How will you be today?
Supercharged until the blackout?
A background blender until the whiteout?
Have you ever stood out, or been dug out of a hole?
Have you ever tumbled down, or been stood up?
Isn't it wonderful? Isn't it grand?
Isn't it Oh! So! Marvelous?
On the brink.
From billions of searches emerged a fascinating portrait of a culture on the brink — of environmental changes, political breakaways, celebrity breakdowns, and technological breakthroughs.

Winter Solstice: Ok kids, here's a refresher:
In astronomy, the solstice is either of the two times a year when the Sun is at its greatest distance from the celestial equator, the great circle on the celestial sphere that is on the same plane as the earth's equator. In the Northern Hemisphere, the winter solstice occurs either December 21 or 22, when the sun shines directly over the tropic of Capricorn; the summer solstice occurs either June 21 or 22, when the sun shines directly over the tropic of Cancer. In the Southern Hemisphere, the winter and summer solstices are reversed.
Reason for the Seasons:
The reason for the different seasons at opposite times of the year in the two hemispheres is that while the earth rotates about the sun, it also spins on its axis, which is tilted some 23.5 degrees towards the plane of its rotation. Because of this tilt, the Northern Hemisphere receives less direct sunlight (creating winter) while the Southern Hemisphere receives more direct sunlight (creating summer). As the Earth continues its orbit the hemisphere that is angled closest to the sun changes and the seasons are reversed.
Longest Night of the Year:
The winter solstice marks the shortest day and the longest night of the year. The sun appears at its lowest point in the sky, and its noontime elevation appears to be the same for several days before and after the solstice. Hence the origin of the word solstice, which comes from Latin solstitium, from sol, “sun” and -stitium, “a stoppage.” Following the winter solstice, the days begin to grow longer and the nights shorter.
To all WOMEN ever having been present here on Intentblog:
Ladies, lets celebrate this Winter solstice and welcome the Sun to bring in more and more daylight as the earth is spinning around it.
By the way, when looked at the Sun from the Moon, it is always shining in full glory :)

Do you know that in Pagen Britain they used to Worship the winter Solstice by decorating trees like we still do today for Christmas and then afterwards they would all run off into the woods where they would have a mass ,sex ,orgy to celebrate.
Thats what I thought you were going to say when I was reading your post. (Ladies, lets celebrate this Winter solstice by running off into the woods and jump on the first man we come too)
LOL
Anyone fancy becoming Pagen?

Hi Edmund,
Yes, very impressive! Makes one wonder how to be even more alive today :)
A lot of could's in the article and a lot of would's and possibilities. We just do not know.
I only know one thing, the old has always to make place for the new, so better do it in a celebrating way :)
As long as i am able to dance i will!
Mieke
Aha, Meike, I went back to Celine after posting those strange goings on! I wondered what on earth you were up to excluding the MEN. Well, I was pleasantly catered for, after all, and stayed for half an hour or so with Celine reliving a delightful favourite of mine who had, somehow, gone off my radar.
You win!

Well, wise Ed, shall we expect you to oblige the wonderful lady?
Hi dear Ron,
My favourite dance is the Waltz.
Let me invite you and Ed and everyone here to the Second waltz, played by our own (Dutch) Andre Rieu:

Andre travels with his Johann Strauss Orchestra around the world and is very successful. Has been in Toronto last friday :)
He is my all time favourite!

