it's time to turn off the lights the party is over for billary...go obama! baby! over-the-hillary is toast! she is baked like old cow manure! and where is granny? she's not chrpin' these days!
The Winds of March are approaching
and I am heading back under-cover
To the Land of Nowhere In Particular
At a time that would be best spent
above wraps and in the light of day.
.
You have a nice week, too, North!
.
Same goes for all above and all below.
Watching the MSNBC debate, HC is the stronger person, the less bs-y person, the one who knows the facts, the one with the passion to make things work (not to win win win). BO is inexperienced, wordy, smooth, insubstantial. But he's a great speaker, and it's easy to miss those points because of his skill with his mouth.
If HC were a man with exactly the same positions, attitude and approach she has now, she'd be beating BO big-time.
So the only thing she has to do now is change her strategy, step into the unknown, trust herself completely and be prepared for anything.
In other words, take minimum action with maximum power and energy :)
Love, Mieke
If my mother had a dick, if she did not marry her husband...stop this argument, will ya?
If HC played like a man, she wouldn't be getting her women vote, which is keeping her just about alive.
This argument is Universal and at the moment it is the subject of all the equations in science:
SPECIAL RELATIVITY IN ONE STATEMENT: “There is a maximum energy speed in nature”
QUANTUM THEORY IN ONE STATEMENT: “There is a minimum action in nature”
GENERAL RELATIVITY IN ONE STATEMENT: “There is a maximum force or power in nature”
Derived from: Motionmountain, 21st edition, pages 1349 – 1351

Mieke
If all the Democratic contenders were white women, they would have easily beaten HC big time exactly because of the positions, experience, associations, actions, attitudes and behavior.
did you see the debate, IW? if not it's here:
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/23363410/
the debate itself is pretty substantive evidence that what I contend is true.
why do you come back with insulting comments, and tell me to shut up? are you having a hard time with what I'm saying? are you worried I'm right?
And if all the women in the world take this powerful message into their mind right now, the next president of the United States will be a woman after all!!
Let us meditate on this. Nothing is impossible in the Universal conciousness :)
Mieke
yes, Mieke, I think your advice to her in #6 is excellent.
HC chose to use the history making nature of a "woman" president as the central point of her campaign theme, that tells something about her 'innate' attitude and her approach, whether she is a man, or woman which is immaterial. Her attitude and approach through out this campaign is not desirable or rather even more undesirable in a male candidate. PERIOD
Hi Heather,
Well, let's make this into a mantra and meditate :)
Mieke
the SNL parody of the press's different treatments of BO and HC...
http://www.nbc.com/Saturday_Night_Live/video/#cat=new&sec=1a&mea=221776
that in-love aspect -- hehehe -- pretty funny :)
I thing you are living in your own reality. Not many think the way you think. Of course the ardent Hillary supporters will see anything as a positive, the same with BO supporters. But that's not objectivity. Majority of Independents for ex. see it as a clear victory to BO in the debate.
I saw the debate Live. And that was a pretty poor performance by Hillary Clinton. She played victim with a pre-planned strategy and lines which back fired. Obama could have taken the jugular and shut her out, but he was wise to counter punch and not come across as a bully.
You can find whatever evidence to convince your closely held notions.
IW, Chris, hisullokige, is / are you (a) paid shill/s for BO? When you can't come back with real arguments, you get dismissive (and sometimes insulting), taking a page directly from the old right-wing book of how to comment in the blogosphere.
Hey Mieke, let HC just realize the advice you give in #6 is superb, and no meditation or mantra will be required. She'd previously been pulling her punches, not wanting to be labeled a strident b---, but she doesn't have a b---y bone in her body, only powerful ones, so she doesn't need to fear. At the end of the MSNBC debate, even the news commentators conceded the HC's strengths in the debate. Let's hope she keeps it up because she can seriously k-a when she's rolling.
love, h
All is fair in Love and Politics they say. The real reason for Hillary poor performance is not the press bias, or BO charisma but their poorly planned campaign and her positions, attitudes and behavior. she is the only one to be blamed. Stop whining and looking for blame elsewhere.
Playing the victim card is a strategy to churn up women vote, and it is unfortunate that many low info voters might buy into this. But I think many have gotten used to this and may not be a big factor on March 4. The only people who will be really convinced are those who are already in the Hill camp. Not a good idea to get the undecideds.
it was a great performance by HC, and a weak one by BO. oh, I forgot, you're one of those who's in love with BO. sorry, didn't mean to tread on your overly-emotional toes, IW.
"IW, Chris, hisullokige, is / are you (a) paid shill/s for BO? When you can't come back with real arguments, you get dismissive (and sometimes insulting), taking a page directly from the old right-wing book of how to comment in the blogosphere."
Now that's a real argument!
May be you should join Mark Penn, Wolfson and Co.
Hillary's Ignominious Finale
All in all, it was a rather ignominious, belittling way to almost certainly close out the Clinton Era. Hillary would have done much better to spend the 90 minutes of Tuesday night's Ohio debate by repeatedly reading and re-reading her valedictory, closing remarks from last week's Texas match-up during which -- for a few shining moments -- a Good Hillary seemed to radiate with the grandeur of an honored First Lady and potential president of the United States.
But with her national poll numbers now slipping into a double digit lag behind Obama, with her last-ditch firewalls in Ohio and Texas rapidly crumbling, her political future quickly eroding, it was the Bad Hillary who dominated in what could very well be the final presidential debate of the season.
Thirty-five years of selfless public service, if we are to believe her campaign rhetoric, deserved more than this tin-pan finale. Clinton, in her best moments, is certainly capable of something more than a torrent of peevish, petty, picayune, and intellectually dishonest bickering and parsing.
Instead, Senator Clinton chose to remind us why she is losing the nomination that she was once so very sure would inevitably be hers. The smell of a loser permeated the entire low-energy event as Clinton tried to pick apart this or that phrase uttered one time or another by her rival.
Obama's been on a wild tear, continuing to surge and streak and -- to dip into the conventional wisdom -- it's hard to see anything that Clinton did Tuesday to stem his rising tide.
You'd think that Clinton could leave the national political stage with some larger, meaningful gesture. But, unfortunately, the only memorable line that she spoke tonight was a poorly constructed joke, surely written by a staffer.
It's taken me a decade and I'm still stumped trying to figure out what the meaning of "is" might really be. And yet Hillary tossed us the latest Clintonesque head-scratcher during the debate when she asked me -- and the millions watching -- to ponder the "difference between denouncing and rejecting."
I'm not sure which one of these acts of contrition her rival Barack Obama engaged in when asked by the moderators his view on the Reverend Louis Farrakhan. But whichever one it was, it was apparently the wrong one -- according to Senator Clinton.
Likewise, when it came to universal health care. Though Obama has adamantly campaigned on that promise from his first day on the stump, he was actually opposed to universal health care. At least, according to Hillary who belabored the point (to not say she beat it to death) for the first, torturous sixteen minutes of the debate.
And after repeatedly ignoring pleas from moderator Brian Williams to curtail her health care harangue, after extending and re-extending her remarks, Clinton then portrayed herself as a hapless victim of media bias by comparing Williams' questioning to a satirical sketch that aired over the weekend. "Well, could I just point out that in the last several debates, I seem to get the first question all the time? And I don't mind," she said with a grimace. "You know, I'll be happy to field them but I do find it curious. And if anybody saw Saturday Night Live, maybe we should ask Barack if he's comfortable and needs another pillow."
Rimshot!
Or was that a car crash?
Either way, time to bring in the mop-up crews. It's over.

