Kid's are great ....
One day my youngest daughter (then 6 years old) came to me and said that the neighbor child said that if she used a bad word the devil would raise his hand out from under the earth and pull her under. I replied to her that we don't believe in a devil. With a smile on her face, she said:" That's right...we only believe in the "good stuff".
That got me really thinking...
I never believed in a devil...but I did in Angels and fairies. I talked with a friend of mine that swears he has seen the devil...it appeared to him.
Was the appearance of a devil less valid then my belief in angels and faries?
I thought of Doreen Virtue...who has built her whole business on teaching about angels and faires...and people are really!!! seeing them.
How can this be?????
I came to the conclusion that it is as we believe....not more and not less. Everything is a creation of our mind...you... me...God.
Is anything "real"? And there...deep inside of me.... I am smiling......
Deepak,
When you have these glimpses of your true reality, is there a sadness and sense of pointlessness as well? At first, it's very liberating, but if you can't hold on to it, as most can't, one can't help but think of the pointlessness of creation. There's still a deep peace inside, but what's with the cosmic joke? You're very active in making the world a better place, which is very noble, and I am very grateful for all that you do, but do you ever think, "why bother?" What will be will be? We destroy our planet and humanity ceases to exist... ho hum. We all become enlightened and coexist in such a way all our wildest dreams come true... yay. I assume we will counter evolve at some point just as we evolve... the exhalation and inhalation of the universe I guess. I am reminded of what Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj has said repeatedly, "nothing compels." I know you greatly respect Maharaj's and Vasistha's teachings, but where do you find the initiative to change the world from these perspectives? Seems a bit ironic to me. Granted I probably wouldn't have heard of Maharaj or Vasistha if it wasn't for you.
Love,
Airik

Dear Deepak
Thank you for sharing your dream. The thought that we are not our own -- in that there are no real boundaries between ourselves and others, only perceptual boundaries -- is disconcerting, but also comforting. It supports our sense of connection -- especially the continual quest for connection -- with others and the world, that so much of Western culture provides little overt support for.
There are real boundaries, of course, but maybe they are better called territories. This collection of cells and energies that I call me is my walking territory in the larger universe, my cloud of light. I'm familiar with a lot of of it, but maybe I'm most familiar with the places where my cloud of light touches other clouds. The paths where I feel the most touching are my apparent boundaries.
Over and over again, unusual situations prove to us that our apparent boundaries can be transcended. We mythologize these unusual occurrences, but they're really real, though momentary, manifestations of a larger truth, that our territories are organized to normally resist awareness of. Maybe. :)

Hey Deepak
I like hearing the sound of children in the background. They almost distracted you. Children have a way of doing that.
I think you are getting closer to the truth when you start wondering, was it a dream or was it real.
be more awake when dreaming and more dreaming when awake
It's right there at your finger tips Deepak. Once you let go you are free to hang on.
Everything that ever happened created everything that is and I am apart of what is.
The whole butterfly thing is a smoke screen. Let it go.
Did I create you or did you create me, another smoke screen.
We are here you and me and everyone else, enjoy us all.
Your gonna drive your self crazy with all this is reality real kinda thinkin'. Yo, it don't really matter.
I am therefor I think I am, i think.
derek the dreamer of reality
Even theses great insights and experiences that you are looking at are an extension of conceptual reality. Be careful that you do not chase the Spiritual wild goose.
i remember one time during meditation having an experience as a woman in her mid to late thirties. Her name was Jackie and she was a single Mother with a small daughter about four or five. She lived in South East London around the early sixties time judging by the clothing etc. I knew everything about Jackie for a moment or two including the worries about her daughter and how she felt before and after her death.
I can only speculate that this was another lifetime expereince for me. When I first got into spiritual exploration I was told that they were common the more one identifies with the Inner self.
What was strange was that I still felt a very distant concern slightly for the daughter who's name was Emily I recall. At one point after the meditation I even thought about trying to track down Emily and see what would happen if I came face to face with a person I had mothered in a past life.
I meditated on this idea and realised that I am no more related to Emily than I am to any living thing that I can behold. Even a complete stranger is My Mother, Brother, Sister or Father. Relationships are bogus and impermenant. You are not attached to one thing but to all things at once. There is no particular direction to go in nor any particular thing to love more than the other.
There is only God and that is beyond all dreams, confusion and concepts and is the heart of everything that is real.

I recently wrote a Book that is Kind of in line with this type of area.
I have no desire to send it off to be published or make any money from it and just wrote it for writings sake, If anyone would like to read it then I can make it available to you online or can e-mail it to you.
It is not a new age book or anything it is just a fictional story.

