Dear Friends, there are numerous references to the arrival of the "Golden Age of Peace" in some of the key faiths of the world via a "Spiritual Revolution."
These references are emphatically worth noting and initiating Socratic dialogue upon, as opposed to an unfruitful focus on apocalyptic scenarios. We begin by initiating the next Holisitic Quantum Relativity -- HQR* -- Socratic dialogue on Buddhism, the Baha'i faith and The Golden Age of the Unity of Humankind and Peace with the overarching Grace of The Great Spiritual Masters!
HH Master Kirpal has said, "Truth is eternal, and all Masters taught the same old Truth with one opinion, but their commandments differed according to the prevalent conditions of their time." Many people could not understand the deep meaning when His Holiness said, ‘Mind, that the Golden Age is approaching!’
Reflections on Buddhism and the Bahá’í faith
The Spiritual Master, Gautama Buddha, was born a prince in Northern India around the year 563 BC. Buddha means "Enlightened" and he claimed to be one of a series of Buddhas -- Enlightened Ones -- revealing teachings to humanity over many thousands of years.
The Bahá’í Faith was founded by the Great Bahá’u’lláh, Who was born into a noble family in Persia in 1817. Bahá’ís recognise Him as one of the successive Buddhas, the “Buddha of Universal Fellowship”, for whom humankind had been waiting at the time.
Gautama Buddha promised repeatedly that after a long period of time, another Buddha would arise:
“I am not the first Buddha Who came upon this earth, nor shall I be the last. In due time, another Buddha will arise in the world, a Holy One, a supremely enlightened One… knowing the universe, an Incomparable Leader of men… He will reveal to you the same eternal truths which I have taught you. He will preach to you His faith, glorious in its origin, glorious at the climax and glorious at the goal… He will proclaim a spiritual life, wholly perfect and pure, such as I now proclaim. His disciples will number many thousands, while mine number many hundreds.” (Digha-nikaya, IV.26)
When asked how Buddhists would recognize this new Teacher, the Buddha replied, “He will be known as Maitreya, which means He Whose name is kindness.” The other title for the Buddha-to-come was Amitabha (or Amida), which means “The Glory of the Infinite”. The blessed child born in Persia in 1817 was given the name Husayn, which means “kindness”, but later adopted the spiritual title of Bahá’u’lláh, (“The Glory of God” or “The Glory of the Infinite.”)
The Unknowable Essence
Speaking of the Creator, the “First Cause”, the Buddhist Scriptures say, “O disciples, there is a non-born, a non-produced, non-created and a non-formed. If there were not, O disciples, a non-born, a non-produced, a non-created and a non-formed, there would be no issue for the born, the produced, the created, the formed.” (Udana, v.81)
Bahá'u'lláh described the Supra Universal Consciousness in this way, “The birds of men's hearts, however high they soar, can never hope to attain the heights of His unknowable Essence. It is He Who hath called into being the whole of creation, Who hath caused every created thing to spring forth at His behest… Far be it from His glory that human pen or tongue should hint at His mystery, or that human heart conceive His Essence. ” In one of His books, ‘The Seven Valleys’, Bahá'u'lláh described the seventh valley as “true poverty and absolute nothingness”. This, the ultimate goal of life, is explained as “ the dying from self and the living in God.”
The Basic Truths
Although the basic truths taught by Gautama Buddha remain the same, they are expanded and made more explicit, in accordance with the needs of this age. The Buddha taught The Middle Way, between materialism and extreme asceticism. This approached is reaffirmed by Bahá’u’lláh: “In all matters moderation is desirable. If a thing is carried to excess, it will prove a source of evil.”
The Buddha presented the Noble Eightfold Path as a guide to living. As projected by the Buddha, Bahá’u’lláh taught similar noble ideals. Below are some examples of Bahá'u'lláh’s teachings under the individual headings of the Buddha's Eightfold Path:
Right Understanding
“Man should know his own self, and know those things which lead to loftiness or baseness, to shame or to honour…”
Right Resolve
“He is my true follower who, if he come to a valley of pure gold will pass straight through it aloof as a cloud, and will neither turn back, nor pause.”
Right Speech
"Verily I say, the tongue is for mentioning what is good, defile it not with unseemly talk.”
