I have been in non local space, floating and before me some coloured bubbles or balls.
Suddenly, out of nowhere a point appeared and bursted out into the most beautiful, colourful “breathing” curtain I have ever seen. I felt such an unconditional, overwhelming ever so present all encompassing love, that the words I just used cannot describe what I really felt.
I don’t care if anyone calls this hallucination, I don’t care if no-one has experienced it. I do not care if I am the only one present that has experienced this.
I know one thing, I am alive, totally, and not afraid of anything!
It was a once in a lifetime experience and it changed my whole world.
And nobody can imagine what it is to be really alive!!
And as long as one has not experienced it oneself, one does not know what it means.
And Harb, if you are reading this:
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!
Celebrating with "Advocaat met slagroom"
You are soo RIGHT, am going to publish your book in my country in 2010, one year before the next space telescope will find what YOU have already described :)
Cheers and much love, from the heart phone
Mieke
"peak consciousness experience"
My translation:
Suggests "Pure Consciousness Experience"
(Oneness Experience, Satori, Enlightenment, etc...)
Dear Todd, perhaps you can post some pure consciousness experience of your own so that we may get the winds of what you are trying us to tell you.
If I think about times where I stepped into the warm glow of being, and I take out the 80's, I found the best experiences have not been during hour long meditations, although they were a good 'practice', but in the throngs of humanity, people watching in a major city, when time stops, and all my senses are alert and taking in all that is happening in the chaos, and being content that all is well, that purposes are being fullfilled as everyone goes in their seperate ways. I can remember a few instances like that. In Boston, and DC. Guess I'm a people person. I remember the time in DC I was wandering away from the family group who was traveling with me. My brother in law got concerned that the group was breaking up too much, and yelled to me that I might get lost. I said, 'I'm not lost, I'm right here'
Todd, these days my peak consciousness experiences are when sun and earth break ground and dawn is born. It's an exhilarating time of day as magic stirs life into awakening.
Trish~~
Thank you Mieke, yes I am reading this as I have finally gifted myself a new laptop on my B'day.
You are soo right about your experience.
Todd, here is my experience of what I call oneness rather than of peak consciousness, though I know no words can really do justice to what that really is.
My First Experience of Oneness
By the age of 25 I had completed my degree in Civil Engineering, joined govt. service, got married and fathered two sons. For the next about three years, while my friends and colleagues were busy building up their careers I found myself lost in what one may say are the eternal questions of mankind: Who am I? Where have I come from? Where am I supposed to go after my so-called death? Has my being, my "I" some permanent point of reference or is it merely a chance bubble floating meaninglessly in the wilderness of space? What is space? Where this world ends? What is beyond that? Could it be that all this (alluding mentally to the world around) never have been? Were there then to be no.. nothing …forever….f o r e v e r….. N E V E R…?
Then one day while I was sitting all alone in my brother's rented flat in a big city, suspended from my govt. service, separated from my wife and two children, diseased of unattended body and dejected of unanchored mind, something entirely unexpected happened. Something like lightening but unaccompanied by usual light and thunder seemed to flux out of my head upwards, encompassing simultaneously somehow the whole of the universe into its fold…
Actually it is not easy to describe such an experience…For, initially it so overwhelms your being that you lose all your sense of separateness, of individuality. And at long last when you regain some semblance of your sense of separateness, of individuality even then something like what the scientists call Heisenberg's Uncertainty Principle - simply put which states that at deeper levels you can know one aspect of reality only at the cost of the other - inhibits its truest recollection much more description: in clothing it with words you tend to lose its essential stuff, its essential beauty, in trying to capture its essential stuff, its essential beauty you increasingly get lost to the world of words…
It was not something which had happened to me as say an ordinary incident or even accident would happen to me: a happening, happening to me as something separate from ‘me,’ so that I could simultaneously act as an observer and a participator, so that I could 'note it down' as it happened. It had somehow involved me totally: it had somehow involved even that part of me which was supposed to 'note it down,' was supposed to act as the base on which the mechanism of my memory was to function.
Anyway, what a way of finding the answers! Off go rather the questions themselves. Off goes rather the wall itself between ‘me’ and the rest of Nature which had actually been the cause of all those questions. The questioner, the questioning and the things questioned had somehow got dissolved into one single whole, into one single woolly unity!
First came an answer to an unasked question: "The timelessness of God is the Now." A few months later I was on a mountain, in contemplative meditation, when I became aware of being in union with the whole body of Christ, all past, present, and future souls in one communion. One, yet, each with their own attributes, in harmony with each as a part of One Body. The overwhelming experience of love for and from God was immensely powerful, and all encompassing.
I have had other experiences I consider peak, but this was such a profound experiential event that expanded my awareness over time, freeing me from limitations, and leading me to an awareness being One Consciousness.
Thanks everyone for sharing your special experiences. I love hearing them and seeing if I am missing out on anything.
Mieke,
Somehow I have the feeling you could write several books on such experience.
Bobby,
I can relate to the peak city satori.
Trish,
It's almost like being reborn during that time of the day isn't it?
Todd
Hi Mieke, Todd, I wrote a message a day before yesterday but somehow it was rejected. Mieke, thank you for the b'day wishes and as for the experience I have already written it as "My First Experience of Oneness" under the Rumi thread some time back. If my this message goes I will try to post a copy again. I agree fully with Todd regarding Mieke's experience. Btw, Mieke, I have bought a new laptop after all and may write here more in the days to come.
Hi Todd,
Yeah, i really could, but nobody will be interested :) Our whole generation thinks it is special lol.
Deepak and Lynne McTaggart do already a good job.
And look at the list of writers they have at our disposal at Noetic sciences!
I will write a book indeed, but it will be a present for my children and grand-children when i am dead :)
It has been a pleasant relief to be able to talk about it through this Intentblog though :)
Thanks everyone for sharing their experience and i would like to wish you pleasant holidays and a very joyful beginning of 2008,
Mieke
Hi Harb,
Good you joined us here again :)
The subject of this blogpost has now become a "red thread", woven through all the wonderful messages on this Intentblog through the past few years. The stories told here during this period really bear witness of "The questioner, the questioning and the things questioned dissolving into one single whole, into one single woolly unity".
I have ordered Avtar's book in the meantime. Haven't received it yet but hope to within a few days.
Great you have a new laptop. Am sure somewhere there is an intention attached to it :)
Much love to you and yours, always, in all ways, from the heart phone,
Mieke
Harb,
Your Oneness experience mirrors my own which I described on Suchitra's Power of Pink blog post.
The Crown Chakra Explosion.
This tells me much about you.
Todd
Fascinating Suzanne!

