friends travel with you on the roller coaster ride of life ...

hang on,

can you?

love
~

Let it ride, Kate!

.

The mud the blood and the trail of tears...

Go ask Crazy Horse.

.

Sherry,

That was one of the nicest...you are too sweet.

Thank you for making my day!

I keep seeing an image of the Dalai Lama in my mind these past couple of days. So I will tell you the thoughts that arise.

One time on tv there was a documentary about buddhist monks and reincarnation, They told that the monks would have to stand for hours giving discourse and rebuttal on buddhist philosophy.

I was suffering from intellectual indigestion myself yesterday, so I can only imagine how they must feel. I thought I was going to have another psychic vomit, and maybe they feel that way too.

It's not an Emptiness, so much as an emptying.
Words are of the intellect. Spirit is not.
I couldn't rationalize myself out of being sick yesterday. I don't know what is making me feel better today. Other than, there are Divine Companions. There are those that want to help us.
And then there's also good doctors.

Keith, "This is the land where my dead lay buried."

We were out there, to the unfinished monument of Korxsack's Crazy Horse in the 70's. Did his sons ever finish it?

Oh, good morning.

I think I read that it was Black Elk that tried to bring on the clouds in a clear blue sky. So what if someone can bend a spoon with his mind?
Will it stop all the violence and tearfulness of today?

The four forces were initially one unified...
Superforce
Todd

Todd #8:

The unified Superforce is omni-present. We of dark matter have to work to find our way back home....in and with these flesh bodies. Who is willing to do the inner work? Who is willing to stop pointing fingers at others and aiming guns? Who is willing to open heart in partnership with mind? Who...if not us...who?

man went to a barber shop to have his hair and his beard cut as always. He started to have a good conversation with the barber who attended him. They talked about so many things and various subjects. Suddenly, they touched the subject of God.

The barber said: "Look man, I don't believe that God exists as you say so."

Why do you say that?" - asked the client.

Well, it's so easy; you just have to go out in the street to realize that God does not exist.

Oh, tell me, if God existed, would there be so many sick people? Would there be abandoned children? If God existed, there would be neither suffering nor pain. I can't think of a God who permits all of these things.

The client stopped for moment thinking but he didn't want to respond so as to prevent an argument.

The barber finished his job and the client went out of the shop. Just after he left the barber shop he saw a man in the street with a long hair and beard [it seems that it had been a long time since he had his cut and he looked so untidy].

Then the client again entered the barber shop and he said to the barber: know what? Barbers do not exist.

"How come they don't exist?"-asked the barber. "Well I am here and I am a barber."

"No!" - The client exclaimed. "They don't exist because if they did there would be no people with long hair and beard like that man who walks in the street."

"Ah, barbers do exist, what happens is that people do not come to me."

"Exactly!"- affirmed the client. "That's the point. GOD does exist, what happens is people don't go to Him and do not look for Him that's why there's so much pain and suffering in the world."

"We have a choice. What happens in the first second of the next cosmic year, depends on what we do here and now with our Intelligence and our Knowledge of the Cosmos" - Carl Sagan

I have seen his wonderful series on the Cosmos in the eighties on television.

I believe that we are at this crossing point:

When Intelligence and Intellect meet, true Wisdom is born.

Mieke

Hi Simon-(Geordie Boy :)Freejohn

Nice to see you. Thanks for the card and music.

Wishing you the true spirit of the holiday season!

Bonnie

Hi mieke and Bonnie,

This geordie is about the same, (That bad eh?)

LOL

Thanks, I am glad you guys liked the Christmas Card i made online.

I have actually gone back and changed it slightly. Every year when I make one of these things and post it on Intentblog I alwasy post it on the drdeepchop web site and I don't know if I have mentioned this before but I work in schools every day with children. Different schools all over the area where I live and some of the schools play my presentaions for the children and quite often some of them will ask "Who is Dr Deep Chop?"

So I explain that Dr Deep Chop is short for Dr Deepak Chopra who is a very special person who helps people all over the world to understand life and to be as happy as they want tobe through learning his teachings of love.

So this year if any of my schools run this online Christmas card then they will get to see Dr Chopra and read the message I have posted to him on behalf of all of us whom visit Intentblog.

Merry Christmas

Simon xx

Thank you Simon for the beautiful Christmas card.