Ah, IW, when I tease you. you chastise me, then you cut-and-paste others' words.
Still no real arguments, only dismissiveness, insults and cut-and-paste. No mind of your own?
I have no emotional bias towards either candidate. I feel the emotional response in myself to BO -- he is very convincing at the emotional level. I could dissect his mannerisms and style to show you how he tears down HC without specific words, and people respond to it. He's like a high school clique leader who manipulates others' support of himself, and lack of support for others, with attitude.
Since I know BO touches me emotionally, I ignore emotional responses in myself towards either candidate, and listen to their words, and see how they're supported by what facts I know. HC was outstanding in that debate, and BO was not. HC can do the job. I don't believe BO can do even half of what he's promising. He's weak in foreign affairs, he's weak in the complexities of the biggest issues, in other words, he's not prepared for the toughest issues he'd have to face if elected.
I challenge you to watch the debate again, this time with an open mind, being aware of your emotional response to BO.
Of course, you're not going to do that, citing amongst other things that you've seen it already, you don't have time to waste etc. But the real issue will be that you're scared you might find I'm right.
Hi Heather,
Well, it is the only way i can back her up as i am not in a position to vote :)
I must admit that I admire Barack Obama (and his wife) tremendously.
Both Barack AND Hillary should be chosen and the word Vice-president should be banished :)
Well, dreaming on lol
Love to you,
Mieke
"I challenge you to watch the debate again, this time with an open mind, being aware of your emotional response to BO."
See...I have seen this twice in full and several bits on youtube multiple times already. I have seen all the debates so far(since the primaries began). According to ME he lost in the past. This was different.
It is after all our individual interpretation. Whatever we might think it is after all subjective. I appreciate your opinion. Just understand that others have their own opinion and they are equally confident like you that they are not reacting emotionally but they are being objective. The only thing that matters in a debate is who "performed" well to convince their audience. The majority seem to thin that it was BO's bets performance an Hillary's worst so far. Who won? Take a poll, ask others. The problem is both candidates know, what winning is, to convince the majority of audiences with their approach, positions and attitudes. SO I will leave it at that.
PS: I know you really believe that Hillary did great. You wish to let me to see what you see. But I am sure you are mature enough to not feel the need to convince others about your opinions. I sense the earnestness. I had similar feelings many times, but I grown wiser to appreciate that there is more to this this whole process than feeling right about one;s own perceptions.
Talking of cut-and-pasting I might post something if some one says something in a better way than I could, or if I feel the need to post data, news, views and opinions which could help inform and widen our perspectives.
#3 thanks Keith, u2
I can hardly wait until this election is overwith! It's been months of talking, months of debating, with 6-7 more months to election yet!
Will we survive the gauntlet of adverse perceptions?
We had our Canadian Budget disclosed yesterday. Once again, the poor get nothing!! : (
I suppose, politicians don't worry about the poor, because they are not poor. They do not know what it is like to be poor. They have never been poor. Not one of them!! Not one.... yet, they decide how much we, the poor, elderly and disabled get to live on each year? sigggh
I survived on barely twelve-thousand dollars last year!! six-thousand of that, went to rent alone!! I am grateful, for having the disability income; but, still wonder why the value of our lives are so cheap??
North
thank you, IW, for your kind, wise thoughts in #26.
it's my opinion that unless we express ourselves directly, our thoughts may be more shallow than we realize. I take my agreeing with someone else's opinions as a point of departure and a challenge, for myself, and try to develop my own stance, or at lest tell why I agree. in doing so, I often surprise myself and realize my basis for agreeing was something other than what I originally thought it was. sometimes I'll paste, usually only a snippet. I often give links, so people can read others' work for themselves wherever it was originally published.
dear Mieke, yes, yes. :)