Twas the night before Christmas and all thru the alley
Not a creature was stirring not even old Sally
No stockings were hung by the chimney with care
No hopes of Saint Nicholas were anywhere.
The children were shivering in their cardboard bed
Real long icicles were hanging over their heads.
I in my black plastic bag, Ma in her gunny sack
We’re very depressed; we’d had all we could hack.
When all of a sudden there arose such a clatter
I got out of our dumpster to see what was the matter.
Looking down the alleyway this is what I saw
Twenty seven cop cars from the L.A. law.
Fifty three policemen with bright shiny lamps
Coming down the alleyway, and rounding up the tramps.
The tramps were begging PLEASE but the cops wouldn’t listen
They were throwin em in the wagon, and haulin em off to prison.
I could see we had five minuets to get our act together;
So I rounded up the kids, and prayed for warmer weather.
Ma was gatherin up our stuff, her sack flyin like a cape.
Four and half minuets later were all up a fire escape.
Once upon the roof, we all stopped to catch our breath
No idea where to go that we wouldn’t catch our death.
Johnny heard a tinkling bell because his ears are keen
Then we saw the weirdest thing I think we’ve ever seen.
A glowing silver sphere that was blinking green and red.
Then a voice began speaking and this it what it said.
“Hello down there Earthlings could I offer you a ride
If you want to escape the world below why not come inside?”
We quickly climbed aboard a very large space liner
We were given food and beds and things just couldn’t have been finer
We even though we saw a fat man, then what looked to be an elf
I swear that ship soon had Me and Ma talking to ourselves.
Where in God’s heaven where we, what was this all about
I should have asked em sooner, the kids had figured it out.
Exploring on a lower deck in a storage room tucked away
They had found a big red suit, black boots, and a sleigh!
Advance Merry Christmas

A mind-blowing, unbelievably exciting documentary film named "Out of the Blue" is an absolute must see by everyone on this planet!
It's a UFO documentary packed with actual footage, documents and testimony from many, many credible high ranking military officials from several countries and even politicians including U.S. presidents.
This is the proof we've waited for and it is surreal! Tell everyone about this film because it is the best investigative film on UFO's ever produced to date. The producer has done such a tremendous job of putting this documentary and as more information is coming out they now plan on
Today, cover-ups are being exposed at breakneck speed and we are now at a tipping point ladies and gentlemen. Be the ones to give it one last push and see this film.

Hello there, friends!
Amidst the hustle and bustle of the Christmas season
there comes a time...and, a time goes there.
Not here, mind you, but there. Over there,
far, far away from you and me. It's quite a distance, actually.
Time doesn't stop around here, nor do we see any shrinking space.
Where that idea comes from? Beyond you and me, of course.
The Transcendent One is our Immanence...Our Honor.
Now...you might be saying to yourself, "What has this to do with anything?"
UT has gone off on a tangent once more promoting coordination.
Are you still with Me2? Please, don't follow unheeded.
Companionship at a distance...amazing and wonderful! Ya think?
Luvz and Hugz!

Something weird seems to be happening in the threads now. I read, perhaps add and go walkies and then return to find that randomly interspersed posts of others have magically appeared. Seems like an after-effect of the 'blizzards' we suffered. The snow's faling upwards now, perhaps or is it all up with me? ;)

Pete has no hair, but he is fair;
Glad you found your love Anne, i was wondering how you would make it in this life without it.
[The shrink:] Did you write your feelings to Burt?
Dying
What's not okay about dying? You close your eyes every night, and you go to sleep. People look forward to it; some people actually prefer that part. And that's as bad as it gets, except for your belief that says there's something else. Before a thought, there's no one, nothing-only peace that doesn't even recognize itself as peace.
What I know about dying is that when there's no escape, when you know that no one is coming to save you, there's no fear. You just don't bother. The worst thing that can happen on your deathbed is a belief. Nothing worse than that has ever happened. So if you are lying on your deathbed and the doctor says it's all over for you and you believe him, all the confusion stops. You no longer have anything to lose. And in that peace, there is only you.
People who know that there's no hope are free; decisions are out of their hands. It has always been that way, but some people have to die bodily to find out. No wonder they smile on their deathbeds. Dying is everything they were looking for in life: they've given up the delusion of being in charge. When there's no choice, there's no fear. They begin to realize that nothing was ever born but a dream and nothing ever dies but a dream.
When you're clear about death, you can be totally present with someone who's dying, and no matter what kind of pain she appears to be experiencing, it doesn't affect your happiness. You're free to just love her, to hold her and care for her, because it's your nature to do that. To go to that person in fear is to teach fear: she looks into your eyes and gets the message that she is in deep trouble. But if you come in peace, fearlessly, she looks into your eyes and sees that whatever is happening is good.
Dying is just like living. It has its own way, and you can't control it. People think, "I want to be conscious when I die." That's hopeless. Even wanting to be conscious ten minutes from now is hopeless. You can only be conscious now. Everything you want is here in this moment.