Hey Simon! Happy Holidays to you! Thanks for the card.

I see you snuck a pic of Dr. D in there in the end. Good for you!

Maybe he'll look. Good to see ya, ol' timer! Cheers!

Simon is the cool cat, Sherry.

I can't keep track of all the names.
Made ya' look, though.

Mary had a little lamb -the virgin mary
Its fleece was white as snow -sanctified
And everywhere that Mary went
The lamb was sure to go

It followed her to school one day -relative knowledge
But that was against the rules - a divine incarnate event
It made the children laugh and play
To see a lamb at school - Merry Christmas

Someone in a position of authority and knowledge assures you that something seemingly impossible is in fact possible. Someone else comes along saying it is not possible, one of the two is wrong.

The person saying it is not possible cannot prove it isn’t, because he cannot prove what cannot be done. You cannot prove a negative.

But the guy who says it is possible can prove he is right, by doing it so.

Why wouldn’t he?

So next time someone says he can do something seemingly impossible, ask him to do it!

My Comparative Religion teacher at the community college I attended started off the first day of class with the statement: I could ease my hand into and through this blackboard right now, if only I knew how.

These days we have a few drop ins at IB who make fun of many poster and contributor. They are a nuisance but no thread to anybody. A couple of days ago one of them picked on Ron Saywack.

Ron is a very well educated posters and there is a good chance that anybody seriously challenging his comments will expose herself as a person of faith who believes without evidence, or “a know-it-all”, “a know-nothing-at-all” or maybe someone simply “having fun”.

Some of these funny guys are actually quit remarkable and their comments often full of double meanings. I for one laughed tears in the past reading them. Who knows, maybe they are just trying to make people think for themselves, it seems evident many IB’ers don’t?

I my view, these funny commentators are less offending and dangerous than those who, from a position of authority and “knowledge”, are teaching and preaching that we can suspend the laws of physics with our mental power. That we can suspend these laws or think them away. Just like that.

Do some of you remember how the resident Astrologer was exposed?
http://www.intentblog.com/archives/2005/12/trash_talk.html

Or the distant healer?
http://www.intentblog.com/archives/2006/10/the_trouble_wit_1.html#comment-127537

Ron will keep posting. There are not enough of his kind in this world. Like Sam Harris says, we don’t need a word for someone who rejects astrology or rcb. We simply do not call people “non-astrologers” or “non-rcbers”. All we need are words like “reason” and “evidence” and “common sense” and “bullshit” to put astrologers in their place, and so it could be with religion and rcb.

Good night, John-Boy. I think I'll go shut my window, it's getting kind a' cool. I bet the lake won't freeze in time for the winter carnival
though. When I was little the snow banks were six feet high. And the snow crunched underfoot.
Could be global warming or just the slow down of the earth's magnetic field, which of course is due to the fact we probably have left Polaris and have nothing yet to gravitate to.
Well I'm sure the stars have it all worked out.

"It is easier for heaven and earth to pass away, than one title of the law to fail."

Good night “mon chérie” I guess you are not in a mood to play and I respect that.

Love you

And one more.

Hey, is Nebraska two hours earlier? They don't probably follow the rules of Day Light Savings Time. No wonder the lake won't freeze. There're shoving all the sun light east.

#17 Christmas greetings Simon, and forgive me.
You are a Geordie and that explains it. As a southern softie I still do understand that a spade is a spade, even if I have bent a few in my mystical gardening life. I knew you were a one-off but there is an impatient arrogance here at IB. I just did not want to class you with.

God bless you, sir.

I bee in CST, dearie.

Sirius Lee on your tall tell-all.

I like your thought-provoking explanations

of nursery rhymes. How comes? Doesn't it show?

It does seem...I mean...in more than a few fairy tales

some sort of other story is always trying to poke through.

So's, I do the hokey-pokey and then turn myself around.

God bless Me2! Okay?

Nice to see there are a few more Brits on here supporting me in my struggle against being Americanised on Intentblog!

Even if you are a Shandydrinking Southerner!

:-)

Simon

ps:

I wonder if I am the only Geordie who blogs on here?

Surely that is not so....

Come on Fellow Geordies make thee self known.

I know I am one of the first people to start blogging on here. When i first started coming on here there was only Marek and one or two others posting. Intentblog must be about two years old now is that right?

Maybe a bit more than that.

