I think most people who participate on this site will find this a bit elementary, this is meditation 101 and the IB’ers are at a much higher level than this. Can you give us something to sink are teeth into besides the basics that anyone can teach. ~Kurt~

Every breath I take.....

Every move I make......

Every step I take......

I am creative......

And experience is something that makes me aware of duality, whether I want it or not.

So the paradox remains and that is what we have to deal with.

The ground of consciousness is stillness.

The movement of consciousness is thoughts

The breathing in and out is reality.

The labyrinth is a path of peace that time after time can give one reflection and release......

back into that ground :)

Mieke

Hi Mieke,

I wish you good luck and good thoughts on your poems and labyrinth, I always thought labyrinths would work especially well for spiritual retreats, and most of all silent retreats. During my spiritual hermit years I made my own labyrinth of trails going thru my property with resting areas, scenic points, and rock art. I did it while meditating on the moment and contemplating spiritual thoughts and found it very soothing. ~Kurt~

Hi Kurt,

Thank you so very much :)

Good to read that you have made your own "Hero's labyrinth"!

It is such a universal tool for children, grown-ups and older people.

It is a playful toy in my view, that has already been again discovered in many countries of Europe and has so many possibilities.

Making them in nature is rewarding, they belong there!

But even making them on the computer works :)

Slowly but surely in our country they are emerging from many different points of view!

In Infinite Play the symbol "meditation" is used to mean when one stops thinking and or just witness, having a quiet mind. Not an easy thing to do, to stop thinking.

Of course if you Click My Name you can watch the crystal orb with head phones and it produces a 4.6692 Hz binaural beat in the brain and your brain waves will synchronize with it within about 5 minutes. Meaning you will be in a deep Theta State before it ends.

cool video richard!

Hi Tammy and Richard,

I have seen that video you both did in Las Vegas.
Very cool :)

Richard, i watched, listened to this binaural beat twice. I am certain I will have a good night's sleep now :)

Love,

Mieke

Mieke,

Are the pathways in the brain and body a labyrinth? Do they correlate with cosmic astronomical/astrological lines and earth's ley lines? How are all lines linked and interwoven? It's so very fascinating! Where do they all lead? What is their purpose? Is it a language or a code of some sort? Can you lead me to this information or is it inspiration or is it both?

Trish~~

What I did like about the approach in the video is that "his" technic does not require any tools and can be done through out the day.

I however have found that most people can't move straight to "no thought". I find it easier to teach in two steps:

1) learn to control the mind....take a statement any statement of higher truth such as I am spirit and spirit is perfect. Counter act every thought that arises... with this statement.
Sri Nisargdatta Maharaj teaches the statement I am...Jesus might have used the statement My father and I am one...it really does not matter what you say to yourself...as long as every thought (even the positive ones are counteracted upon) and that you don't have a concret idea behind it that is attached to an emotion such as : I am abundant...I am happy...I am healthy.

2) Once the mind is controlled... stop taking thought to the appearance of things. Learn to observe things without judging them as good or bad.

At this point thoughts may still arise...but simply looking at them...will make them disappear.

Hi Trish,

#8, it is all that and even more.

If you want to learn more about this correlation with "cosmic astronomical/astrological lines and earth's ley lines", a very good website is:

http://www.geomancy.org.
They even provide you with the math belonging to it.

My friend and I used a modern dowsing rod to be able to exactly determine the perfect place to lay down our own labyrinth of stones.

I am still studying the possibilities of the labyrinth, for five years now already and as with all studies it takes a lot of time and perseverance :)

I have had several experiences with the labyrinth and have described them on my own website. In my case it has become a kind of "synergy" with the Hatha Yoga exercises and teachings:

http://www.heartphone.org

But intuition itself leads me to make the ones in 3D on my computer. I came up with a 3D virtual Intention labyrinth that I can virtually walk and it may sound funny, but I regularly walk it and always receive inspiration, insight and the way to go ahead. It makes me creative and lets me find out my (infinite) possibilities :)

Drawing a labyrinth is a simple technique that can also be done on a piece of paper. Then it is like drawing a mandala.

I explained that on my website too.

Hope the above is of use for you and can lead you further on your own way.

Love and light, from the heartphone,

Mieke

dear Richard and Mieke,
You are both so generous.
Thank you for sharing from your knowledge, insights, experiences and mind and heart matters.

thanks too,

hi Tammy,
it is a cool video

I enjoyed Cohen's short video above, which was simply put in words that many of us can relate to, as well as enforcing people like me to continue the process, so thanks for sharing it here. I stopped because it got too weird, as well as boring - believe it or not. Plus, I liked the unscheduled meditation that would just happen, but that was fading somewhat as I became disconnected, which I desired. So now, I'm going to see what the rest of this video is about. I've just started doing the twice a day, 20 minute meditation again after 2 years, so I appreciate any useful (very short) stuff on meditation. I knew I needed to start a practice again to get closer to LOVE and it was watching all Deepak's meditation practice videos that he has on his deepakchopra.com site yesterday to pushed me forward, as I became inspired to just do it and the time is now right.

Love, Char

Thank you for the feedback, Tammy, Meiki and Kate.