Bob Cesca: A man, like so many these days, who is not afraid to call it as he sees it:
"From the very beginning -- back when our torture chambers still had that new torture chamber smell; and before our chief executive's incompetence exploded like an M80 inside the clenched-fist of the world -- George W. Bush has been an embarrassment.
We know his disgraceful deeds and policies. But it's his utter lack of quality; his unsubstantial presence; his marble-mouthed oratorical retardation; his inability to inspire greatness; and his empty-suit absence of intellectual curiosity which preordained him to be the worst President of the United States in modern history.
We seem to experience this routine with almost every two-term president. But President Bush was never a hero in the first place and only grew more ridiculous with each subsequent crime against the Constitution, against human decency and against democracy itself.
If there's any justice left in this nation, history will record that President Bush was an entirely inadequate tool; a bungling villain whose early popularity grew out of a traumatic and patriotic need to support the office regardless of who occupied it."
Bob Cesca.
Well said, Bob!
About the notion that science knows everything.
Carl Sagan and Ann Dryan:
“What we are about to say draws on the finding of many sciences. We urge the reader to bear in mind the imperfection of our current knowledge. Science is never finished. It proceeds by successive approximations, edging closer and closer to a complete and accurate understanding of nature, but it is never really there.
From the fact that so many mayor discoveries have been made in the century - or even the last decade – it is clear that we still have a long way to go. Science is always subject to debate, correction, refinement agonizing reappraisals, and revolutionary insights.
Nevertheless, there now seems to be enough known to reconstruct some of the key steps that led to us and helped to make who we are.”
Too bad so many people chose religion over science!

Hi Dara,
I replied to you in the "Purple" thread :)
Mieke
goodSaturdayeveryone,
Haven't had a chance to visit IB for a couple of days but today I have a few minutes to browse and looked through the blogs by different folk and didn't feel like making a comment on any of them so here I am at OT. hmmmm.. what to write about...
Today I got an e-mail from an extended family member whose grandson is dying of brain cancer and this cancer has been having it's way with this very young boy for a few years now and it is getting closer and closer to taking his life, this may very well be his last Christmas. It is hard to get her updates on her grandson's condition and treatments but it is nothing compared to what she and her daughter and their family are experiencing watching their beloved child's journey through terminal brain cancer.
Today I wrote back to her that I have no words for what I feel for them.. that I can only bow to their strength, courage, and steadfastness in climbing that treacherous and dangerous mountain without any climbing gear and no previous mountain climbing experience.. going on and on because there is no other way to go...I said I know they would much rather have their boy healthy and robust than be the Heros that they are but that is what they are and all parents and grandparents or siblings who have to deal with the terminal illness of a child, especially.
Scotty is his name.
ruth (the orig)
goodsaturday everyone,
hmmm.wrote a comment earlier and it was held up by the whatever holds up comments...it was about a grandma I know whose grandchild is dealing with terminal brain cancer....wonder why it was held..hmmm.a bit annoying.
anyway...to make a long story short...his name is Scotty and this may very well be his last Christmas with his family...Scotty is eleven. His family has been on this cancer journey for about 3 or four years now....the end is near they have been climbing the mountain one step at a time face to face with cancer never turning away, not for a minute, smiling when Scotty smiled and breaking hearts when Scotty was and is to weak to smile...true heros are the parents and grandparents and brothers and sisters of children stricken with a terminal illnes..
a bow...to all...in respect to your difficult journeys....amen.

