Dear Friends, the following is worth bearing in mind in the context of Holistic Quantum Relativity as submitted by Fresporta on IntentBlog.

As a software engineer by training, one finds Fresporta's remarks very insightful when he writes, "May I ask you to put more information about the 1000 Petal Lotus of HQR: Holistic (H) E8 Vector Visualisation in String Theory (Q+R) like the 1,000 Petal Sahasrara Lotus in Spirituality. I would like to know, who the designer is and when and where was it first depicted. The Picture reminded me of the front cover of a book of a compilers course I took. The book is 'Engineering a Compiler' by Keith Cooper and Linda Torczon."
The reply to the first part of the question by Fresporta has already been made within the Holistic Quantum Relativity Socratic Dialogue HQR: Holistic Pyramid, Sahasrara, Sri Yantra, Creation to begin with and specifically over HQR: E8, String Theory, Sahasrara, Spirituality.

Engineering A Compiler with the image of The Birth of Consciousness

As one looks at the more detailed image of The Birth of Consciousness above one notices the four forces like arrows concentrating towards the centre and also one notices light and dark creative energies coming together to create the nascent Sashrara lotus of the entire creation.
Fresporta writes, "The cover image is 'The landing of the Ark' or 'The Birth of Consciousness' designed by John Outram. It is a painting on the ceiling of Duncan Hall at Rice University, Houston, Texas. It is executed by John Outram Associates of London, England."
This is an interesting synchronicity because John Outram Associates have been the lead architects for the award winning Judge Business School buildings at Camridge University England founded by my good friend Sir Paul Judge. Having spoken to John Outram today, we look forward to receiving his descriptive for The Birth of Consciousness.
Fresporta further writes:
Description of "Birth of Consciousness" in the Duncan Hall: The ceiling of the Main Hall is a vault, roughly fifty-five by seventy-five feet. The mural found there encodes a myth titled "The Birth of Consciousness." At first glance, it seems that the flower in its center must hold the key to its meaning. Look, however, directly east
of the flower to find the small black spot. The spot is nothing.

However, nothing has a dual -- that which is nothing. You will find it opposite nothing, to the west. Once nothing notices its dual, thy begin a random conversation, which you can see running between them. This conversation leads to self-awareness, begetting consciousness -- the flower in the middle.

The flower is the primal energy event, akin to the "Big Bang." Around it, the universe forms, creating both space and time. As matter coalesces into the twin planets, seemingly made of cinder block to show their solidarity, it forms day to night in a boat made of papyrus reeds. It is falling apart, probably due to its ancient construction.
This entire depiction of these ideas is carried in the center of the raft of migration (see Entablature). You can see the raft's outline, with its structure of logs that surrounds creation. The raft rides on the blue ocean, beyond which lies chaos. The corners of the raft carry crystalline mountains, which condense the sea-vapors evaporated by the
sun to form the rivers flowing out to the corners.
Like many artists, Outram has produced multiple explanations for this work. In particular, the curious reader might consult his "Outline of an Iconography" and "The Log of the Navigator."

Dear DK, thanks to Fresporta and then to your detailed explanation, as I see it, we could hardly find a better representative diagram of HQR.
Indeed two worlds, one our usual 'straight' world represented by light circle, in which the universe gets disentangled from four basic forces, more easy to describe by the relativity theory, and the other, the other way around world(downward-pointing pyramid, remember?), further comprising of anti-world and virtual world, represented by dark circle, in which the universe gets further entangled into the same four basic forces, more easy to describe by the quantum theory, meet and annihilate at the end of the previous cycle of the universe, most probably in the gravitational collapse of some far off star, to give birth to Big Bang, to Unified Force, to Consciousness, to the new universal cycle of evolution.
Some scientists call this a 'vacuum' model of the universe and I fully concur with them, except that I take this 'vacuum' to be the ground or ground Consciousness on which we then begin to develop our usual differentiating consciousness. Here is one, Rusian scientist G.I.Naan for one, as quoted in my book Self-Designed Universe:
"A crude model of vacuum can be conceived of as an infinitely great supply of energy of one sign, compensated by as large a supply of energy of the other sign."
Doublessly one sign here represents light circle and the other, opposite sign dark circle.
And indeed again, the experience of oneness, of opening of Sahasrara or thousand petalled lotus makes one feel he/she has seen the happening of Big Bang as Mieke will testify.

