Dear D.K.
Hope you and your family had a wonderful day!
Since we are still commenting here...
Master Kirpal believes it is tougher to follow the spiritual path in the West. He also goes on to speak
of the difficulties involved in serving a Master in Heaven(inner)
as opposed to finding a Master 'in the flesh' to serve
right here on this very earth.
Since we are to deny the possibility of a personal God,
are we then to find a substitute in the form of a living Master
that walks and talks as we do, but is totally righteous?
Initiation had better begin then, before one starts
upon a career path, gets married, has kids, buys
a home, accumulates toys and responsibilities, etc. etc.
What would the world be like if we all just dropped everything,
quit our jobs, left our families and homes to fend for themselves,
shirked off all accumulated responsibilities, etc. etc.
...and we all hit the road in search of a Master to selflessly serve?
Maybe some can get away with that in the East, most likely, yes.
Around here, the cops would be on your trail in a very short time.
They would think you were kidnapped.
If they caught you and you confessed to leaving,
and the reasons you gave for doing so were because you believe in a deterministic philosophy and you
really had no choice in the matter(my Master called),
they would 'have no choice' but to take you away in the Funny Wagon.
Master Kirpal is no longer with us, God bless his soul.
The body of the great man, Einstein, is turning into
the dust of the earth while his brain is being pickled.
If we are to look for "Master's: Live Coverage",
why do you keep posting the words of those who have passed?
Is there no new "Good News" anymore?
With a contemporary twist?
Or shall we keep on putting old wine into new bottles?
Do we really have a choice between the well-trodden spiritual path of old
and the New Age charismatics of today?
We do if we can find the science that bridges the gap
between our personally perceived reality and The Truth.
God bless and help us all! Peace, Keith~

Dear Jeff
Thank you for your postings, which are difficult to comprehend.
Perhaps you will consider the use of plain English as opposed to a pretentious and frivolous format, which is clearly not from your alma mater.
Nonetheless, I can assure you that your friend Ravi -- is that you too (along with WhiteWings, Jeff and Ravi!) -- has been replied to within the HQR Live Chat.
Thanks

Dear Keith
I was contemplating the life of Julius Caesar the other night in the context of his difficult time with the Roman Senate and with his friend -- and later his adversary -- General Pompey.
Based on one interpretation of what you are saying, there may be no benefit in contemplating the lessons learnt via Julius Caesar, because he is no longer in the flesh and blood and also his times are long gone... I am sure you do not mean that.
His Holiness Master Kirpal's words are as fresh and relevant today as they were when He was around in flesh and blood. The same goes for the father of Relativity -- Albert Einstein, whose work forms the basis for the R component of HQR!
On the subject of renunciation and finding a Master, your intepretation is not quite right. The Great Spiritual Masters have suggested that a human being must carry out his/her duties and look after family responsibilities first and foremost. It is the job of The Great Spiritual Masters to find their disciples as indeed it is in God's Will to unite us with Him and not vice-versa.
How can a less powerful, nay impotent, pole perceive or comprehend and identify a much more magnificient and grander one? It is in the magnanimity of the greater power to bestow awareness and comprehension to the lesser one.
As HH Master Kirpal once said, realising God is not difficult, becoming a human being is. Even God is in search of a good human being.
With love

Dear DK,
I would like to comment on one quote in your latest comment:
"As HH Master Kirpal once said, realising God is not difficult, becoming a human being is. Even God is in search of a good human being."
Indeed and it takes a whole lifetime (and even more if you believe in reincarnation) to practice :)
Not for nothing it is said: "If you want to improve the world: start with yourself" or the other one: "be the change you want to see in the world".
So dear Keith,
Do not worry, everyone is capable to live his or her inner truth. Surrendering to your inner self, accepting it, trusting what comes in your mind from there and going with the flow, "knowing" that there is this subtle selfknowledge that can strengthen you. In other words: to love yourself no matter what. This has nothing to do with ego thinking. Neighbourly love can only be practiced if you are first fully capable to love yourself.
Jesus said: " Love your neighbour as yourself".
The second part of this sentence has always been forgotten to be interpreted in the way it was meant. Only then the other sentence "The kingdom of heaven is inside you" makes sense. At least this is the way i see it.
What helps me a lot is being aware of what you radiate. Radiation is like a boomerang, in most cases what you radiate you receive back.
I am confident that we are capable to find the "science" or "knowledge" that bridges the gap :)
Peace :), Mieke
Thought of the day by Lightworker:
Thought of the Day
Five minutes, just before going to sleep,
given to a bit of directed imagination
regarding achievement possiblilities of the morrow,
will steadily and increasingly bear fruit,
particularly if all ideas of difficulty, worry,
or fear are resolutely ruled out and replaced
by those of accomplishment, and smiling courage.
- Frederick Pierce
Dear D.K, and Mieke,
In the East, a mature man(not many women) can take
a month or so off the clock and visit an ashram or
possibly go to someplace like Deepak's "Wellness Center",
and not many give them a hard time about it.
In ones senior years, it is not uncommon to find
those who finally get to pursue the spiritual path
exactly because they have already fulfilled the requirements
set forth by their culture and sufficiently have
finished the goals set forth by the responsibilities they incurred when they were younger.
Perhaps I'm a bit impatient and wish to be of retirement age now
because my work is not fulfilling and my kids are yet children.
I have a long wait unless I win the lottery.
Anyway...sometimes the creative impulse trumps
the knowledge of old.
Granted, most of the time knowledge expands by building
upon the works of those who came before.
I've said this before, imho, we should not set out to prove
the Master's sayings unless we are ready to bring in
the 'new math', as it was called when I began kindergarten.
Being a rebellious kid, I was suspended permanently about halfway through it and didn't graduate. Ha!
I think we'd be better off if we first set out to define
Reality as we find it or as it begins to define itself in a new way.
Maybe this year we will see something new at CERN.
It is hard not to have preset expectations about any coming event
or any new discoveries yet to be uncovered.
And Mieke, yes! It is difficult sometimes to love oneself,
but that is the prerequisite to loving others.
Or maybe not...altruism and caring for others is a learned trait and not one we're born with.
Does it matter which one we learn first?
Gotta go, I'm late! Keith~
Hi dear Keith,
Well, to me it did in a way. Finding out what other women of all ages had to endure in their lives and than comparing it with oneself´s was the first step for me to see it all in perspective (relative lol) and learning to love oneself gave us the confidence to start anew and to me things turned 180 degrees and from then on things got only better and better :)
May your dreams come true!!

Keith, I would say, be true to yourself rather than to any body, holy book or guru. Taking care of yourself will automatically take care of others. If Gandhi's oft quoted "Be the change you want brought into the world" is good, then on the same lines taking care of yourself too should be good as it will also eventually help take care of all.
