Life and death, natures way

Vijay Sappani - February 28, 2008

Do you believe in God?

In the online version of The Star, the story of the birth of this incredible child was next to the sad story of the death of this man.

I read one after the other and makes me wonder if there is a force above us...something divine that makes the decisions of life and death.

When I was young,
I lived life as if
there were no tomorrow.

Now that I am older,
wiser and more experienced,
I live and work for two times:
this very day and yonder tomorrow.

Right now, I believe
that when I die...
I will die as if
there were no other--period.

We are in training. Don't we all drop onto the train tracks? That others care unconditionally means we survive. Unconditionality is our birthright.

Stepping down into conditionality is called growing up. Dying on those steps is a step too far, a condition too far. Unconditionality zaps back.

'God' is left-handed when it comes to our rights.

Dear Vijay,

It is generally predetermined by your DNA and choices in life. We all want to be watched over by some invisible guide or angel that we can call upon during our personal needs, but I’m sorry to say that is just our ego that thinks this. We are on our own in manifestation and must except the fact that no one is deciding for us or guiding us, but our own concepts (beliefs) and conditioning. Again the ego wants more out of life than this bleak outcome, and searches desperately for concepts that support their ego’s agenda. Being special is way out of facing the harsh facts that are staring at us every day in the world. If your mind is stable and sharp it will avoid situations that might prove to be dangerous. But desires and fears can force one to make the wrong decision by reacting from emotions rather than clarifying the situation. It’s that stealthy ego that wants to believe that God is watching their daily and petty escapades when trillions upon trillions of life forms across the universe die each second. You make the decisions in your life and you must suffer or prosper accordingly to your decisions. The record of everything you did, think, or say is imprinted in your mind, and the mind will have the final say on how long your journey lasts beyond death. There is no need for an outside force to monitor you for your own mind will indicted you out of guilt and hand down your sentence. Since it knows your life history inside and out, whom else is needed? The mind is the perpetrator, the police, the arrest, the judge, the jury, the verdict, the jail, the warden and the inmates. Do you really want more to contend with than that? Kurt

P.S.
One more thing, If you are Self-Realized the ego is no longer the guiding force, it is your new but old Absolute Awareness of the situation the decides. Now death is not feared or is a determining factor, and the big picture is more important than that. Any Enlightened being will gladly lay down their life for a very important cause like that. Kurt

Hello Vijay and Everyone,

There are moments when I can sit within the stillness and center my attention on no-thing inparticular and ruth will disappear and all that is left is god...just like in that most popular saying...Be still and know that I AM god, and then all the questions as to whether "a god, a divine force" is making all the decisions becomes completely unimportant, it matters not, it is a wonderful "come what may" attitude. Then the phone will ring and my daughter wants to know if I have that particular recipe she NEEDS right NOW.

have a wonderful day ruth

Hi Ruth, wonderful :)

Some recognizing from this side, lol

Hi Vijay,
There is a force - energy -
it's part of life,
Nature and creation
are teeming with it.

Living life with its duality
birth and death
and everything in between

embracing it all
saying Yes to it all

takes ...
courage
faith

awareness

Love

hi Keith, Edmund, KAN, Ruth & Mieke!

The earth and the biosphere are a fractal within every cell in the homeless man’s body, the mother’s body and the baby’s body. In our body there are 50 trillion cells. We are all a fractal of involution. Nirvana is timeless. It is a ocean filled with Genesis’s. The body is imagination and imagination is God’s eternal body of imagination. God always meets us wherever we go. How can you throw God/imagination out?:) love patty

I believe in God as well as the Holy Spirit (God & Jesus Christ) that indwells within us, so that we are never alone and have a Comfortable in time of need. And I hear Spirit's loving voice, when I listen as I pray and read the Bible, as well as hearing the Holy Angels playing heavenly music and singing beautiful songs about God all day and all night long, as they never stop. I've had this experience many times in the last 5 1/2 years. God is full of love and can fill us up if we need to be fed. For me personally, I pray to my Lord in the name of Jesus Christ, and ask for the Comforter, which I am given. It is the promise as stated in the Holy Bible.

Also, I believe in Holy Angels and I've seen one only once. They are as real and solid as we are, but our eyes are veiled by God, so that we cannot see them, as the Bible states. I also believe that Holy Angels have to have a place to live as we do, so their abode is Heaven, as we have Earth. I'm not talking about the "Kingdom of Heaven" that can be found within all of us, but a real home for higher spiritual beings.

Love, Char

Ayaan Hirsi Ali, the Somali-born Dutch activist facing death threats for her outspoken criticism of Islam, is to come under national police protection anywhere in the European Union, the top justice official in Brussels said tonight.

Franco Frattini, the European commissioner for justice and home affairs, told the Guardian that Hirsi Ali and any other persons facing threats to their lives because of their opinions or writings, would be guaranteed protection wherever they went in Europe and that the host country would bear the expense.

Vijay,

I could relate better if your word "believe" was changed to "feel" or "know" God. For me the word "believe" is a mental angle and approach. One can believe in God mentally but only until one can feel God experientially can one know God.

We have words that we have used forever. Words that need re-viewing. What do you think? What would be a word that contains believing, feeling, knowing? Maybe one of those "omni" words. Now what does "omni" mean? So many questions.

Trish~~

Hi Vijay,
Being extremely open-minded, I have tended to ponder this question. Of course, we have to believe in something right? But should we take someone's word for it and close the book. There must be a greater presence that we can pray to and try to understand why things are as they are. As I see and hear more negativity in the world...it can make it hard to believe that God would allow this.