Who won the debate? Lets see:
TIME (Joe Klein): He won. He not only won by not losing, but he also won on points--and on demeanor, and on quickness…
http://www.time-blog.com/swampland/2008/02/the_democratic_debate_1.html
Time (Jay Carney): Hillary Clinton missed some opportunities tonight. Her complaint at the beginning about the format of the debate seemed to fall flat.
http://www.time-blog.com/swampland/2008/02/hillarys_missed_opps.html
TIME (Mark Halperin) …Obama: B+, Clinton: B- “Avoided lofty rhetoric and focused on presenting himself as cool, deliberative, and substantive. Well prepared and focused.”
http://thepage.time.com/2008/02/26/who-is-the-frontrunner/
(On Clinton: “Her conviction that the media is biased against her seemed to throw her off throughout, and she was too distracted by her frustration with Obama and the press to truly shine.”)
did you get the point of the SNL parody (#16 above)?
NBC (Mark Murray): … Obama has an excellent command of his plan and his defense.
MSNBC (David Gregory): …What you see time and time again with Barack Obama is a coolness about him. He absorbs a particular attack or a question or a pointed statement and tries to maybe acknowledge the point and then turn it around.
http://firstread.msnbc.msn.com/archive/2008/02/26/704324.aspx
"that in-love aspect -- hehehe -- pretty funny :)"
Another "joke" that falls flat. When will Hillary learn that at best, she sounds lame, and at worst, snarky?
This is a debate, it's not his fault even if the media may be biased, stupid one liner.
She got booed twice in two debates. Not good.
BTW If he needs a pillow I will give him one. He probably needs one for the snorefest of her trying to talk herself out of her own comments.
Bottom line: leave the jokes to the comedians.
Washington Post (Chris Cillizza) …Obama successfully parried most of Clinton's offense and even turned some of her aggressiveness against her.
http://blog.washingtonpost.com/thefix/2008/02/its_all_over_first_thoughts.html
AMERICAblog (Joe Sudbay): … Obama was steady on a broad range of issues … In my view, the win goes to Obama. A clean win.
http://www.americablog.com/2008/02/democratic-debate-wrap-up_26.html
The New Republic (Michael Crowley): …Obama is quick on his feet and good humored. He also conveys a certain bemused remove from the bizarre conventions of traditional insider politics

what... did billary find her voice again last nite?
if this woman had any class...she'd do the right thing and step aside now and move on...the country does not need more of the clintons...it's time for them to go away...just like the bushies..
barack will kick her sorry ass next week...and then she'll try to save face and concede...too little too late...
and for those of u who think barack does not have substance...are u for real? what planet are u from dude (ette)?
If he's so great, why the need to link to all those media opinions? Wouldn't it be self-evident if he's that great? Or is it a book he's writing, and you're the blurb editor of the day, for his cover?
Don't you have views of your own, in your own words? Or are you afraid that if you expressed yourself directly, you might find weaknesses in your position?
from the same one as you, Irish, just a wiser, less emotional nabe.
if HC concedes, it won't be to save face, it will be to save energy to fight on, on another day. BO doesn't have half her spirit and insight.
BO talks a very good game, but but but. he doesn't deliver what he promises. he hasn't in the past. he's as much of a politician as any of them. he is not as substantial as you think he is. the very emotionality of your response to him underscores that issue.
when y'all wake up to the fact that he's not the second Christ, the playing field will even out.
will that happen? will it happen in time for HC to have enough days for people to think about what she actually knows and does? it's my hope that the answer is yes.
I am confused with that bizarre reaction...
I expect others to have the wisdom to read or ignore and discern.
Stop reading all movie reviews too. Okay?
More reviews to follows...
Hillary Clinton plays the victim card
Politico
(Yeah...Clinton Campaign quotes Politico...)
By: Roger Simon
Hillary Clinton as the inevitable Democratic nominee didn’t work. Hillary Clinton as the front-runner didn’t work. So how about Hillary Clinton as the victim?
That was her theme at the Democratic debate with Barack Obama in Cleveland Tuesday night.
She complained that she always got the first question. She complained that she wasn’t getting enough time to discuss health care (a discussion that had gone on for 16 minutes, which is several lifetimes in terms of a televised debate).
And, then, demonstrating how presidential campaigns can repeat their mistakes rather than learn from them, she said: “If anybody saw ‘Saturday Night Live,’ maybe we should ask Barack if he’s comfortable and needs another pillow.”
The audience mumbled at this scripted and snarky line, just as an audience booed her in the last debate when she accused Obama of wanting “change you can Xerox.”
Overall, however, victimhood is not a bad theme for Clinton. It seemed to work in New Hampshire, where voters may have believed that a male-dominated media “commentariat” was already counting her out of the race.
And Clinton drove home her point when she defended her recent sharp attacks on Obama by saying, “It is important you stand up for yourself” and “I’m going to stand up for that.”
But it is also possible, especially in a debate, to stand up too far, which Clinton seemed to be doing when she decided to nitpick on whether Barack Obama had said he would merely “reject” anti-Semitic support rather than “denounce” it.
It seemed a somewhat bewildering distinction considering Obama had just pointed out that at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta, “in front of a large African-American audience, I specifically spoke out against anti-Semitism within the African-American community.”
Obama then went on: “But if the word ‘reject’ Senator Clinton feels is stronger than the word ‘denounce,’ then I’m happy to concede the point, and I would reject and denounce.”
“Good, good, excellent,” Clinton said, as if she had just won a blue ribbon.
There was nothing wrong with Obama’s reply, or his whole debate performance, but I am once again left wondering whether he lacks an instinct for the jugular.
As in some past debates, he took every opportunity — including those that did not really present themselves — to heap praise on Clinton, including the assessment that she has campaigned “magnificently.”
Though I suppose if I had won 11 contests in a row, I, too, might think my opponent was magnificent.
While the two wrangled to a draw on the intricacies of their health care plans, when it came to a subject most people can actually understand — releasing tax returns — Clinton knocked a chink in her own stone wall.
While Obama has released his returns, Clinton has refused to do so until she becomes the nominee. But why? She has no real answer and NBC’s Tim Russert hammered her on it.
And she gave a little. “Well, I will do it as others have done it, upon becoming the nominee or even earlier, Tim,” she said.
Russert asked her if she would do it before the four primaries that are being held next Tuesday.
“Well, I can’t get it together by then,” she said, sounding a little flustered. “But I will certainly work to get it together. I’m a little busy right now; I hardly have time to sleep.”
And speaking of the upcoming primaries, Obama did deliver a subtle, but extremely pointed, line.
“There is still a lot of fight going on in this contest,” he said. “We’ve got four coming up and maybe more after that.”
Maybe. Or maybe, if Hillary loses Texas and Ohio, she will have to drop out, considering that Bill Clinton announced the other day that without those two wins she could not get the nomination.
And at the end of the debate, Clinton sounded a somewhat wistful note: “I still intend to do everything I can to win, but it has been an honor, because it has been a campaign that is history making. You know, obviously I am thrilled to be running to be the first woman president, which I think would be a sea change in our country.”
The audience applauded, which it barely had done all evening, and she added: “So I feel that either one of us will make history.”
But only one of them will actually get a chance to.

i stand by my words...they are all mine...damn...girl calm down u are bery animated this morning...hillary is like the Titanic...she has hit a berg...and it's not looking good!
it's time to bail out or u will find urself on the cold ocean floor before u know it! whoa!
Is she a fighter or a victim? Or is she a fighter than can't win? Either way, Obama looked and sounded calm, cool and collected, which would be nice qualities to have in the next President.
Hillary made her case coherently at times, uncomfortably at other times. But Barack won the debate. Wasn't even close.

