It sounds interesting that Deepak has written a book about the Buddha's life.

But what baffles me is that apparently he's written the story from the Buddha's perspective and that no other book, to his knowledge, has shown what it must have felt like to experience the dramatic changes in his life.

How could he tell the story from the inside? That sounds like an impossible feat.. or could it be that he was Siddhartha in a past life? :)

I think there are good reasons for it if no other author has attempted this before... Most people will probably think it's preposterous.

I once read an interview with Deepak Chopra where he said he did not consider himself to be enlightened, so how did he go about describing the Buddha's experience of enlightenment from the Buddha's perspective? I'm a feeling a bit confused about this...

One might wonder what Buddha has been doing all this time.

Does anyone know what Buddha looks like? When I was trying to get info on the www a long time ago, someone claimed that Buddha has a long narrow face, which I think they assumed by a mask or mold or statue that was found.

I was curious when I saw this holigram of 3 faces on the silver metal of my shower door. First I saw what I assumed to be Jesus with his head turned to his right, then the image changed to a woman looking down, which I assume is Mary, and finally I saw what I thought might be Buddha. They were all wearing a hooded cape and I only saw from the neck up. The Buddha looking person had a round face and not a long face and he was look directly at me.

Anyway, thanks Richard for that website sight, as I will check it out since I could not find much on Buddha in my search. I cannot wait until Deepak's book comes out on May 1! My dream come true :-)

... says that that Buddha is a frame of mind and might not be a specific person. I don't know. So I guess I will read up on Buddha when I have more time. And it does not appear that Buddha wears a hood according to what I read on Wikipedia.

Someone told me that they thought the third firgure was John the Baptist, as they had heard of the three together. Who knows and I certainly did not see any names written by the images, but felt that I knew who they might be. Anyway, they certainly had a holy appearance of peace, love, and compassion.

fyi: www.deepakchopra.com and www.chopra.com all worked for me yesterday and today, however the message board was unavailable for a little while on chopra.com and now there are two boards there; and the myspace.com also worked, but a pain to deal with as it seems really slow and messy, so maybe internet was slow for me yesterday and the day before.