Keith. I, too, read that poem yesterday. Beautiful.
DK,
Though I've offered little to your HQR discussions, I enjoy reading them. A thank you to you and all who contribute.

Dear DK and Harb,
In the first place many thanks to Fresporta for describing the "Landing of the Ark, the Birth of Consciousness which i can also call the Merkaba or the Ark of the Covenant with its four Cherubs (four forces) from the Bible. Everything connects to everything and these are certainly very powerful archetypes, which we all carry inside and now are finding back everywhere around the world: for instance the Sahasrara Lotus and the E8 :)
And yes Harb, i saw some coloured balls floating in space, connecting with each other, overlapping one another (the beginning of the Flower of Life, another symbolic archetype, developed further by Drumvalo Melchizedek) and then suddenly a small dot to the left in front of me (nothing) bursting out into the most beautiful colourful curtain i have ever "seen", radiating such a love that i cannot describe it proper in words. I really "saw and felt" it with the inner eye, the eye of God.
Engineering a compiler lol, been busy doing that from the moment i had this experience, at that time there were no programming books, had to do it all by myself :)
Love, Mieke

It would be interesting to hear John Outram's explanation of "The Birth of Consciousness" in the context of Holistic Quantum Relativity Dialogue.
Harb and meike please note that the descripton of "Birth of Consciousness" is not mine but is from the link I provided for the description of Duncan Hall. It is an abridged version of an explanation provided by John Outram.
"The ceiling tells a story-a cosmological, philosophical story. Outram has told several versions of the story, the interested reader is encouraged to visit his web site. We have recorded an abridged version of one such explanation."

Keith D. Copper(Co-author of 'Engineering A Compiler') who is an associate professor of Computer Science at Rice University has worked closely with architect John Outram in the design and construction of the Duncan Hall, which now houses the department of Computer Science.
"Outram has written a series of essays about Duncan Hall and the philosophy that guides his practice."