I love the part where he ( Barack) basically called Hillary and her campaign "whiners". Yes she has put out more misleading and negative materials on Obama but yet whines about a piece that had been sent out sine Iowa.
Classic line..."drove the bus in a ditch"....
He has once again demostrated the abilities we need in a president and displayed them , she on the other hand came across as whine and snarky...not very presidential...
***
Now she's TOO BUSY to release her tax returns? Excuse me if it sounds a bit like she's hiding something. Is this the transparency we can expect from Hillary?
(hisollokige: she doesn't even have "time to sleep" it seems and relesea her taxes but has the time to see SNL...)

Yet again, a Clinton blames everyone but themself for their shortcomings and faults. Surprise, surprise. I guess now they have to blame the "Vast Right-Wing MEDIA Conspiracy" for all of the bad things that befall them.
How about a little introspection on their part...team Billary ran a sh#tty campaign based upon the arrogant belief that they as team Billary deserved this nomination, thus they are losing. Pretty simple stuff.....

Ex-Prime Minister Brian Mulroney--being investigated for ethical malconduct while PM by accepting close to one quarter of a million dollars cash!! which Mulroney admits to doing;
yet, being a Prime Minister of Canada at the TIME; he FORGOT to claim it?
NOW... Mulroney refuses to attend the next Q & A; and demands, the investigation pinpoint the "exact" reason he is being interrogated first? Mulroney seems daft, at accepting his "confession to accepting cash" isn't probable cause?
I'd like to know WHY Mulroney was awarded 2.6 million dollars defamation of character money in a law suit "against Canada" when he were under investigation for accepting so much cash and not claiming it until Shreiber accused him?

Obama transcends race and gender. Hillary surely doesn't to a large extent. A better woman than Hillary will surely do. Put an end to this ridiculous excuse for faults in a candidate which are not gender based.
Barack Obama won the debate on points:
5 Rounds Obama;
1 Round Hillary;
2 Rounds Even.
Hillary Clinton had to score a KO in this debate and failed to deliver. Barack Obama was at his steady best and showed that his movement for change "floats like a butterfly and stings like a bee."

Dr. Chopra seems to want a Democrat to be the next president of the United States and so do most posters left here at IB. You guys got red off Ambasteve and Norm and a few others but now are fighting and calling each other names. Why?
That (eptish) (Skeptisch) guy never called anybody any names and he sure wouldn’t do so about two Democrats fighting for their party’s nomination. As far as I remember he is Canadian.
He is probably busy following the big scandal in his own country where they have an inquest into where 20 million dollars went? Allegedly the money handed out as bribes or “success reward” by Airbus to a number of Canadian officials in the “Lying Brian years”.
If Skep is still Down Under, don’t they have computers Down Under where one could follow the Mulroney - Schreiber inquest on the CBC website or post a comment on IB. And why would mentioning Australia be considered bragging?

You still did not answer the question, "Why are you so full of anger and hate, Diablo?" Your accusations and projections can only mask the real problem that needs your urgent attention.
eptisch...go away dude....
Did I hear you sobbing, you whining shameless little puke? Don't try to display your foolishness any further. You are nothing but a rat thriving on rotten putrid in this beautiful Intent garden. Go back to your gutter home. Get a life. Find a job. I can recommend you to my good friend in Mississippi who is in the Motel business. He is looking for someone to clean toilets and do some delivery. Pay is fine and you will get free food. You will fit right in.
ur vileness reflects what is inside u skeptisch...
btw...why are so interested in our politics...why dont u focus on ur politics up there in canada...didn't north say u guys have some kinda scandal up there in ur govt?
Sick dude, you cannot justify all your ignorant crap and junkhead delusions with the "skeptisch" card. You can keep on fooling yourself, but don't think others here are fools to not differentiate skeptisch form me or the numerous ids you keep on attaching to me. Yeah all those ids which criticize you must be Skeptisch! You are such a idiot and a moron. You continue to prove your worthlessness.
skeptisch if u keep it up u might go into cardiac arrest...btw...how the medical system up there? are u proud of it, loser?
Diablo means: if *he* keeps it up he might go into cardiac arrest... that he doesn't know how the medical system up here in the US works for him... that he is proud of being a loser.
How shall I start this starry story off? I could tell ya about my travels to far of places and strange strange sightings, but I'll save you the redrick for now..
I did see this guru they call deepak and all I have to say is I should have been payed to be there, to endure such mumbo~jumbo, for a good cause too, deepaks wallet!
It is so wonderful snuggling with you richard as always i miss you. Make sure you think of me when you eat those chocolate fortune cookies k
As for the land of enchantment
maybe dr chopra will drop in out of his collective bladbla and believe your OWN words..didn't see the kinda passion I would have preferred..you were cute though.. the glasses make you look insane, hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...well I suppose your in good company, with the rest of the dreamers..
Do you you feel the presents of the christ within you?
So if its just one being playing all the parts, which one of you brats is do it?! oh wait thats me... but what I can't figure our is why?
It was always about one thing, love.. yes a love affair that weavers truth from all text

