because of reasons best known to them.

Besides by "You", I am taking it as the common man or masses, this year has not seen any contribution from the masses per se, otherwise we i.e. "You", would have been able to stop or reverse many illogical decisions of heads of States, anyways but the American Public warrants a word of praise as they registered their protest(against hteir government's Iraq Policy) by rejecting the "Republicans".

I cannot help but be reminded of albert camus here:

I rebel, therefore we are.

Nicely done Time:-

Time Magazine, you are right on the money this time.

For the first time in recorded history, we can all, no matter what part of the globe we may reside on, instantly communicate our opinions and/or visions with one another and with the rest of the world and it can, and does, make a difference. You do not need a medical or law degree to validate your opinion: this medium provides you an even playing field. There are many great, creative and brilliant minds, all over the world, living in relative obscurity and anonymity. But this medium offers them a grand opportunity to make a difference. It is indeed a marvelous achivement by all standards!

Well done, Time!

Here is some of what you affirm:-

“Look at 2006 through a different lens and you'll see another story, one that isn't about conflict or great men. It's a story about community and collaboration on a scale never seen before…

America loves its solitary geniuses—its Einsteins, its Edisons, its Jobses—but those lonely dreamers may have to learn to play with others (us).” Indeed!

Regards...