This morning I awoke with a clear view of the night sky.
No magical flying reindeer as of yet, but I remain hopeful.
The Harvard-Smithsonian "Center for Astrophysics" is where I learn what's what up yonder.
Mars is a day away from reaching opposition, according to these experts.
Perhaps that explains the action-packed scene of Store Wars
in which I found myself last night, whilst cruising through Wally World.(WalMart)
Guitar Heroes(game) was my mission, and I must say,
the endeavor was more than successful, and I got more than I asked for.
Lights! Action! And yes, digital cameras were fully disclosed
as I felt the heat rising under an unneeded winter coat.
As I was browsing and dodging people of all races...
glancing at gadgets and prancing past toys of all kinds,
I came to find that my mood had changed from whence I started.
Eager and detour minded in the beginning,
I was quite suddenly taken aback at the breadth
and depth of Creation's Kaleidoscopic Conundrum.
The North Pole is in opposition to the South Pole. The earth is bi-polar and clean-spun dizzy.
How it ever came to this(?)is a question we all come to ask of ourselves eventually.
Driving home on the eve of the Winter Solstice,
I saw a white fireball streaking down my windshield.
Fair and legal was this magical moment...
the Ursid Meteors were peaking down at me.
Don'tcha just love this time of year?
Go ahead!
Count the reasons...and please...be generous with the rations.
Ho! Ho! Ho! I'll continue to count my blessings in good stead.

The torture tape fingering Bush as a war criminal
"Any reasonable person examining all the evidence we have - without any bias - would conclude that the overwhelming likelihood is that the president of the United States authorised illegal torture of a prisoner and that the evidence of the crime was subsequently illegally destroyed.
Congresswoman Jane Harman, the respected top Democrat on the House intelligence committee in 2003-06, put it as simply as she could: “I am worried. It smells like the cover-up of the cover-up.”
It’s a potential Watergate. But this time the crime is not a two-bit domestic burglary. It’s a war crime that reaches into the very heart of the Oval Office.
Yes, it is Hollywood time. And the ending of this movie is as yet unwritten."

CIA chief to drag White House into torture cover-up storm
Sarah Baxter
"THE CIA chief who ordered the destruction of secret videotapes recording the harsh interrogation of two top Al-Qaeda suspects has indicated he may seek immunity from prosecution in exchange for testifying before the House intelligence committee.
Jose Rodriguez, former head of the CIA's clandestine service, is determined not to become the fall guy in the controversy over the CIA's use of torture, according to intelligence sources."

The US Constitution does not specifically cite “Separation of Church and State”, but it is an unwritten rule that the two shall be so. The current occupant of the Citizen House begs to differ:
The following Christmas message by Crazident Mush has been released by the Citizen House:
But the angel said to her, 'Do not be afraid, Mary, you have found favor with God. You will be with child and give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High...his kingdom will never end.'" (Luke 1:30-33)
During the Christmas season, our thoughts turn to the source of joy and hope born in a humble manger on a holy night more than 2,000 years ago. Each year, Christians everywhere celebrate this single life that changed the world and continues to change hearts today. The simple and inspiring story of the birth of Jesus fills our souls with gratitude for the many blessings in our lives and promises that God's purpose is justice and His plan is peace.
At this special time of year, we give thanks for Christ's message of love and mercy, and we are reminded of our responsibility to serve. America is blessed to have fine citizens who reach out with a compassionate hand to help brothers and sisters in need. We also remember our brave men and women in uniform who have volunteered to defend us in distant lands.
Many of those who have answered the call of duty will spend Christmas far from home and separated from family. We honor their sacrifice, ask God to watch over them and their families, and pray for their safe return.
Christmas is a time to rejoice and remember the birth of Jesus Christ. Lovey and I pray your Christmas will be blessed with family and fellowship, and we wish you a day of glad tidings. Merry Christmas.