OOH yes! we want get paid for showing up at those types of events..paid fans..AT LEAST
One more thing, richard baby read my out of one of your books, I think clarie is right men our inferior to women, sorry.
Ok lets try this again shall we.
Good day sir
ENDLESS CHATTER for your reading pleasure.
That was super fun!
ps i believe I'll have a side of rice with my contradictions, thank you
love ya
Diablo, I think Skep is very much following the Canadian Airbus scandal and not the US scene.
Irvine, whenever I look in on IB and read many of the comments I find yours are making sense and defending reason. Your political analysis reflect sensitivity and knowledge, whether they are cut and paste, or your own. But when you take on Diablo you are not helping anybody by lowering yourself to his level.
Like I said before, this person has a serious handicap and we should try to help him rather that pelt him. There must be a reason he or she is so full of anger and hate and unwilling to talk about it.
Diablo, please realise, some of us are worried about you and would like to help you but we do not know how. We wonder why there is so much unsubstantiated hate in the world and at the same time can’t even find out what is bothering an individual?
Let’s not forget Dr. Chopra who says: “My critics are my friends too”. Some of us are your critics, Diablo, but at the same time your friends.
PS: At a hockey game in Vancouver a guy, a spectator, just won a million dollars (Canadian Dollars) for hitting the net 15 times in 24 seconds from one end of the rink to the other.
are u not ashamed to call urself a woman, loser? i guess not...u must have a whole lotta proud aging d..g queens up there in canada..yikes!
You are doing a convincing job telling us you are not well Diablo. Why are you so full of anger and hate?
Danielle, I appreciate your thoughts. I apologize to everyone who are offended by my reactionary abuse of this blog directed towards Diablo.
PS. Its amazing how he calls so many "Skeptisch" including you! Perhaps he thinks that anyone from Canada must be Skeptisch by default! LOL. Anyway, nice talking to you. Seriously though, I don't think there is much hope with Diablo's condition. There are some here who in the past used to enable his mild abuse. But in an increasing trend almost all of them are keeping away from him. This is a positive sign which might provoke him to finally address his frustrations in life, rather than having to direct them elsewhere and towards women and older men in the limelight of Deepak's community.
Tammy, nice post!
Yes We Can post more healing thoughts!
Yes We Can help Diablo!
My first chance to write ...
in so long a time
and
I have spent the early hours
just dancing
and writing
poems and music,
and
finding the celebration
of my life's work,
and to honor the Father I have had,
and now laid to rest.
It's too cool an evening, and
the warmth of

has me wrapped up
snuggly in blankets and heat
IB is the same resting ground

poking fun
disturbance on politics
rants
fun conversation

HI YAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Open Thread has turned into a third grade spit wad contest. With secondary contests on whose Dick is bigger than whose, and which guy's Old Man can whip the other guy's old man.
Cut it out children!
Shut up!
Stop whining,
and get a life!
On the subject of the Democrat contenders, the truth is, they both are pretty damn good choices, miles above Mc Cain, and light years ahead of Bush!
I suggest they go into the back room and have a paper, rock, scissor, contest, and who ever wins will become the President and the other one will graciously become the vice president. That ticket would be unbeatable.
Cheers,
Stan
If Skep were alive today he would turn in his grave!
Hugs Kate and yo Stan!
Diab, you have become obsessive and paranoid, grandson, but I know what you mean. Shake urself good'n hard and see what rises up! (belly laughs included)
We are responsible for ourselves and none other, though others will be lifted up by our resolvings, 'good or bad,' as befits our notions. Kate knows.
Love,
Ed.
Dear Kate and all,
What a bliss when inspiration touches you : )
A few days ago I have sent in a manuscript of Inspired Designs and Inspired Poems made by Donna D. Sonnenburg, Canada and Mieke van der Poll, The Netherlands to a publisher here in our country.
He was quite impressed by the beautiful lay-out and is willing to make it into a book and publish it on his site.
This wonderful book is a result of a warm friendship that has developed between a couple of Intentbloggers who have been inspired during these few years by the mostly warm and friendly exchange there has been on this blog.
And as North expresses this so eloquently:
This project was only possible because of two dreams, and the amazing internet..reaching across the globe...to the heartphone : )
Next week I will receive a first specimen copy of the book and if North and I agree with the way it looks, it will be printed, firstly in a small circulation. But who knows, maybe it will sell big!
I am so grateful to see this joined effort in print and my special thanks go out to Harbhajan Singh, whom’s book Self Designed Universe not only inspired me to translate it but also gave me the inspiration of many of the poems now printed in this book.
With gratitude and love, from the heartphone,
Mieke