I was interested in the idea that if one said a bad word that the devil would pull you down into his hole. That is a very true aspect of letting yourself be eventually destroyed by continuing to use negative and harmful self expressions, that the loss of the desire to strive towards goodness and decency will actually permit yourself to fall to lower and base desires and aspects of one's being.
I rationalize this all the time myself so this was a good lesson for me. I use expletives often to express my annoyance or frustration, but the real issue is that while I could have instead used a postive and more hopeful expression I allowed myself to go down to the negative and more destructive side to vent my feelings.
So in a sense, the devil does grab hold of me and drag me down, when one uses the term devil as a replacement for negative, or destructive, or harmful feelings.
We use "cuss" words that way,to express our feelings of frustration, our emptiness, our lack of self control.
The devil is a metaphor for our low side, our dark side, some call it. Instead of cussing and swearing, we could have opted to say some other word, phrase, or thought that would have given us a more peaceful and happier emotional feeling. In the end, it is within ourselves to self destruct or to save ourselves! A good lesson, so thanks for sharing this idea with me now. However, I know I will never be able to thank God for the driver who cuts in front of me too close. Thanks god for making me a better driver than he is is not very likely to emerge from my thoughts as I say, Dang You and honk my horn at him! Life is such that we just have to burp when necessary and apologize for it later!
An interesting development, a work in progress.
I wonder if they are real?

Simon, I would be interested in reading it. Could you e-mail me your book? Vivamis123@hotmail.com
Richard, I clicked on your name. That's some interesting stuff. I did not watch the video yet...but it sounds cool. Do you think that it is possible to "make" advanced beings?
I don't consider myself an advanced being...I see myself equal to all...but I have had several expereinces that I would like to hear more about from others. Is there a forum for advanced beings?
Richard I prefer to say it that way:
Life is real but the experience is tinted with illusions?
Deepak, today I was thinking about your dream while I was walking to my job.
Could it be; Deepak talking to Deepak? This strange voice in your dream could be your own voice.
What is real? What is the illusion? It is a wonderful realm to walk on... taking consciousness of this possibility of illusions in life is something truly powerful and deeply positive.
How dangerous it is too! Very dangerous! When we start to say that life is an illusion... Take care, this is dangerous! A dream is an illusion? no, I do not think so. A dream is a dream, imagination is imagination. When they manifest they are really what they are. And we are experiencing them as they are.
A tree is a tree, your body is your body! A thought is a thought. Try to change that just for fun!?!?
So what is an illusion? What is real or not real? Where is the illusion (if any)?
So my present conclusions are: my body is real, the sky is real, the city is real, the house and the food are real.
But am I real? yes I am real. How can we say we are not real? This conclusion is insane for me! But... Is my body the total real me? Is my experience through my 5 senses the total reality? Is my dream the total reality? no. But yes... this is real... but not in its totality.
Maybe Dr. Avtar will say it that way; it's 4% true.
So, let's come back to your dream, The way you describe it, the terms you use... it's all about the good Deepak that we know. The beliefs of yours about life, about you, coming to an affirmation, a conclusion, inside an energetic dream, started from external-innocence child-curiosity and merged with your inner-child and curiosity.
Your dream is real, experienced "as Deepak".
Where/what/who/how is the other 96% of us? This is the question that I am asking to myself. The answers like; consciousness, emptiness, oneness could be part of the answers.
I think we are presently "living with consciousness" the manifested part of all of us, inside this wonderful Universe. Real Universe, real you, real me, but not totally real.
Thank you for sharing your dream, Deepak. It made me smile with joy to be reminded that I AM before and after this person I call me.
I believe the dream was the answer to the question Is It Real? Perhaps your grandchildren were reflecting your own inner curiosity. Ask and so shall you receive. The question was answered when you were made aware of what your body was part of. Everything and One but not necessarily real as we think it.
Learning is one thing, Knowing is another. Now you KNOW. Many times I have woken from a dream with a new perception, a knowing. Perhaps dreams are learning tools, especially directly after meditation.

Hi Vivian and Mieke
I have e-mailed you the book to read. I am not sure if I ever really finished it to be honest. It has a Beggining a Middle and an End so I guess that will do for now. Obviously It has never been edited or the grammer corrected as I just wrote the thing as you see it.
If anyone else would like to read it I have posted it online also for anyone to download and read.
Follow this link or click my name to get the book.