Right Conduct
“They that follow their lusts and corrupt inclinations have erred and dissipated their efforts. They indeed are of the lost.”
Right Livelihood
“It is made incumbent on every one of you to engage in some one occupation, such as arts, trades, and the like. We have made this – your occupation – identical with the worship of God, the True One.”
Right Effort
“All efforts and exertion put forth by man from the fullness of his heart is worship, if it is prompted by the highest motives and the will to do service to humanity.”
Right Mindfulness
“The station of absolute self-surrender transcendeth, and will ever remain exalted above every other station.”
Right Contemplation
“The meditative faculty is akin to the mirror; if you put it before earthly objects it will reflect them… But if you turn the mirror of your spirits heavenwards… the virtues of the Kingdom will be obtained.”
Progressive Revelation
Bahá’u’lláh taught the idea of progressive revelation. The Founders of the faiths of the world, in every age, reaffirm the universal spiritual truths, but also reveal new teachings appropriate to the conditions of the time:
"Every Prophet Whom the almighty and peerless Creator hath purposed to send to the peoples of the earth hath been entrusted with a Message, and charged to act in a manner that would best meet the requirements of the age in which He appeared." Bahá’ís believe that the new Teaching (Dharma) specifically for this age is the recognition of the oneness of religion and the oneness of humankind.
Bahá’u’lláh introduced teachings designed to bring about this universal fellowship. These teachings include:
· Equality of women with men
. Independent investigation of truth
. Elimination of poverty
. Relinquishing prejudice of all kinds
. A world federation
. A society based on spiritual values
These teachings will bring about the Golden Age of humankind, prophesied by the Buddha as “the world system of the Lord Amitabha”, the ‘Pure Land’.
The Bahá'í writings describe it like this:
“The gift of God to this enlightened age is the knowledge of the oneness of humankind and of the fundamental oneness of faith. War shall cease between nations, and by the will of God the Most Great Peace shall come; the world will be seen as a new world, and all men will live as brothers.”

Dear DK,
thank you for a very timely post. The Golden Age of Peace is truly approaching. What is important to understand is that we are the ones who are manifesting the Spiritual Revolution. This process is not something outside of us, something to be passively waiting for - it is an active process of allowing one's consciousness to be transformed and of clearly and unwaveringly expressing the new perspective of unity.
Regarding the new Buddha that will be the supremely enlightened one, the leader of men, revealing the same truths that have been taught for so long... this Buddha will be revealed inside each one of us. It is happening already, this IS the spiritual revolution that we need to surrender to. The truth of our unity is being revealed from inside, and the "disciples" of the inner awakened essence will number millions. We are capable of realizing our essence now. So through our continued focus, this Age of Peace is already unfolding.
Hello DK!
Being a business man, I would think you would find a few of these virtues troubling.
How does poverty reign in your golden neighborhood these days?
When it is said, no human tongue or pen can touch the glory,
and the mystery can never be explained with words,
and then The Masters turn right around and use words to try to convey this state of 'true poverty and absolute nothingness,
what is going on? And what are they subliminally trying to tell us?
I think Harb does a good job with his book
in explaining the human reasoning behind this. (Hi Harb!)
The teaching listed in third place was for a third-world country, no?
The aristocracy in their day was in no way impovershed, si?
Is it, "Seek true poverty inside, whilst reducing real poverty outside" ?
If you wish to corrrespond, poor ol' words will be necessary.
I was taught but one form of faith as a child.
Thanks to modern technology (f.m. radio to be precise)
and the vocation of music, I was introduced for the first time to another possibilty (a different faith),
when I came upon my troubling adolescent stage.
My first glimpse across the great divide of religious thought
was in this beautiful garden belonging to the Baha'i' Faith.
Lyrical and poetic were the musical harmonies of Seals and Crofts.
(I will attempt to find an example on youtube here shortly.)
One more thing (so many to choose from this rainy morning),
relinquishing prejudice does not relinquish preferance now, does it?
Indeed, the Prophets speak of such a world federation in Revelations.
Collapse and demise come before the golden age in every myth I have read.
Surrender is not always a willing sacrifice.
Sometimes it's an unintentional choiceless awareness.
In your second sentence above, you use the word 'we'.
Please enumerate and elaborate on this. I think you've left someone out.
A new dialogue at HQR*? Why? Are you drumming up interest or bucks?
