Being English I can't adequately express, in a succinct way, my feelings of delight and excitement that this clip merits.

Personally I think it was all scripted. Everybody knows even the animals belong to Equity in these National Park 'wildernesses'. But they put on a first-rate show, nevertheless. Absolute pros. Especially the young Buffalo. He's got a great future ahead of him in Rep.

Interesting comments Luke. Curious: have you ever been to that part of the world?

Yes, it was scripted for all those watching now by the Divine. What you see is a part of your own consciousness.

If you pay attention you will see the scriptedness in the events occuring around you now.

Naturally I was just 'avin a larf Saira.

If you want my honest opinion then I was absolutely transfixed by the whole film. As a social animal and a father I was empathising with the Buffaloes; willing them to give the lions a bloody good hiding and rescue the calf.

I've never been to Africa, but have spent some time in Indian parks. My in-laws have a farm near a relatively quiet park called Todoba which is very low-key and enjoyable.

We have a mud-hut there: http://www.clayhouse.co.uk

The more famous parks can be abit of a circus. Perhaps that's the root of my previous comment.

overall I'm very interested in wilderness areas and how governments manage them in relation to the human settlements and communities within them.

Now they're just pockets compared to the vast belts of jungle they used to be and they can almost be viewed as man-made environments. Or man-managed at least. But I guess that's a different topic.

Thanks for sharing the link. It made my day :)

Nature is very interesting it is linked to our consciouness, death brings life.

The emotion is strong, the world is asleep and it brings pain, it stands between me and my love.

I AM GOING TO STORM AND MAKE THE EARTH SHAKE AND THE WIND WILL BLOW, for my mother's voice is always heard.

I dance the storms, I rage to save the light.

Feel me.

This film was mesmerizing. It was difficult to watch it when the calf was first captured. I expected quite a different ending to the encounter. It's hard to grasp why the lions were not in any hurry to kill the calf. They seemed to be playing with it like a cat plays with a mouse.

The British onlookers sounded as though they were watching a movie instead of actually seeing the event firsthand. They didn't seem especially concerned over the fate of the calf.

I'm so happy about the final outcome. It's the first film of a "lion kill" I have seen with such an outcome.