Honor the Earth is currently soliciting proposals for funding from Native-led organizations for the following types of work:
Environmental & Energy Justice
Native lands are disproportionately targeted for resource extraction, energy development, and dumping of hazardous waste. Our communities suffer from the toxic effects of coal-fired power plants, uranium mining, oil drilling, and nuclear waste just to name a few. At the same time, Native lands hold vast amounts of renewable energy potential such as solar and wind that provide cleaner, healthier energy to the community. Honor the Earth supports efforts to protect against environmental threats and to create solutions for a just future.
Building Sustainable Communities
Honor the Earth supports Native grassroots groups and organizations developing innovative Native community-based initiatives that build and maintain healthy and sustaining Native communities that integrate Indigenous traditional knowledge and language. With respect for the wisdom of our elders and with regard for future generations, we support activities that assist in the preservation of Native lifeways, preserve Indigenous languages and traditional knowledge, foster youth development and participation, maintain traditional foods systems, protect environmental and natural resources, and activities that work toward the decolonization of our communities.
Youth
Native youth are the center of the continuity of Native America, and are the leaders and elders of the future. They are also the descendants of our communities and, as a consequence, the collective experience of Native America. We are committed to investing in youth and support initiatives that educate, empower, and build the capacity of youth in Indigenous communities. We seek to help develop the next generation of rural-and reservation-based Native American youth leaders who will become a major factor in safeguarding the health of our peoples and our environment through awareness, activism, advocacy and organizing. In our effort to encourage youth leadership development and youth-directed initiatives, Honor the Earth is particularly interested in supporting initiatives that are developed and led by Native youth
Grants range from $1,000- $5,000. Proposals are due January 15th, 2007. Please see our website for a full explanation of the application procedures:

Religion is the fraud o the ages.
Tomorrow (December 25th) marks the virginal birth of numerous mythological figures in history. For example, Horus of Egypt (3000 BC), Attis of Phrygia, Greece, (1200BC) Mithra of Persia, (1200BC) Dionysus of Greece (500BC) and Jesus of Bethlehem, 2,037 years ago.
But why the celebration of Jesus and not the others? In short, Emperor Constantine of Rome played a major role in it when he sanctioned the Christian cult (myth) after the Council of Nicaea in 325 A.D. He believed that Christianity would bring him good luck over his reign.
The story of Jesus is based entirely on ancient mythology; not reality. It is about the worship of the Sun god (Horus). It centers on the rebirth of the Sun each year at the winter solstice, in the Northern Hemisphere.
The Sun is at its lowest point on the horizon on Dec 21/22. It remains (perceivably) stationary till Dec 24th. Then on December 25th, something magical happens, it rises 1 degree on the northern horizon and continues to gain over its opposite Seth or Set (Night) until the Spring Equinox when they celebrate Easter, after light finally conquers dark.
As the myth goes, every morning Horus (Jesus) would conquer Set (the Devil). Conversely, every evening, Set would conquer Horus and send him in the underworld.
Horus was born of the Virgin (Isis) Mary, on December 25th. During his life, he performed miracles, was known as the Lamb of God and the light of the world, the King of kings, etc. He also walked on water, turned water into wine and raised the dead.
He was betrayed by one of disciples and executed, placed in a tomb and three days later resurrected. Christianity is an explicit plagiarization of the ancient Egyptian religion.
Happy birthday, Horus (Jesus). To the delusional and the ignorant of this world, may light fall upon your enquiry (perhaps empty) minds as you merrily indulge in your wry smugness this Family Season. May peace and common sense be with you for the rest of your precious limited time in the cosmos!
Lakota Sioux - The Bravest Americans
These folks have put it on the line for their principals. That makes them HEROES. They always have been brave people....look what they passed through to get to this moment.
I see them as more than just brave. This act will have many negative repercussions for them, a fact I am sure they are WELL aware of. They are going to be squeezed by this Administration who does not care one lick about people. They are going to be squeezes by South Dakota, a state that still hates them. The IRS is going to come down on them, and I am certain all the federal moneys going there will stop. and most of all, th FBI, who STILL haunts them over the killing of those FBI agents, are going to declare open season on them.
They know all this. Still, they are standing up.
It is one of the bravest things I have seen in my lifetime.