wont we all love to see that sick troll eptish and his million aliases ride off into the pacific...and take a permanent swim to the bottom...damn! skeptish...dude...u neva giv up, even when u show up as anne, danyell or whatever else...say...when is ur next doctor's appt. IB reject? are u having dreams of seeing spoon bending demos in canada? yikes!
"Diab, you have become obsessive and paranoid.."
Well said, wise Ed.
Obsessive with Skeptisch and spoon bending...
Paranoid with aliases and such...
Sorry Irvine, healing thoughts on this blog won't help his mental condition, only therapy and medical help will do.
Danielle, I think it is time for the IB Administration to send a clear message so that IB won't be used to play out his personal drama day in and day out. It won't help anyone if he shows little redeeming qualities.
Diablo, the regs are back as a call from Irvine to post some healing for your benefit. Don't squander you chance for redeeming yourself with a change in your obsessive behavior of late.
Hey regs., forgive this moron for he knows not he is being a big prick. He knows not how to accept or seek help for his fixations, obsession and paranoia.
Fact is his piggy brain is no monkey brain. It can't be re-wired with standard tools. His tail cannot be straightened. Unless of course the tail is cut, and fed to his voracious mindless mouth. And then wait till it all come out from his rear as one long turd along with his constipated brain juices.
Hi Mieke...I can hardly wait to see our project in book format!! Indeed, IB in the beginning 3 years ago, was a dialogue-paradise...inspiring many ideas, dreams, friendships. I am so excited to see the book, I cannot sleep, due to the excitement!! lol
My apartment had a viewing again last night; 2nd one in 5 days!! I do not like strangers coming into my home!!!!! I can hardly wait to move now, but only if I can find a nice apartment..
much love,
North
Meike #81 & North #84:
Congratulations on your co-creation and for modeling the creative success of heart connection. This feminine pathway replaces aggressive male-dominant patterns. Let me know if/how I can support you here in the Northwest.
Trish~~
North, if we meet you in person, would I call you North? I need a room mate.. you could move to nm and help me raise kids. I am a kind stranger, and a hopeless romantic..I'll be looking for places to live today too, so I hope we both find the perfect place.
: >
Hi North,
Same overhere lol.
Well, the fun before is always the most fun but you know, i had a look at the manuscript today again and the blissful feeling that we have created something for eternity that will never go away again. The heart connection!
Hope you DO find your dream apartment very soon now.
Much love,
Mieke
Happy Birthday Darling!
Dear Trish,
It is all about the heart connection. Not so long ago I sent you an email but haven't heard from you since then. I lost your email address but perhaps you still have mine?
If so, mail me your address and I will be happy to send you a copy of this little book in the hope that it will touch your heart and inspire you on your "path of life".
Having many creative ideas in my head, i am always so grateful when one of them finally realizes itself :)
Thank you for your kindness,
Love from the heartphone,
Mieke
HI Trish.. you can help by your encouragment, OR/AND by buying the book from Mieke.. perhaps everyone at IB, would consider to buy a copy..to support mine and Mieke's DREAM?
Hi Tammy.. Donna Doreen is my name : ) I hope you find a nice apartment! In our wee town, the pickin's are quite slim; as the buildings are very old, and slumlords have taken over the renters market here. It's a nightmare really, to find a suitable apartment with no stairs, laundry ability, no noise, no dogs, no parties, no carpets!! Maybe I hope for too much..but, that's what I need!! I sure am tired already after 2 viewings, of strangers coming into my HOME! : (
Hi Mieke.. we have done well my friend; all due to your diligence, patience and inspiration. You keep me inspired, to aspire to find my greater potential.. yes, you DO that with such natural-ease.
It is -22C below freezing today, so will be an indoors day for me today!! Very sunny out though; so may take a walk-about later in the day for some of the sunshines vitamin-D source!! Besides, my ol' bod is under the weather from packing, organizing, etc the past few weeks.
I have given away so much, it's ridiculous..as I never thought I were such a pack-rat saving everything!! lol I've been working on this 2 years since my son left for college..and I am pleased with the lesser-accumulation of "things" very much--though it was VERY hard, to part with my 104 old antique trunk! : ( lol
My whole home was antiques when I were still married... now, I am down to ONE piece, which has been in our family almost 50 years already..this, I will keep for my son one day to have.. an nice little antique desk. I would sit there at that desk growing up, reading, writing, colouring...proclaiming to all in the fam, it was MY desk when I grew UP! lol My sis got the antique butterfly-mirrored dresser that was to be mine too... I was living in Alberta at the time she gave it to my middle sister. : ( Ooh well!! lol
Oh, i am rambling, rambling, rambling again...
Love from the heartphone,
North
Wow Mieke, North! Congratulations!! So your creative tree is now going to bear fruit lol. I too will be happy to buy your book.
And Mieke, the word heartphone we created in the course of our natural emailing may well enter the dictionary within a couple of years lol.
# 83...
dude why dont u mind ur own damn business up there in canada?...ur puny, puky little politicians must bore u to death...which is y u keeping butting in ur "know-it-all" cut and pasting fingers in our business...and then u have the nerve to pretend u are american...what state are u from...doggy? and are u gonna put on a pink dress, pretend u are some indian chief and sneak over the border vanessa, chris, john, IW, anne, suizo, reason rules, wingman, logisch, hisullokige, kubane, tryingtobereasonable, skeptisch etc, etc, etc, etc, etc etc...........? if u go away maybe all the other regs u drove away may come back!
Hello all,
Mieke, North, Congrats times 10!! I see you are making beautiful music together....may the book be a huge hit..:)
just came across this while browsing the news this am....from BBC online a story about children being killed by Israeli airstrikes into Gaza in retaliation for rockets launched, up to as many as 40 to 100 each day into Israel. This is the headline......."Four Palestinian children have been killed in an Israeli air strike in the northern Gaza Strip, local medics say."
I think it would be a lot more beneficial to the lives of innocent Palestinians if the headlines started to be worded in a somewhat different manner...like....."Four Palestinian children have been killed in airstrikes that are retaliation for the continuing rocket attacks against Israel by the children's Palestinian leaders in HAMAS."
If, in fact, the responsbility for the attacks was, immediately, and, directly, pointed out to the world, by the news media, there, may, in fact, be, different results, different responses, by the Palestinian people, and the world at large, and, also, this is the where the REAL reward would come into play....the color and hue of the SYMPATHY card would have to be played differently or not at all.
