Absolute Certainty or Not?

Avtar Singh - April 13, 2008

One of the widespread and mistaken interpretations of quantum mechanics (QM) is that there is an inherent uncertainty in nature that disallows existence of the absolute certainty in the universe. Quantum mechanics represents the inherent reality as a potential consisting of probabilities of various relative classical or manifest-able possibilities. Just like the sum of parts is never the whole, the quantum potential never represents the wholesome or absolute reality.

The Absolute Certainty is counter to the mainstream or QM thinking. The uncertainty that is an artifact of local materialistic measurements is misapplied or mis-extrapolated to the universal laws as well. Ironically, however, the QM law of uncertainty is founded on the certainty of the universal laws. As expected it is not only hard but close to impossible to expect the mainstream to open up to a newly revealed out-of-the-box paradigm that the absolute certainty and not uncertainty is the fundamental property of the universe.

The absolute is not counter to the relative but the dissolution or transcendence beyond the relative. Relativities end into the absolute just as the rivers merge into the ocean and loose their relative identities. Similarly, uncertainties born out of relativities end or dissolve into the absolute certainty. The absolute exists at its own beyond the relative. Just as the eternity is not relative to time but its total dilation and just as the light is not relative to darkness but its absence, absolute certainty is pure existence absent of relative or measurable uncertainties. Just like the universal laws, the absolute certainty is the fundamental foundation of the universe.

The absolute certainty of the universal laws is synonymous with existence, universal consciousness, universal reality, Eternity, free will, awareness, zero-point energy, and fully dilated space-time etc. It is the dissolution of or transcendence beyond the QM potential consisting of probabilities of various relative classical or manifest-able possibilities.

Without the existence of the absolute certainty of the universal laws, the universe would not be a Cosmos but Chaos. All scientific and spiritual principles, their meaningfulness and purpose are built upon the absolute order and certainty of the universal laws. Without the absolute certainty the fundamental scientific approach, the Newtonian laws, general relativity, E=MC2, and the laws of conservation of mass-energy-space-time would become uncertain and questionable. The spirituality of unconditional and universal love, faith, free will, trust, non-duality, eternity, oneness, God, the One universal reality, etc would all fall off their bottom without the absolute certainty.

The absolute certainty is not a construct of non-zero space-time but is the fully dilated or dissolved mass-space-time (V=C) or the zero-point energy. This also represents the ultimate meaningfulness, order, and harmony of the universal laws and life in it. The absolute certainty is not the opposite of uncertainty but its complete dissolution just like the dissolution of the mass or ego into consciousness. The absolute certainty is not a probability but absence of it (i.e. probability value equal to 1).

The fatal cost of assuming the non-existence of the absolute certainty in the universal laws is chaos, meaninglessness, and purposelessness in the universe and life in it. The universe then looses its observed and experienced certainty, order, harmony, and joy.

Ironically, even a free willed choice of a person to deny existence of the absolute certainty is possible only because of the existence of the absolute certainty that makes the free will to exist. A free will without the absolute certainty would be a mandated chaos.

The existence of absolute certainty of the universal laws is not just a debate for the sake arguments but invaluable and common wisdom of the ages and holistic science. Hidden behind the confusing definitions, language barriers, and fruitless debates could be the serious misunderstandings of the ultimate nature of reality and the universal laws.

The absolute is not relative to the relative. The absolute exists eternally and certainly irrespective of the illusory and temporal relative. Just as the blind remains eluded of the nature of light and a frog living in the well remains eluded of the vastness of the ocean, the fragmented mind or ego remains eluded of the absoluteness of certainty in the universe. Only the egoless awareness can realize or experience the absolute certainty of the eternal existence. For the local and fragmented mind or ego it remains a relative reality, an illusion, an uncertainty, a probability, a possibility, or a potential.

I respect what you propose, Avtar and think it is the closest representation of the Absolute Certainty. For me it all goes close to an edge.
In fact that edge is so very fine that, I've only to ignore it, for it to vanish.
Then I become Absolutely Certain about everything I float in and it's all right, but only when everyone else floats, too.

Is that a condition I have? Damn, I looked!

My goodness, Avtar. I'm more and more understanding you. Thank you and Desh for posting today.

Hello Avtar and Everyone,

I think it is fair to say, with, Absolute Certainty, you drove your point home.:)))

but, now, I am being overtaken, completely, with Absolute Certainty......I have dissolved... Like an alka seltzer in a cup of water....bye....

:)))))))))))))))) and that is all that left of what you have come to know as ...ruth.

I always believed there would be a solution, alkie seltzer. 90% water, eh? with a stake driven through it, by Avtar.... diabolical.
You will survive, if only by the skin of your microtubules.
Did you know, Moses was inscribed tablets by his Doctor. Whether he absolved them or not didn't stop the carry-on back at the Ranch...really made him stamp his foot and lose his promised land. Must have been the bull-rushes that started all that.

Absolute certainty is ruthless

Ed...hahahaha you write."Absolute certainty is ruthless"

ain't that the truth...and who said we couldn't handle the truth????

;))))))))))))))))))

Dear Avtar,

The "mainstream" scientific community has too much invested in their concerns about their reputations as experts. Their ego-selves will not allow them to divorce themselves from their pre-supposed view of reality. Thinking "out-of-the-box" requires a raising of consciousness to a higher level.

The world of the five senses (limited perception of the full spectrum of frequencies) is blind to the influence of inspiration from the Higher Consciousness existing on higher vibrational levels.