Lakota Sioux - The Bravest Americans
Sat, December 22, 2007 - 10:00 AM
And So It Begins
In an incredible irony, the very people that the United States have most oppressed throughout our history may hold the key to freedom for all of us.
...
That moment has come. In September of this year, the United Nations passed a non-binding Resolution on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples. Naturally, Canada, the United States and Australia refused to sign, but this resolution paved the way for a move that has been waiting in the wings, so to speak, since the 1970s.
On Wednesday of this week, Russell Means led a delegation of the Lakota Sioux people to the U.S. State Department and the embassies of Bolivia, Chile, South Africa and Venezuela, declaring their secession from the United States of America.
Means stated, "We are no longer citizens of the United States of America and all those who live in the five-state area that encompasses our country are free to join us." The lands of the Lakota Sioux encompass portions of Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming and Montana. In the coming weeks, they will take their diplomatic mission overseas to seek further support.
Means also stated that anyone willing to renounce their U.S. citizenship would live on Lakota land tax free, and that the Lakota would issue their own passports and driving licenses. Since a large group of libertarians have recently moved to Wyoming, this opens up some interesting possibilities for a free society growing up in our midst.
The coming road will not be an easy one. I cannot see the U.S. neo-conservatives leaving this alone. I imagine that there will be another bloody and vicious siege taking place on Lakota land, but I also believe that Means has timed his move correctly. If this happens as I fear it will, the neo-conservatives will be the clear authors of their own destruction. The American people have had enough!
http://eeng.net/CS/blogs/smileycoyote/archive/2007/12/24/1042.aspx
You go, Russell!! You are the bravest and best of us, and the sanest and best of America stands with you in the trials you will face over the coming months and years.
BUSH: FUNNY GUY!!! TAKING A TRIP TO RESTORE U.S. IMAGE!!!!
No, this is not MY joke, I am just NOT that funny!

Dec. 24 (Bloomberg) -- President George W. Bush's diplomatic passport will acquire a slew of new country stamps during his final year in office as he tries to rebuild the U.S.'s international standing and create a foreign-policy legacy beyond Iraq.

Merry Christmas. Take A Minute From The Presents and Watch This Plea
Sure I know, it is Christmas Day. But we are Americans aren't we?
Take a minute to watch this video. Think about the men we have in Iraq. It is Christmas there, too.
Think about Fallujah. It is the city that suffered the same treatment from us that Warsaw suffered from the Nazis.
I am grateful for the warm home I am sitting in, the good meal I will have today, the freedom I still have.
And I regret what these people do not have because we did not stop Bushco.
Merry Christmas. Peace on Earth, Goodwill to Men.

Fear of subpoenas 'crippling' the White House?
"As she departs the White House, and steps down as Bush's chief terrorism adviser, Frances Fragos Townsend stopped to tell the NYT how disappointed she is with the political climate in DC."
[...]
"But Frances Fragos Townsend thinks it's "offensive and crippling" for Congress to expect the White House to explain matters such as the politicization of the Justice Department and the destruction of CIA evidence of torture.
It's as if lawmakers have it in their heads that Congress is a co-equal branch of government with oversight responsibilities. The nerve."