Sin searingly, Keith
Pardom my mood, Sir. That was a bit harsh, perhaps.
I know you mean well, DK. And you know me...
I understand completely. Maybe this well help explain.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S8lwTg3m2YY&mode=related&search=
Dear Keith,
I understand that you're in "that mood". But isn't this a perfect time to look at where this mood comes from? Can it be so that something is troubling you? Something is maybe interfering with your clarity and your capacity to love and accept others and wholeheartedly wish them abundance?
Maybe you can check your belief system to see if it insists that poverty is what we should all strive for...
This is a stubborn myth, that being poor means being spiritual. Poverty is not a virtue. Poverty comes from lack of awareness. Being spiritual means being aware of the infinite abundance of existence, and of our built-in potential to manifest it. It also means letting go of both the imagined need to have more than one actually needs, and of the fear that one cannot have that, which one truly needs.
Oh, yes... our spirit also requires us to realize that every time we judge someone, we come from a belief that doesn't serve us anymore. If we can find it and change it, the "mood" is gone :)
Thank you for caring , Aurora! Something like...
"I come, not only that ye may have life, but also
that ye may have it more abundantly."
You are right, girl! At this point in my life,
I seem to find many, many reasons to feel insecure.
There is a passage...most likely, a narrow gate awaiting me.
I'm with Dante here. The middle way...
a meddling meddler stuck in the middle of life.
And when in Hell, I'll stand on Lucifer's head
and make it through the trap door, which leads to
my golden ages, over 50, "...to infinity and beyond!"
Peace to you!
I may also add that evolution (change overtime and not Darwinian evolution) happens on its own at all levels and from within because of what Teilhard de Chardin calls 'evolutionary surge' and which is nothing but original superforce of the Big Bang acting through each subsequent system including us humans and all we do with our efforts is actually to prevent it from happening. In fact Darwinian theories only explain our efforts to prevent it from happening. Not for nothing Dawkins writes in his book Selfish Gene "Evolution happens willy-nilly despite our efforts to prevent it from happening."
What this will mean here is that we are doing our best to prevent the coming of socalled spiritual age as in fact we do to prevent the coming of old age. We always try to keep the status quo but the evolutionary surge from within each system overpowers it at due time and breaks through in what Stephene Jay Gould calls 'punctuated equilibrium,' only an other name for quantum jump or paradigm shift at the level of evolutionary system under question.
(((((Keith))))))
this is a big hug to you! :))))
As you stand there on the head of Lucifer, remember to tell him what children here tell every night-time monster: "go away you silly ghost, cause you don't even exist!" :D:D
Peace and love to you friend!
Harb,
I haven't read your book, but speaking about effort...
This transformation can be seen both ways: as happening TO us, or as happening BECAUSE of our will and intention. It depends on where we place our sense of identity.
If we look from the point of view of the separate person, it is happening TO us and we'd better get out of the way :) This is why I think the best way to "speak" about this process with most people today is by mentioning the effects of letting go of our old values, let go of resistance, and to remind each other of how important it is to keep our focus on our real goal.
And if we look from the point of unity, then this playful process is effortlessly seeming to happen, through the own will and intention. Whew ... words :)
The turmoil can be seen, therefore
the scibe cannot dictate. Nay,
the pen becomes a sword
and the tongue --> a forked whip.
50 lashes do I deserve,
another 30 in reserve.
Aye, the controller cometh.
This subject taketh the fifth.
Keith,
while the one is lashing and the other is lashed at... you can lean back comfortably into yourself and ask yorself if you are enjoying the movie. If not... just change it :)
Well said Aurora! But best said at the end with "Whew - words"!!
Hi Keith, this too shall pass. You are going through exactly what you need for your further evolution. As of course everybody else lol.
For the most part, Aurora, I do.
Giving up is not letting go.
To lose is an accomplishment, too.
A loose grip beats a no show.

Harb... :)
I know you do, Keith.