How time does fly when you care not a jot

Simon

......Speaking of Marek.

Where is he these days?

Ive not seen him on here in recent times?

I am visiting his country next month, Marek if you are reading this then get in touch and you can buy me a beer in krakow next month me old mate.

So Keith is Keith? And everybody else is someone else?
A rose by any other name would smell as sweet!

I googled CST.
Took a while for Sirious Lee.
Thought at first he was a Southern Confederate.

Hey! I was a A/B student in school.
My childhood was great. Ring-a-levio. All ye all ye in free. It's just my adulthood that got messed up. Have the psychologists figured out an excuse for that yet?

No, I really saw one last night at 11:31, but I suppose its a quote too.

I just heard a segment on NPR about Gotham Chopra's involvement in Virgin Comics.

He had an interesting point that it is a culturally embedded habit for culture in India to suppress its natural expression in favor of western mores and styles.

The segment claimed that once free to express within their own cultural context, artists are free to go wild with their imagination.

So, I guess, they stop "eating at McDonalds".

SORRY. LAST POST OUGHT TO HAVE READ:

From a common man who appreciates the brighter things in life, Happy Whatever you call it.

Thanks for the dot.

To Skep (in your various disguises), thanks for being on this dot with us, and if I have misjudged you in the past, my apologies. I wish you and your family safe travel to down under, a wonderful end to this trip around the sun and a great time in the next one.

To savour our world for no other reason but that it and we are here, to me is enlightenment.

Peace to you and yours on your journey Skep.

Yo, sWORDSman, very cool.

Thanks for the holiday greetings, Skep, and happy travels to the land down under!

Make sure you keep that laptop handy to keep us posted as you cogitate, capture and savor the unequalled beauty of our Pale Blue Dot, in the waning moments of borrowed time.

No matter how many times those Carl Sagan masterpieces are viewed, they remain as powerful, stirring and relevant as ever. Now watch the dimwitted cynics squirm.

#51 Thank you for your good wishes.

The names on this blog seem to change as fast as the faces on the earth. A few years back I went to a lecture in Saratoga being sponsored by the female rabbi down there. The man lecturing was a wily old man who seemed totally schizo, but I remember him saying there was no space between you and me. I liked him, so before I left I went up to shake his hand and he said he never shook hands.
It was only afterwards in the car home that I recognized his face and countenance as the same as that of my guru's Sanskrit teacher. (Recognized from a picture.) And now he was a Hebrew language scholar.
Well, you just never know.

#51-- thankyou for remembering me, during this Season of Perpetual Hope... May 2008, be a year of miracles, and wishes and dreams coming true for you...

Jhansikaraja,
that's just about the most interesting name I've seen on here. I take it you've been here before!

Christmas greetings to you and yours,

ed

goodfriday everyone,

Sometimes sitting in this space you think there is nothing there, no-one there, nothing to do, but then you sit somemore and the space begins to open and you can feel the freeing of your spirit, feel it expand and your being takes a breath and it feels like the deepest breath you have ever taken because you realize the breath was not just of your body but of your spirit....it is like your spirit needs to learn how to breathe..needs to learn how to expand, how to fill the vast ocean of it's being.....to sit in the sacred space of our Self and be.

Hija, Vuelve a Casa...

goodSaturdayeveryone,

Hey there sonny boy! long time no hear....have a grand old time at the grandparents and a jolly xmas and new year...

well, really, it is a little early for the holiday greetings...it is only the 15th...

I am enjoying not doing the holiday decorating these days...my children are grown and do their own and I stopped, no tree, no nothing and I love it. I will help to bake some cookies and buy a few presents, nothing grand, mind you, a little something for someones and help to make a few dinners to share with family but for the most part I do very little holiday stuff. Truly, observing how others cannot seem to tone it down and how ragged they look and act I feel heavenly, relaxed, and rested...

anyway....relax, enjoy the making of the dinners, the baking of the goodies....enjoy, enjoy, enjoy the season to be jolly....hohoho....ruth(the orig)

Dear Irish

Happy Birthday 16 Dec (tomorrow) !!

May all your happiest wishes come true, may you stay strong enough to meet every challenge, may you stay soft enough to appreciate all of life. Bless you always.

