AL GORE JUST WON THE NOBLE PEACE PRIZE!!!! AWESOME!

Joanie

I will hold my peace until that day.
Come. Touch me. Or one near you.

Ask me. Ask them. How do we feel today?
As compared to the times of yore,
when Gore was a wee veep.

What's a Nobel?
Sir Prize?
Leery
Jet?

Chaufeer where
apprehensions
tales lies.

Dear Mallika

Thank you for sharing about the blog action day.

In keeping with that, Al Gore's and the United Nations’ Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change sharing the Nobel Peace Prize for their work on effectively publicizing environmental issues is such a hopeful, positive sign -- it is totally superb to wake up to that this morning.

love, Heath

ever since the nobel peace prize was awarded to yassir arafat and jimmy carter, its credibility has never recovered, and the latest recipients just seal the coffin shut.

Thank you for letting us know, Mallika.

It is the first time that the Nobel Peace prize is awarded because of environmental work. The motivations used to cover political, social, racial issues, but never environmental. It is a sign of our growing global awareness about a major issue, and I welcome it!

Mallika,

What a great opportunity to focus energy. What environment will we blog about: personal or planetary? Is not outer environment a reflection of inner environment?

Trish

OK I'm on Board. My blogs:

I will post about the environment on Oct 15th and urge the posters here to post up something that stimulates discussion on the environment.

The 15th is Monday, everyone!

Hopefully on that day we will be able to remember to "see the forest from the trees", and leave any crosses we have to bear at home, while we rest in faith.

dear Mallika,
did you have a chance to read Anouradha's post?
It's not about the environment per say, but the center is doing wonderful work for children, and it has been dedicated to Anou's mom!
love,
~ Kate