I would like to clarify some things with the question asked. Consiousness that we experience in life is due to energy, movement, color and form. So a peak experience would be something like that, which was mentioned earlier by the bloggers. This has a huge range of different exper. and can be considered a milestone on the spirirtual path, but should be placed in its proper department. It has a limited value and it should be ignored, because Realization is to see God, which is colorless, formless and without movement. The original light of Awareness is well beyond cons. or energy, and is the one common exper. for all when you arrive home. That does not change, and is so douptlessly real that it negates all other experiences. To see God in a realm that is completely different and darkish, is to have your desires and fears washed clean, and see life clearly. A maturing process insues making you more pure and powerful as the years progress. Mundane worldly knowlege is then rendered powerless to hold you captive and God, spiritual contemplation, and energy is your only friend. Your content in knowing the truth behind all that we objectivly see and the mishaps in life are seen as they are. Energy is always pulsating between the negative and the positive being imperfect and fleeting. Perfection only exists in absolute space, the home of the Almighty, our Home. Kurt
Kan,
To diminish the power, clarity and insight of the experiences described here only reveals your own insecurity and lack of unity.
Todd
ONE is always its OWN teacher and pupil :)
That is the fascinating thing of this Noösphere!
Thanks for BEING here :)

Kurt #15, thanks for posting non-nonsense advise.
Kurt appears to be describing his (experience) of The Void which is the formless, conceptless unmanifest. While at the same time dismissing the others experiences and insights.
For someone to share one of their unique, special experiences here is a gift for us all.
The formless Void creates and manifests in all of us. Words don't always adequately explain what someone else is describing or experiencing.
We should respect anothers vision and realize that they are another aspect of ourselves.
Todd
Noor,
I was once a professional athlete.
I am now a personal trainer.
I pursued God the same way I pursued athletics.
With all of my heart and mind.
I suppose I got back what I put into it.
God eventually became Void.