This is the age of advantaged beings.
Is it the same as advanced beings?
There isnt really such things as advanced beings.
There are beings and thats it
The ingredients of consciousness is the same in all beings.
What they choose to do with the freedom/Miracle of being is another matter and that may be percieved as them being advanced in one way or another.
If you read the book I have posted there are beings in that who don't need a body any more. When they desire to have a body they can consciously manipulate elements around them to form bodies from water and rock etc.
I have been subtely aware of such beings; but they are conscious the same as I am.
Are they advanced beings?
The answer depends on who and where you are judging them from.
God is the only thing that is real; all of the countless permutations of beings are irrelivent next to the one. Of which we are also.
The difference is that one is being one thing and the other is being the other.
As a friend of mine said recently "Jump into the body of an axe murderer and you will find yourself there"

As The Beatles sang
Can you take me back where I came from; can you take me back? Where I cam from; Brother can you take me back? Can you take me back.
We as beings are always trying to get back somehow. What we never realise is that we have never left.

Excerpts from the Gospel of Mary
(not copy-writted)
Mary answered and said, "What is hidden from you I will impart to you." And she began to say the following words to them. "I," she said, "I saw the Lord in a vision and I said to him, 'Lord, I saw you today in a vision.' He answered and said to me, 'Blessed are you, since you did not waver at the sight of me. For where the mind is, there is your countenance' [cf. Matt. 6:21]. I said to him, 'Lord, the mind which sees the vision, does it see it through the soul or through the spirit?' The Savior answered and said, 'It sees neither through the soul nor through the spirit, but the mind, which is between the two, which sees the vision, and it is...'"

Thank you for sharing that. You making this personal post really showed your human(being)ness. I mean, you're always a human who is being but sometimes when we can really personalize a message it can reconnect us to the reality that these leaders, philosophers and teachers are simply people who are searching and seeking as well. It really reminded me of other leaders such as Jesus and Buddha. In turning them into untouchable entities we lost the attainability of their message. That we can achieve what they were doing. Many people see you as a great teacher (I think you are, anyway) but sometimes we lose touch a little and forget that we are all humans and we are being and we are one great big human family full of nothing but equals. Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts and your journey. If more of us try to connect in such a way we will accomplish greatness.
With your teachings becoming more wide spread and the teachings of other amazing people such as Eckart Tolle and Wayne Dyer we are seeing amazing changes. I'm also lucky enough to be working with a foundation that is teaching me about spiritual evolution. I am floored on a regular basis. (check out my link to find out about a new forum we're starting!) anyway... Thanks again.
I find it hard to believe there are advanced beings...or any "beings". As Maharaj says we are one in being - we differ only in appearance.
Simone, Thanks for the book. I started reading it and it feels like a good read : )

Thanks Deepak for describing your dream. Here are some thoughts I wanted to share about this.
Dreams are as real as the reality or the illusion we perceive outside ourselves.
Our thoughts create the reality and the illusion of both the physical and dream world.
The flowing of time allows our thoughts to perceive the reality or the illusion both perceived by our senses.
Reality and illusion are perceptions brought to our mind as we ponder on them.
'The awareness of consciousness' allows humans the use of choice by witnessing the judgement of their own thoughts and so we create.
If we stop our thoughts, our consciousness unifies with the true reality surrounding us and the illusion dissolves.
There is an infinite reality both within and outside the self. Our consciousness is what unifies everything.
'God' is described by so many religions and different beliefs in so many different ways that it creates separation. The reality is that God unifies everything and is consciousness. There should be no separation. In our world today separation only brings wars that are never won.
Consciousness unifies everything. Consciousness is Love, Love is unity, unity is God, God is in everything but does not reside outside the self. However we reflect the spark of god outside ourselves as creator. This universe and the many other are are god conciousness.
The reality of our thought can create the illusion, and the illusion creates the separation. We still create separation in our world with our thoughts but consciousness is the key to unity.
Warm regards
Jean

Thank you for sharing your dream Deepak, as it has helped me somewhat in answering a question that I kind of know the answer to (maybe?), but I am having a hard time accepting the answer, as I doubt much and go back and forth in confusion.
I keep asking the voice that I hear in my mind or the thoughts that I hear who it is or what it is. At any given time, depending on the circumstance, it tells me that it's God, Jesus, Rachel, People, Gabriel from Heaven, Angel of Love, Love, and other people's names, etc.
What was really funny and strange is last week when I was relaxing at dinner with wine, I heard, "I am the crocodile man." And I said go away (quietly in the mind), as I thought it could be that guy that died who did this animal show. But I apologized, as I started feeling bad right after I thought that and said that I was not the one, if he was trying to talk to his family and said sorry.
I heard that one medium had to put on a hat so the spirits would know that she did not want to be bother and was not open for business at certain times. I'm not a medium and I don't want to be, but I still hear and it's a gift that I got 6 years ago. It's weird. So maybe, I am hearing consciousness, as that would make more sense. Like that stuff out there that is still around and has not completely dissolved into oneness, such as parts of the whole drifting and separated? I don't know, but just thinking out loud.
Love, Char