The "world of the relative", that is only about 5% of the spectrum which is visible to us, is the world of illusion. When we identify ourselves with the computer program (our body as a holographic illusion), we allow ourselves to be disconnected from Infinite Consciousness. In order to find inspiration on higher levels we must slow the hyperactivity of the brain with its preconceived view of reality.

Meditation allows KNOWING, the realization of the SILENT INFINITE CONSCIOUSNESS.

Avtar, don’t you think that other Singh, a real scientist named Parampreet Singh, may be able to help you with your problem and absolute certainty and uncertainty’s absolutism?

“In cosmological models based on a theory called loop quantum gravity, our universe has a parent. Loop quantum gravity attempts to meld relativity with quantum mechanics by describing space-time as a constantly rearranging fabric of interconnections. On the smallest scales, around 10-35 metres, that fabric is a tangled mess, but on much larger scales the space and time of our universe look smooth.

The theory predicts that when this fabric is scrunched up, it becomes bouncy. So if the universe before ours was contracting, it would have reached a point of maximum density and then bounced out again in our big bang.

So what would this predecessor have been like? To find out, Parampreet Singh of the Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, and Alejandro Corichi of the National Autonomous University of Mexico, Morelia, applied the equations of loop quantum gravity to a highly simplified model of the universe. They found that the properties of space, such as the quantity of matter and energy it contains, hardly change when the universe goes through the big bounce. "For the simple model considered, the universe is almost exactly the same on other side," says Singh.”

Avtar,

The Dalai Lama is in Seattle for five days with Seeds of Compassion. Our governor is honorary chair of the committee; our mayor is involved along with many community leaders and organizations.

School children, teachers, parents, families are flocking to see and here His Holiness. This is a significant local and global event sending ripples out into the cosmos.

Seeds of Compassion is emphasizing the need for social and emotional education along with academics. The need for emotional intelligence is critical so that infants, children and parents can create a new world of peace.

That is absolute certainty and not "a relative reality, an illusion, an uncertainty, a probability, a possibility, or a potential."

This is the real deal and something to celebrate!

Trish~~

#9 When they say there is peace, Trish, then will all hell break lose. That resolved, then we shall celebrate. Hell is not to be swept under the carpet as Avtar will tell you. This mixed blessing Earth is only the proving ground to Absolute Certainty.

Amen and Yo

Thanks for your feedback, Ed. Imagine the yin/yang wheel representing heaven and hell. Hell that holds compassion is not the same hell ruled by ego. Violence and hatred is not the same hell as one that contains some degree of light's compassion.

I am much more right brained than left brain and scientific. The Dalai Lama's views and words sing to me. Please consider reading some of the activity at Seeds of Compassion. www.seedsofcompassion.org It's time for opposites to learn to communicate and that is done through listening to one another through compassion and empathy.

What is hell? The opposite of heaven? Where do both reside? Within one's own earthy ground of body/mind/heart/soul. Hell as we now know it is dominant because left brain has overpowered right brain. And right brain has created its own tangled wiring. That disconnection between two core parts has created a world that is out of control and in chaos. One of the topics under discussion here with His Holiness is personal disarmament. That is the first step to peace -- laying down ones' weapons of hell.

The time has come to turn evil to evol -- a much softer "hell" of negative contrast. It is a more gentle and smooth turning of that yin/yang circle of Life forces. Hell wobbles...Heaven sings. People of earth can learn to sing!

Trish~~

Well, I haven't read any of the replies yet, and only scanned Avtar's post as I am maxing out on my catch up reading on this blog. But if I understand what I think I am reading, I think the Absolute Certainty is what we refer to as God or Order, as in "God is Faithful" which I hear often from my Higher Self. However, I think there is a world of uncertainty that is free of all this certainty that we enjoy, which is held in place by our desire. And maybe it's from or in a world of darkness where anything is possible, including our creation of the Absolute Certainty. Currently, we need the Universe to be faithful, therefore, it is so. I don't understand it all and I do believe in an Almighty and Great Force, but I don't understand that Force. Well, I just heard, "LOVE." So I suppose that's the simple answer and maybe the answer reason for all of this. Forgive me if I understood incorrectly, as I am in really big hurry and getting ready to go home ... just thinking out load as it comes to me. Plus, I've been pondering up this same subject over the weekend.

Love, Char

Oh, BTW, I read that if one brings a white handkerchief and holds it out to the Dalai Lama, he will take it and put blessings into it - if you can get to him, as one Doreen V shared in one of her stories. So, if anyone is lucky enough to meet the Dalai Lama at an event, bring a white handkerchief!

Love, Char

Okay, I re-read Avtar's first few paragraphs and now I get it. Thanks! Yes, I can agree with what you say.

So, I finished re-reading all of Avtar's post. It sounds like you are saying that the Absolute Certainty is faithful, like God? Correct? How does one explain what appears to not follow the laws of the universe, the ungodly might be a good name? Was this glitch actually part of the Absolute Certainty, but not recognized or maybe it's just a mistake that happens when the laws are not honored? Then wouldn't what we consider absolute certainty, not really be so certain to us, as the laws are not really what we think they are? And just maybe we are making up the laws as we go, or maybe we can change them as we go or destroy them all together? It's like whatever one believes they can create and make it so and just maybe even those universal laws are up for consideration? I am just trying to follow what you are saying, as I bounce between the two in reading what I believe you are sharing in the paragraphs after the 1st & 2nd.

Anyway, I've got to go for tonight, and I enjoy all your post Avtar! .... very thought provoking.

Love, Char