Dear Fresporta,
I had one look at the 1st floor plan on the website of John Outram to immediately recognize the floorplan of the famous Notre Dame Cathedral of Chartres. Have a look hereunder at Wikipedia page:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cathedral_of_Chartres
You can see by both floorplans that they are designed in the form of a ship.
Many Gothic churches are build in this way. I saw another one in Barcelona not so long ago. From an aeroplane the shape of those chuches can be seen the most clear.
The famous Notre Dame in Chartres has an 800 year old labyrinth that lies in it as a womb at the Western entrance.
Those Gothic churches are all "Notre Dame" churches, dedicated to the Madonna and child which archetype goes back to the Egyptians:
the female aspect of life :)
Dear DK,
It is great that you got Fresporta to join the HQR dialogue as a contributor. I agree with him in his remark "It would be interesting to hear John Outram's explanation of "The Birth of Consciousness" in the context of Holistic Quantum Relativity Dialogue". Particularly so because according to our spiritual Masters Consciousness has no birth or death.
"Look, however, directly east of the flower to find the small black spot. The spot is nothing. However, nothing has a dual - that which nothing. You will find it opposite nothing, to the west. Once nothing notices its dual, thy begin a random conversation, which you can see running between them. This conversation leads to self-awareness, begetting consciousness - the flower in the middle."
HQR has achieved its goal of unifying science and spirituality by accepting that self-awareness is created from nothing and displaying several beautiful designs drawn by computer programs.
Recently I cam across the E8 rendering and was quite moved to see this image as it was reminiscent of a vision I had several years ago--I believe it was in November of 2006. I was reading a book in bed and suddenly felt very tired. I turned off the light, but before I could lie down I fell into a very deep hypnogogic trance. I had never had anything like this happen to me before. Within this deep trance I saw the most amazing site I have ever seen in my life.
I saw a lotus comprised of thousands of petals, all a translucent white and extending in all directions to infinity--or at least to the edge's of my mind's eye--although deep within I felt that this image was infinite. Each petal had within it a perfect circle that was also translucent and all these circles overlapped one another slightly. The image seemed to be slightly depressed in the middle as if there was an opening there and the petals seemed smaller near this opening. At the edges of my mind's eye the petals also seemed smaller.
It is impossible really to describe fully the power of this image as I looked at it. There was no way I could focus on one part for to do that was to lose the entire image and feeling I had from seeing this.
I have had one other experience that had this feeling of impossibility of seeing only part of the image. This occurred while receiving an acupunture treatment when I felt as if some kind of white energy was spiraling into my crown chakra and then I saw a in my mind's eye what looked like sanskrit and these began to form what looked like some kind of crystalline structure and then a series of images began to rapidly appear and disappear within my mind's eye that seemed to depict everything that had ever happened and would happen. If I tried to see any of the individual images the entire image would disappear, but when I let go of wanting to concentrate on portions of the images I could see everything.
This image of this lotus was much the same. I could only see it wholistically. When I tried to observe, when I focused, when I desired to capture it would leave and then when I let go of this desire it would reappear.
I am not exactly sure how long this state happened, but it may have been as long as 20 minutes. Then this lotus exploded into the most brilliant white light and I was overcome with joy. What surprised me is that when I came up from this state I saw that there was still the impression of a white light that could be seen through my eye lids. And I found that my hands were raised palms up and outward as if someone were handing me a large bowl. I do not recall having raised my arms like this before this state and my arms were trembling with such intensity that I think they may have been like this for some time.
I felt the desire to lie down and I lay there for a great long time and I cannot quite describe the way I felt, though I will try as best as I can.
I was aware of some kind of pulse that seemed to not be my own, but belonging to something much larger than me and this pulse seemed to be something like the ticking of a clock, but there was a feeling of infinity between each pulse and yet that each pulse was not separate from the others but occurring simultaneously. And I felt as if I was going into the infinity between these pulses and felt that infinity as if I had always been in existence as if I had always been here and would always be here and I was not separate from the universe and was not separate from others but that I was connected to all things and that I was everything and that I was infinitely small and infinitely large. And as I began to come out of this state, I realized that "I" had disappeared and I no longer had any sense of self. This didn't seem strange at all while it was happening, it was only as I merged back into our reality that I found it odd to have no sense of the self I had possessed. I began to prepare myself for bed and as I lay down I knew that in the morning my other self would reappear--that it would have to--and I was accepting of this.
For several years I looked for images of this vision and ran across descriptions of thousand petalled lotuses, but never saw anything that remotely resembled what I saw. I had been thinking of trying to recreate this image myself. (I had studied art in college and was a sculptor, but am out of practice.)
And then I ran across this image of E8 and felt such tears of joy come to me. It was like seeing a familiar friend.
A very unusual gift came to me as a result of this vision. I now have the gift of medical insight. I can go into deep trance, that is like sleep and when I am there I see images of the person I concentrate on and I see where his or her health might be faltering. I do this only with a person's permission, however. This trance is very strange because I am unable to move or feel my body, but I can see and remember what I see--although sometimes I cannot remember when I cross back across the threshhold of consciousness. Each time I do a reading I see the lotus though in a much dimmer state. It looks at first like the star cluster of Pleiades and then it approaches me (or perhaps I approach it) and I go right up to it and then I fall into trance. There is a hole at the center and sometimes I wonder if I enter this hole as I go into trance. I do not know.

"An Evolving Course"
.
We began as a mineral.
We emerged into plant life and into
the animal state, and then to being human.
And always we have forgotten our former states,
except in early spring,
when we dimly recall being green again.
That is how a young person turns
toward a teacher, how a baby leans
toward the breast, without knowing
the secret of its desire,
yet turning instinctively.
So humankind is being led along
an evolving course through this migration
of intelligences, and though we seem
to be sleeping, there is an inner wakefulness
that directs the dream.
It will eventually startle us back
to the truth of who we really are.