To honor the poet, dancer, beach bum and sex god in you, here's Jaan Lewa, sung by Sukhwinder Singh:

love, Heath

Regretfully, I am deeply disappointed with the bizarre forum decorum of some of you I hold in high regard, and, as such, will have to henceforth reassess my continued association with you. With much trepidation, I strongly encourage you to take a break from IB to reflect on the ‘whys’ and to seek help when and where possible! You are obviously intelligent enough to know that your conduct is highly unusual!

May you all have a safe and peaceful Holiday Season with your friends and loved ones!

With warmest regards,

Dear Heath, Dear Ron, because I see you here:-)

May your Christmas be bright and your respective light ever be dear to my heart.

And, of course, I drink to all virtually absent friends. You know who you are.

Love Ed.

Yo! You should check out

www.moveyourasson.org

If this post remains #88,

then the Christmas Grinch

is "Stooge For The Day".

Didn't you see Ron's ultimatum?

We are actually supposed to talk about something in particular.

I imagine that's why he used the word 'forum'.

Can we start a trend for 'em? Like...plea bargaining?

Soul-less pleas, of course, dear Ron. No amount of snow will cover the sins.

*A fast-developing scene cast it's net over my attention.*

There I was, half dreary-eyed and exhausted after a long day's work...

Wishing only to catch a well-deserved respite from the chaos,

I found myself in the midst of an uproar going on down below.

To the best of my knowledge, there were no gremlins running amok.

With a quick visualization from memory, I ran through a dozen donuts:

magical flying reindeer
silvery jingle bells
tempting sticky mistletoe
a one-horse sleigh on ice
snowflakes on eyelashes
a smoldering corn-cob pipe
a wet, shiny red button-nose
colorful ribbons & fancy-tied bows
Glitter twinkling in a wide array of reflections
a well-placed child sleeping on the sofa beside the TREE
ram-bunk-shoe-us light bulbs greedy for attention
A trail of tears from laughing so hard we turned purple

.

If you say topic, I will say something. See?

Oh good, someone's just turned on his heel and tripped the lights fantastic! Best tree in the land, still well grounded, rainbow encircled, and berry appropriate when the juice is off.

hohoho...merry men and women...hohoho

imagine my surprise tuning into IB this morning and having to step, oh, so carefully, over giant turds left behind by our midnight spammers...careful now, watch your STEP!

Then Captain Intelligence paid us a visit and left abrubtly...declaring us below the standard intellligence levels and not fit to read....grumble grumble...hohoho

anyway....how is everyone? we have a nor'eastern in upstate ny and I just went out and cleaned off the car, was going to run an errand, but thought the better of it because now we are getting freezing rain....oh, what fun today will be...the winds and the snows are to come later in the day...so I think I'll bake an apple crisp.

embrace is the word for the day...embrace it all even if it is too much to embrace, embrace it anyway...it is all so much of n0-thing anyway...and it is all a dream come true when it is not being a nightmare.....but embrace it all...big and small.hohoho.....santa on his way...

maybe I will be a little more inspired later in the day...see ya'll later..ruth (the orig)

oh, captain courageous....speaks...and calls us retards....first thank you for that it is an HONOR to be associated with all people who have difficulty whether it is physical or mental...so, yes....and you actually named me one of your favorite retards.....thankyou again...dear sir.

you can run but you can't hide you know who you are and you is watching you and wondering...why? there was such potential....once...but it is never too late...dear sir...blessings and good cheers to all....hohoho (ruth) the original and mr. one of mr dear sirs favorite retards!!!

And who were you, Jhansikaraja, that you were being such kind as to be friendly and yet got cut to the quick? I didn't dare ask if the name had a meaning.

So, like North of the border, I ask, why shouldn't I wish you well? I still do. Will that do?

Good grief, did someone find an orphaned iPhone to play with? Someone is seriously p-o'd and most likely tanked! Should I send smiles? At or with?

The wind is high, it's snow-icing still, brrrrr!!! There's ice on the river. I wonder if the lake is iced over; can the boats move in their cold universe?

