Meet Vinay Chakravarty. He went to college with me and is a close friend of my sister's.
He has two weeks to find a bone marrow donor.
Since Vinay is a South Asian, the probability of finding a donor is best within our community. There is a staggeringly low number of South Asian donors currently registered.
Here is how you can help:
1. Find a local drive.
2. Take a few friends, get out there, and get registered (a ten second, painless cheek swab). Go out for some dosa afterwards - order the gigantic paper dosa...you deserve it.
3. If you match, you will get some blood drawn (to isolate stem cells) and you will be our HERO.
If you can't find a local drive, contact me directly, and I'll put you in touch with someone who can get you registered right quick.
