Recently I was in a long security airport line that twisted and turned on the way to the scanning machines. I was scoping out the boarding pass and ID checkers. Who was the fastest?
Then I was looking to see if I went to the one on the right, which scanning line would I enter and how was that moving? I thought, "Stay away from families with kids and people with computers…they always take longer."
I found myself quite impatient and absorbed with this process. In the next line, I noticed a little girl about 5 rolling her own small Barbie suitcase and running her fingers along the webbed dividers between the snaking line. She was totally engrossed in that process and that material. Her perspective looked more enjoyable. I got into her space. I wasn't late. I had plenty of time. Besides, would my calculated maze plan really save me time? My shoulders moved down several inches. My jaw relaxed. My knees softened. I took some deep breaths. I began to think about texture which I found intriguing. This new space was fun. How could the snaking line be an adventure rather than an annoyance?
What do our paths to wellness look like? Can we enjoy the journey and find out how each step of the journey can be a little healthier? Is it always a process of a little more something…more work/life balance, more relaxed jaw, more strength and endurance, more looking at people in the eye and really connecting, more letting go of what doesn't serve us, more taking in what really nourishes us and more connection to spirit? For me, it is that step by step improvement that really add up to wellness. What one small easy thing could you do between now and next week, that will add to your level of wellness?
Let me know. It will build accountability and could be fun.

Dear Linda
One of the easiest things to do is smile at everyone you meet on your path. You feel better as does the other person.

Hi Linda, thanks for your blog, I really enjoyed reading how you spent that time at the airport.
I would put it a little differently- what we need is not more, but less.
There is all the connection and wellness in the world under that mountain of doings we do :) And I think that "improvement" is a big illusion and one that makes us quite unhappy and stressed up- we are already perfect, as we are. So instead of looking for the step I can do between now and next week to improve my wellbeing, I prefer to be well and perfect right now, and not worry about next week. Otherwise life turns into a race to some goal that will stay out of reach.
My two cents :)
Easy ways to keep journey and waiting healthy are:
1. Be aware that you are breathing. Be aware about you breath every minute.
2. Eat fruits.
3. Drink water.
4. Walk.
5. Wash face and eyes.
6. Visit loo.
7. Do Anulomb Vilomb.
8. Watch other healthy people.
9. Give recommendation to people around you to keep their spine straight.
10. Give other health tips to people around you.
11. Teach fat people around you ways to reduce weight.
12. Teach thin, underweight people around you, ways to increase weight.
Dude, Rajesh Sharma, you are back as Life Coach and Life. Good. Or you for real, or fake? What happened to the guy who supposedly impersonated you and got you banished from IntentBlog?
Keep writing!
Linda,
I went to the spa. Sat in hot and cold pools of water. I laid in rooms with charcoal and mud and jade. I had a massage and body scrub. It's a Korean spa for women only. It's wonderful and if I could afford it I would go more often. Acutally, I'll turn that negative comment into a positive and say that I will go more often. How easy! to turn things around on our path of wellness.
Trish~~

Hi Linda,
Thank you for this interesting article. I like the idea of turning my attention to my breath, relaxing my face and other parts of my body periodically throughout the day. This usually changes my perspective or the quality of my day instantly.
One easy thing I can do now and next week is to be aware of my food while eating and then to sit easily for a few minutes after each meal.
Thanks,
Martha