On Christmas 1783, Washington gave the nation a gift.
CHRISTMAS PAST
Washington's Gift
Our revolution could have ended in despotism, like so many others.
BY THOMAS FLEMING
Tuesday, December 25, 2007 12:01 a.m.
There is a Christmas story at the birth of this country that very few Americans know. It involves a single act by George Washington--his refusal to take absolute power--that affirms our own deepest beliefs about self-government, and still has profound meaning in today's world. To appreciate its significance, however, we must revisit a dark period at the end of America's eight-year struggle for independence.
The story begins with Gen. Washington's arrival in Annapolis, Md., on Dec. 19, 1783.
[...]
This was--is--the most important moment in American history.
The man who could have dispersed this feckless Congress and obtained for himself and his soldiers rewards worthy of their courage was renouncing absolute power. By this visible, incontrovertible act, Washington did more to affirm America's government of the people than a thousand declarations by legislatures and treatises by philosophers.
Thomas Jefferson, author of the greatest of these declarations, witnessed this drama as a delegate from Virginia. Intuitively, he understood its historic dimension. "The moderation. . . . of a single character," he later wrote, "probably prevented this revolution from being closed, as most others have been, by a subversion of that liberty it was intended to establish."
In Europe, Washington's resignation restored America's battered prestige. It was reported with awe and amazement in newspapers from London to Vienna. The Connecticut painter John Trumbull, studying in England, wrote that it had earned the "astonishment and admiration of this part of the world."

EXCELLENT Video
EXCELLENT commentary
EXCELLENT explanation of a big part of what is happening in the USA and as such, in Iraq.
Hi John,
You seem to be posting a lot. At first it looked like typical spam but then came posts #55 and #63 about the Native Indian Tribes, and the news that one of my newer heroes Russell Means was proposing that the tribes declare their secession from the United States of America. This is a move I whole heartily support! Thanks for bringing it to my attention.
Those of you, who know me, have read some of my posts here supporting the Native Tribes. I complained about how American history books are empty when it comes to a real accurate account of the way the U.S. Government and the U.S. Army treated the Native Tribes. "Racial cleansing" was the order of the day in America, during the 18th and early 19th.Century. The atrocities were grievous and many, from the smallpox infected blankets given by the British, to the coalition of Pontiac, to the wholesale slaughter of the buffalo by the U.S. Army, designed to starve the Tribes.
American history is stained with the blood of the Native inhabitants, from the Cherokee, Creek and Choctaw’s “Trail of Tears”, to the killings of the Sioux at “Wounded Knee.
U.S. History also fails to give the Iroquois League the credit for much of our Constitution and rules of behaviour in the Senate.
I made a proposal here a year or so ago which bears repeating.
As a first step for the US Government in attempting to atone for their crimes against the Native Tribes, I proposed a .50 cent tax on ever acre of land in America that does not now belong to the Tribes. Since there are over two trillion acres of land in the Continental United States, this would raise One Trillion Dollars to be placed in an interest bearing trust fund for the development and use by the Native Tribes. This trust fund could remain a much needed asset of the United States Government, but all interest earned would be given to the tribes for the next 50 years. This would generate Billions of Dollars which could be use in a wide variety of ways to help the Tribes regain some of their lost heritage due in part to broken treaties, and stolen lands. Some of their sacred places and even some of their ancestral burial grounds might be repurchased from their current owners. This is an Honourable proposal which speaks to resolving a very black karmic stain upon the collective consciousness of the American people.
I am sending this proposal to every member of Congress, and I hope everyone else will do the same.
Kind Regards,
Stan
Thank you kindly for your holiday wishes dear Ron and everyone else! May you and your loved ones have a bright and joyful holiday and year ahead!
Stan,
that sounds like a very reasonable idea. Do you know about the www.care2.com site? They have over 8 million members and a very active petition section where such a proposal would surely gather lots of signatures...
Also, maybe you know about the new Lakota website at www.lakotafreedom.com . Best holiday wishes to you and family Stan!
Hi Aurora,
Thanks for those web sites. All the best wishes back to you and your family for the coming New Year.
Kindest Regards,
Stan

Is astrology a science? Can the stars foretell our future? Recently a friend of mine was forced to break up with the girl he loved just months before his marriage because the girl was found to be manglik - a Hindu belief relating to the planet Mars which predicts the premature death or extreme hardship in marriage of a spouse if Mars is found in a certain position in the horoscope of the other. Can there be any truth to celestial bodies having such influences on our daily lives?