Dear Edmund!! Next week those wishes will be returned in exact kind. Until then...

love to _all_, Heath

Oh, isn't he talented....clever....thinks he knows how to give a knock-out punch...but misses everytime....too slow on the footwork...weak, weak lefts and rights....eyesight...not too good...can't hit the elephant in front of nose..too bad..he tries and tries and still he cannot give that knock-down, knock-out punch...misses everytime...hey dude...why don't you try...knitting a scarf...maybe that is more your style...

ruth (the original) and one of your faves!

dear simon,

it is all water over the bridge as far as I am concerned...I'm not taking it here nor there, up or down, or round and round...

watching him work so hard to give that knock down knock out reply....is just to tempting leave alone...lifting weights that are obviously over your weight limit is sad and amusing at the same time...really...this dear sir needs something much more restful...more within his weight category...we, here at IB are much too fast for him....and he knows it but can't quite accept it...he opens the door and well I had to invite myself in for a visit and go round...but I'll offer him the towel to wipe the sweat from his brow.....

hohoho merry one and all (ruth the original) and fave....bye

well, enough of this for the day...

the floor is too wet from the sweat of this poor boy's struggle...with his love-hate relationship towards IB.....

have a wonderful day one and all....ruth

#101 Jhansikaraja is a ...well you infer the significance.

Thank you.

Right on cue, but we can't blame this Brit, can we?

Note to Admin. Could you please send out an email to the crazy person that posts those long ass reruns
it takes forever to scroll through them!
Thanks.

Guess I went to pre Christmas Christmas party.
Got somewhat Intoxicated.
And I think Santa had his way with me.
Had to use all my will power to dial my lawyer's number.
He said I'd been set up and framed.
Nevertheless, I do recall someone saying they would deal with the red haired devil.
Had to research the coloring, but that was the nicest thing said at the party.

By INVESTOR'S BUSINESS DAILY

Election '08: Muslim activists are in a full-court press to influence the presidential debates — and war policy. No matter what they say, they don't represent ordinary Muslim citizens.

I love your spirit, I love you, too.

Question: "Are religions and teachers of use on our spiritual journey?"

Ramana Maharshi: "If they can help in the quest of the Self. But can they help? Can religion, which teaches you to look outside yourself, which promises a heaven and a reward outside yourself, can this help you? It is only by diving deep into the spiritual Heart that one can find the Self."

He placed his right hand on his right breast and continued, "Here lies the Heart, the dynamic, spiritual Heart. It is called Hridaya and is located on the right side of the chest and is clearly visible to the inner eye of an adept on the spiritual path.

Through meditation you can learn to find the Self in the cave of this Heart."

Red Cross Calls For Political Action

Friends,

for more information, see the BBC web page.

BBC NEWS | Middle East | Red Cross demands Mid-East action

The International Committee of the Red Cross has called for immediate political action to contain the "deep crisis" in the West Bank and Gaza. The statement was an unusual departure from its normally non-political stance.

The ICRC said the measures imposed by Israel had denied the Palestinian population the right to live a normal and dignified life. The organisation says humanitarian assistance cannot possibly be the solution in Gaza and the West Bank. The statement comes just days before a major donor conference in Paris. "Why do we call for political action? Because actually we do not think that humanitarian aid can solve the problem."

Also on Thursday, the World Bank said increased aid and Palestinian government reforms will have no real effect unless Israel eases restrictions on travel and trade.

Monday, December 17, 2007

By: Newsmax Staff

"The Kennedy family is divided over the 2008 presidential race, with some members endorsing Hillary Clinton and others backing Chris Dodd, but the biggest catch — Sen. Ted Kennedy — remains on the sidelines."

"No family member has endorsed Barack Obama, politico.com reports, although several have contributed to his campaign."

The Sufi Inner Jihad Of Peace & Love

The news is replete with Muslim (...) seldom are these articles remembered:

THE SUFI INNER JIHAD OF PEACE & LOVE OF KING ABDULLAH OF JORDAN

by His Majesty King Abdullah, Washington Post, December 7, 2002

www.salvationscience.com

"Extremists violently reject the original moderation and openness of Islam -- qualities that made the Muslim world the historical home of diversity and learning. Nor does their violence constitute 'jihad', or holy war. The Prophet Muhammad tells us that the 'greater' holy war is not against others at all but against one's own failings -- the 'war against the ego.'

"Moreover, in a famous speech, the Prophet's follower and first successor, Abu Bakr, commanded Muslim soldiers: 'Do not betray, do not deceive, do not bludgeon and maim, do not kill a child, nor a woman, nor an old man . . . do not burn, do not cut down a fruit tree. . . . If you come across communities who have consecrated themselves to the [Christian church], leave them.'"