I think a lot of Palestinian lives would be saved with just bit more clarity in the way the news events are reported, in fact, I am quite sure of it.
I guess after watching how our lead up to the Iraq war and how President Bush( the erection of
the untouchable wall of scrutinization) was treated by television and newsprint reporting and again during this Democratc presidential campaign watching while Barak Obama is given a free pass to a presidential nomination while his opponent has been scrutinized to the hilt for years before and all through the campaign, I am starting to see how the prejudices of news reporting is actually hindering the cause of life and liberty these days instead of being a contribution to. In this campaign ,we may, in fact, end up with a very inexperienced President at one of the most vulnerabe and challenging times in our recent US history, in terms of domestic and foreign policy needs and demands. Inexperience and change do not necessiarly go hand in hand. But, the Barak Obama mania that has swept the Nation is inexplicably unconcerned....Barak Obama has integrity, they clamour, as if they actually had "first hand experince" with it, he is more like JFK, RFK, and MLK, they clamour...WOW...it must be nice to be comparred to the "the top three of the Democratic Partie's most famous list." they are sure of this too...it is amazing how you get to know all the "most important stuff" from reading someone's books about themselves...he wrote it, it must be true, he speaks it, better than, well, just about, everyone...so he must mean it....this is how Barak Obama's supporters, just, KNOW, he is the right man for the job of taking care of the lives of how many millions of people? No big deal..he is a man of "even temperment," doesn't lose his cool," and to top it off he gave Chris Matthews shivers up his leg(well, he may even have me with this one, any male who can get away with giving the "jackhammer voice of MSNBC, shivers up his leg from talking") can't be all bad, I guess.:)
have a great day everyone, ruth
Hi North,
Well, since you have been obliged to do so much away, i would like to offer you to be able to buy yourself a one-in-all chair for your new apartment, one that can keep you comfortable when "Internetting" :), one that can keep you confortable when reading a book, one that can keep you comfortable when resting and even one that can keep you comfortable for those little naps inbetween :)
If our book will sell, start counting those blessings :)
Love, Mieke
Dearest Harb,
Thank you so much for your response :) If it wasn't for you, this would perhaps never have happened! After all it was You who made me aware of this heartphone :)
And the Universe agrees with this synchronistically as this song is now playing on the radio here: "knock, knock, knocking on heaven's door....."
Those poems were made in heaven you know :)
It will be my pleasure to send you a copy of this book as a special gift from the heartphone to you and your family in gratitude.
With love, as always, in all ways, from the heartphone :)
Mieke
Dear Ruth,
Thanks a lot, and yes I do agree with you. Perhaps there are lots and lots more female reporters needed to balance the news in a more natural way :)
In my perception you are one of them!
Love to you,
Mieke
Hello Harb! It has been a long time. Thankyou! It were you, Mieke and Patzi, Dave Hall Jr..whom got me inspired to do more with my digital art, than just play around spending time having fun, this past 3 years at IB! I am forever grateful, for the learnings, the teachings, the interaction of our creative pursuits for happiness! : )
Hi Mieke.. I would love a chair like the one you described! I have not had a couch/sofa in 4 years as mine would not fit this apartment, and so I had to sell it cheap on the spot, on that moving day! I cried. oooh yeah; as I have the matching arm-chair, and the sofa were 7-feet long! so, comfortable too. Oh well. Things come and go. So yes, I would love to have a chair like that one day!! I have always wanted a papasan chair! Have you seen them? They are round, with a huge round cushion? so comfortable!! OR, I would like a 3-position futon again...
Oooh dreaming, dreaming, rambling, rambling!
You know, there is one thing nobody wants of mine.. it is a boot-box filled with my hand-wrtitten poetry since I were age fourteen!! Nobody knows what to do with them. I went through my big giant trunk my grandfather gave to me in 1976 at Christmas, and there were my box of poems! I keep important papers, and my son's baby things in there... even a boxing bag/gloves his great-Uncle gave to him so many years ago. lol
Maybe I'll find a song-writer to sell them to?
Hey... Dave Stewart.. you reading this? A boot-box of songs, for a measley 2 million ok? : ) lol
Hey! They say dream big.. so I AM!
Love to all, all to Love!
North
dear Mieke and North,
This is very exciting news about your book and collaboration. I wish you great success!
I would like to have a copy, as soon as it is available.
dear Harb,
it is good to see you here.
I have been gone for a little while, and hope to be able to read & write more, and would like to read your comments too (hint, hint :)
dear Keith,
are you staying warm in the winterland of the midwest ... brrrrr
Dear Edmund,
a poem from ST
"Language is a metaphor
for direct contact
I understand your silent eye transmissions
& feel the love poems in your touch
Make my flesh real
let your fingers connect me
There’s nothing to stop you
from seeing all the way
to the bottom of my soul
...
Since you’ve come into my garden
all the flowers you pass
burst into bloom in your wake."
love,
~ Kate
Thank K!! Mieke and I have talked about creating something like this a few years ago.. and here it is, now a reality--all due thanks to Mieke; for her diligence, and ability, to work from the "heartphone"!! : )
Nice to have you back K..
Love,
North
Hi Kate,
Thanks a lot!
You will be one of the first to receive a copy :)
Lots of love to you from the heartphone,
Mieke
Hi North,
I have been searching on the Internet for such a papasan chair. Of course plenty of sites lol. Did you know they also have mamasan chairs? :) Also with a matching footstool?
Well perhaps, for your birthday lol, still a lot of time ahead. Keeping it in mind though.
Love from the heartphone :)
Mieke
:)
thank you Mieke,
and dear North
The ladies bring order to this formerly chaotic open thread: yeah baby.
pax vobiscum
Hi Kate, North! Love!
Mieke, when you read my book you were already inspiration yourself rather than be inspired by it. Otherwise you could not have read it, what to talk of understanding it or getting inspired from it, it is sooo dry lol. Because of your own state you got directly to its (and mine) heart, behind the veil of words. And there you had IT ALL!
Harb
Hi Mieke,
re your #102...:)))))))
nice to see you back Kate, and Harb! ....
have a lovely evening to one and all IB'ers...till we meet again.....ruth
correction:
Mieke, whoops that is re#97...my attenion is divided between cooking dinner and blogging.:)))
ruth
Thanks everyone for posting your positive energy (mostly) healing thoughts for the benefit of our IB wayward...

