2o killed, including 11 children have been killed in Sri Lanka and here are three media groups reporting it.
Tamil net- A pro Tigers news site
Tamil net has access to the Tigers and gives the most detailed information, especially when the suspicion is on the Government troops. You can see images, names of the victims and detailed updates. Validity of the reports can never be confirmed from neutral sources. Look at how elaborate the story is.
BBC- A neutral website
BBC makes an attempt to cover news with factual reports with its own source and other sources.
GOSL- Government of Sri Lanka-
There is no news of this incident or other events where Tamil civilians were killed. Wonder why they are trying to hide the story. Imagine a government that censures its own media page and does not report civilians deaths by its own air force.
update: The government has finally come with a story denying its hand, like always before.

Hi Vijay,
I was in Sri Lanka for 2 months last year and it was truly an eye-opening experience for me. I didn't quite understand it until I was there and had time to read through both side's websites. You are right, the versions of the same story gets twisted according to who's telling it. It's truly a sad situation when human beings are at war, and over what...nothing worth a single person's life.
Babel, it is the case not just in Sri Lanka but everywhere. What is starkling is the fact how innocent people's lives are pawned in the battle of egos between armed groups.

Vijay,
Thanks for sharing what you care
Vijay,
Thanks for sharing what you care deeply about. Thanks for being a voice for a part of the world that I do not know. Through you I can learn of its pain and hopefully, joy.
In my daily life I'm making an effort to say one positive comment for every negative one I make. Could the media do the same?
It's like a bank account...an investment of energy. Negative news takes away from the investment; positive news adds to it. What would "balance" look like? Can we tip the scale of violence and hatred with investing in peace and love?
Trish~~