You know... to me, the most touching part is the way she sometimes gets so terrified of surrendering. There is such a "melting" feeling whenever she realizes that she is surrendering to herself. Then I can't do anything else than take her and all her fears in my arms and love her :)
Hello DK and Everyone,
the golden age of peace is alreay here, it has always been here, it will always be here, it is now.
the ego marches along doing what it does, doing it's job dividing and conquering, feeding, nurturing itself through it's constant busyness while peace is the ever-present companion the ego dismisses like a used up ole tea bag....peace, though, knows....
i run out to play in the playground of conflict and get dirty in the mud that is slung back and forth while knowing that with a flick of my attention I can retreat....to the peace....within...the companion I discovered when I fell along the way and injured myself...it was peace..my ever present companion...that eveloped me in it's embrace....oh, and what a surprise...that was...a million dollar discover!
peace, ruth

Dear DK and friends
One of the reasons few people achieve enlightenment is because they see themselves and the Divine as two separate entities ,whereas this is not the case. There is the Divine and then there is the idea of the Divine or the expression of God which is actually man. Being the expression rather than a separate entity gets rid of the twoness as it were but the old problem of what appears to be a private personal mind kicks in and the separation persists.
The only way I was brought to understand how to get over the concept of twoness and experience the “Oneness” of the Divine occurred the other day when a patient called for help complaining that he never experienced God’s love or his presence. At this point I found myself saying “You never will, and that is because you are that presence and you are that love. You never experience it as something coming from outside of you. You can only ever experience it as your own being. You can only recognize it if it is your own being rather that something outside you.”
Enlightenment starts to occur when one sees oneself has having already been authored by the Divine and therefore being everything that the Divine is. It creates a certain amount of discomfort for those unaccustomed to “ being” in this way because it means that God defines what they are , rather then them defining themselves. And that is hard because most people want to have some sort of choice in defining what they are. The problem is, if you think you have a private mind, you are essentially deprived.
Letting go ain’t so easy !
Best wishes to all... and Light! Anthony
The Golden Age of Peace is grounded through personal action.
What action says "I Love You" to our children, parents, grandparents...and to the next 7 generations? What action says "I Love You" to our Earth Mother?
Plant a Tree. Plant a garden. Touch Her skin with your hands letting threads of light penetrate Her strata. Feel Her respond in gratitude. Connect with Her core that holds stable position as all things turn and evolve around Her.
The Golden Age of Peace is NOW.

Hey Tony! Thanks for chimimg in!
Deprivation and poverty are relatives of mine.
Comfort and prosperity are only guests in my house.
When it's time for them to go, I become sad and insecure.
Anthony,
I so agree....we are what we express! If I want to experience joy/love/peace I express those qualities of heart-mind. There is another side of the equation, however, and that is our shadow side that can put the brakes on these positive expressions. The two can find balance and dance as lovers rather than enemies. It's like a gyroscope that can tilt both directions of a positive/negative spectrum. At the center core is a stable force that holds it all together for co-creative purpose.

There is also a Messianic idea in Judaism. And we know that Hinduiism refers to an upcoming Satya Yuga.
I don't think of religion as a hand-me-down story. Religions are a hand-me-down knowledge from the past Golden Age. A past Golden Age is evidenced by the fact that previously nations were ruled by kings, and previous to that they were ruled by Divine Kings. I think the Japanese king who surrendered after WWII was considered an inheritor of Divine lineage. It is also evidenced by the fact that so-called primitive people of the past would have been receiving intuitive knowledge, and religious faith manifesting as security and peace, and not relying on tools for their comfort and ease, nor relying on argument for their entertainment.
Of couse this history also gives rise to the fact that Christianity thinks of God and Christ as King and Lord. Well its not true. God is my Father.

dear Keith,
cool refreshing water,
One need no longer go to the key faiths or to the unsupported utterances of socalled perfect spiritual masters regarding the arrival of the golden age of peace or spiritual wisdom.
It is simply explained in my book Self-Designed Universe as arriving in terms of the interplay of four basic forces or interactins of physics which every system has to go through in each cycle of their life as well as a whole with reference here being to the global cultural cycle beginning with AD era. It is as inevitable as the coming of our old age in the fourth phase of our individual life.
If one is really after knowing the truth of the coming of the golden age of peace one is invited to go through the book thoroughly and then come to me for any doubts.
It is also understandable though if some people want to keep up the mysteries to exploit people spiritually as against physically, emotionally and intellectualy in the past. It is also in the scheme of things, for, as always exploited will suffer and suffering is a pre-requisite for evolving to the next stage.