It is a bit of a counter-intuitive argument: Hillary is a fox? Barack the hedgehog? Normally I prefer a fox to a hedgehog, but within the confines of Isaiah Berlin's argument, yes I'll concede the point: Barack is a foxy hedgehog!
Interestingly, Bush Sr was a fox, while Shrub is a faux hedgehog: a Chia hedgehog.
There are times, however, when having a polymath at the helm is beneficial. I think that Bill Clinton's Presidency is an example of that. And that multi-faceted brilliance lent itself to the slice- and-dice type of politics which succeeded then but has brought the current Clinton campaign low.
Unfortunately for her, however, Hillary is not nearly as foxy as Bill was, in any adverbial way: physically, mentally, politically.
She's outfoxed herself.

Congratulations to you two, Mieke and North!
I, like Kate, would love to have a copy and wood be willing
to fork out a few greenbacks for it, especially if you could both
(somehow) put your signatures on the inside cover.
T'wood be maaaavullus! Just let me2 know the hows, whens and wheres.
Cheers! KW and UT
Hello, hello, Kate!
We are beginning a three day warm spell up here in Big Red country!
Thanks for asking! We might reach 60 degrees this Saturday. Wowser!
And Tampa is dwelling in what? 80-85 degrees? Whooooaaaaaahhhh!!!!!
damn...wish I could join you, as per usual.
Same goes for that trip across the Atlantic.
Have fun, girlfriend! Good to see you here!
Luvz and hugz! Keith~
hI Mieke..I did not know there were also mamasan chairs. I am almost getting excited to move now; anticipating for a unique, health-safe, private apartment with better windows for plants and I can keep my washer/dryer machines!! : )
Harb.. Mieke is so aware, it is the main reason I trusted her from day one. I am impressed much, with her knowledge and wisdom of yoga, and the art of compassion.
Yes, compassion is an art-form. Once formed, it is indelibly stamped. : )
Thanks Craig.... Keith... talk to Mieke; she is working with the publisher at her end. She is the brains of the project.. I am the mere muse of digital-arting... otherwise known as camoflouge pictures! : ) we will find a way...
Mieke, we are going to make your waiting for the preview-copy to arrive seem much slower, with all this positive feedback!! : )
Perhaps, when all is done...and we are off the cloud nine-effect(giggles).. we can collaborate on an article to IB.. on meeting here...connecting through a heartphone, and compiling an artistic endeavour as a result!! It could be a "Profile Week" kinda thing? lol Maybe they'll feature our book on IB? eeeek! lol
I am so short; I must dream BIG: so as to force the wish, to reach upward further than most eh! : )
Love to All, All to Love!

The U.S. has the most people in prison anywhere, ever, in the history of humankind.
Prison spending ballooned from $11 billion to $49 billion in 2 decades!
"The rate of increase for prison costs was six times greater than for higher education spending, the report said."

Smoke a joint and you go to prison, worship money and you are a "good" American.

it's time to rest in
sweet dreams,
and
before I do,
I send my love and blessings to all
my dear IB friends,
Edmund,
Edmund where are you just now .... ?
Ah, dear Kate, it's that time difference, yet as old Avtar must know, it makes no difference to dreams.
Nevertheless, here I am just arising, wiping the blur from my eyes. My heart leaps at the thought of those blue birds over. France you say.......
Today I go to my little garden, where to settle in my beloveds in the evolving design for my season's delight. When they bloom, and all the better for it, I shall think of you and...Tothy.
Hugs,
Ed.

Hi Keith,
Thank you for the support :)
Yes, getting both our signatures into this book is quite a challenge in itself lol but am sure North and I will find a way.
Love, Mieke
Hi North,
Guess we both have to do a bit more brainstorming for a few days, reading your post #111.
All good things in three again, looking at this post number :)
Am having already an idea......
Love, Mieke
HI Mieke.. it would make a good IB story : ) I can well imagine you with some ideas already; you are great at brainstorming ideas! You did this idea of the book, and now it is being done! I am so grateful to you Mieke for your friendship, your trust, your guidance, and patience. I've never met anyone in my life, so very kind as you; and so very understanding and compassionate. You emmulate love to all you meet.
Trish, that is so wonderful of you as well, for wanting a book!! Keith, maybe Mieke can sign your book, send it to me to sign, then I'll mail it to you?? It's the only "way" it would seem, as she is in The Netherlands and me, in Canada! lol OR< to save on so much mailing costs for her and myself; I could send Mieke notes from me with my sig..and Mieke can add hers on, and we can tuck it in the book?? We'll figure something out, friend Keith!!
Happy Friday everyone!!
Mieke.. I am already anticipating what your ideas are...
much love,
North
Hi Trish,
I have sent you an email today, hope it arrives safely :) Mieke
Hi North,
For your first paragraph same can be said to you as far as I am concerned:)
Mostly we are not so aware of what we radiate, i have experienced this in the first part of my life. And wondering, wondering why things would not go the way I expected them to go.
But it has nothing to do with the other in the end, all is inside oneself and once fully understood, compassion and love are what is left, both for oneself and for the other :)
At first I had an idea of promoting this book through a weekly Intent here on IB, but after consideration, I have decided to send the book to everyone who has expressed the wish here to receive it, for FREE.
Only thing I would like to ask you, give a donation to a charity that you consider worthwhile.
And yes North, it will be a good idea for me to send you some copies of the book with my signature, so you can distribute them further.
This free offer is valid for 10 copies, of which five have already been reserved now.
Further copies will be sold through the site of the publisher and I will give the link, once the book is placed on the site for sale.
I wish you all a very nice joyful and peaceful weekend from the heartphone :)
Mieke
Hi Mieke.. you are so kind and generous to give out the books; if they donate to their favorite charity for it!! I can hardly wait until you get the preview copy... to see how it looks!!
I am tired out from downsizing, etc... so off go I.. to rest a while.
Love,
North
Dear Mieke & Mi'Lady North:
That is so cool! To touch other people's lives...
that is what this is about--to me!
Thank you very much! And, "keep in touch", we will.
Have a nice weekend! Cy, Keith~

Most eyes may be focused on next Tuesday’s Presidential primary extravaganza. But the race between Democrat Bill Foster and his conservative opponent a week from today in IL-14 isn’t a primary, it’s the real deal: The winner of the March 8 special election goes to Congress.
At stake is Denny Hastert’s old seat shown below right (Enlarge). Normally the GOP candidate could and would walk away with this district.
But this is shaping up to be no ordinary year, and Bill Foster, award winning physicist and successful self-made businessman, is an extraordinary candidate.
This race is more than a local special election:
there's all kinds of national overtones in this face-off between progressive people power and the big-money conservative business as usual crowd.
It's Progressives Vs Conservatives; Science Vs dogma; Change Vs stagnation; Hope Vs fear; Unity and Inclusion for all Vs division and exclusive access for a privileged few. It's the Fifty-state Strategy vs. the losing big states only gamble.

Make no mistake, per usual we're the underdog. And yet against all odds there's real reason for hope. A recent poll shows Foster with a tiny lead in a statistical dead heat. The ad above right might give you an idea for why Bill Foster is so appealing to all kinds of voters. There may be a new ad -- featuring a political rock superstar -- debuting early next week. We have only a few days to raise money to air it, and hopefully, send a clear progressive message far beyond IL-14.