Noor,
Long story short...
I had an NDE at age 21.
Then experimented with many different types of meditations until age 27.
OBE's
Remote viewing
Stigmata
Materializations and Dematerializations
Bilocation and one Teleporation
Underwent testing by scientists and labs.
Then at age 27 experienced an Awakening that I described in Suchitra's blog post a week ago.
Age 27 (The Awakening) to age 43 (now)
Recited the Aum mantra silently several thousand times. I recommend that meditation.

Great comments, and a lot of questions, I'll try my best to answer.
I have had those peak experiences, too but my teacher told me to ignore them, because the real experience will knock your socks off, so I kept at it. If your a sincere seeker you continue the pursuit, remember you are not energy, and its manifestations, your journey is further yet. To see the Void (heaven, God, perfection)and the Almighty takes a determination and perserverence. Don't let anyone kid you it is an around the clock pursuit everyday until it happens. It took me 20 years of research and three years of spiritual contemplation and idnoring the mind (meditation) without a mind decoy, around the clock. So you see it is not an easy task, but well worth it. Its all about surendering all you ever knew about yourself and the world for that step into the unknown, Eternity. The Absolute still space of Awareness holds no form to be true. The Purity of Perfection is you at your core, and its incourruptible, because energy (imperfection)can't enter this realm without first being stripped down to its core, stillness (perfection). Leaving this realm ever pure and unchanging. To see it is to be it, then you know for yourself, and your content in knowing the finale results. I think I strayed alittle, but the power of Stillness is beyond Newton, its Stillness is nessary so the dance of energy can take place making it a strong foundation for manifestation and temporal conciousness in life. Meditation, Meditation, Meditation is the determining factor, and its free, unnoticed by others, and it's done at home, anywhere is good. If your satisfied with a temporary experience in energy, when energy is what you have to loosen your grip from and surrender, in order to see Eternity, you won't Realize yourself here. Kurt
True spirituality is not found by searching for 'better', life; on the contrary, only when you are TOTALLY done with [the illusion of] life... you gain access to the Truth!
Are you still looking for a 'better' life, or, are you totally done with the [illusion of] life?
~ ~ ~ ~ ~
In ancient India, life was divided into four phases:
- Brahmcharya Ashram
- Grihasth Ashram
- Vanprastha Ashrama
- Sanyas Ashrama
In first phase, you learn and play. In second phase, you lead a family and experience sex. In third phase, you lead society and practice discipline.
And, after you are done with all three, only then... you are ready to enter Sanyas...[the search for spiritual truth and] spiritual living.
Perhaps, it was based on solid logic and experience, because, as long as you think you still have something to do and something [other than spiritual truth] to experience... you aren't
ready for spirituality.
True spirituality can't survive being a second Choice. True spirituality accepts no less than your life as the sacrifice.
Only those who are truly ready to die... gain admission into true spirituality. Only thru the gate to death is the entry into... the realm of eternity... into the realm of enlightenment.
Spirituality demands total devotion and is not for those who are still interested serving other masters ["life" aka greed, lust, attachment].
Are you ripe for enlightenment?
Are you ripe for true spirituality?
The question is very easy to answer, once you answer... are you totally ready to die?
Once you are FULLY ready to [mentally] die...
Rest happens on its own! Just a hint might be necessary, that's all!
It is no surprise that so many like Ramana, Tolle, Katie entered spirituality only thru... Death!

Aum is The Primordial Vibration.
Just say AUM.
Or perhaps...
Aum Namah Sivaya
After many recitations the breath slows or even stops. You may experience flashes of blue light but ignore all forms that flash through awareness. Eventually the separate self vanishes and Pure Undivided Awareness dawns.

The non-local manifestations I described were a part of my path to awakening. They are definitely a part of nature and have a definite purpose but usually manifest from ego related intentions into the environment. I rarely experience such events anymore. They die down with ego related identity. However, Universal themes are usually related to such powers and they definitely move the aspirant away from purely materialistic beliefs. Yet at higher egoless and non-conceptual dimensions of awareness these non-local manifestations are a step away from Pure Being.

I just want to thank everyone for such an interesting dialogue. Some amazing consciousness here!
Have a great 2008!

This is a question Deepak asks in his workshops.
Perhaps an NDE, kundalini or heightened state of awareness in meditation. Maybe childbirth.
Any peak experience you learned from.
This isn't a trick question.
