Is the Universe (including life) a Purposeless Accident? Science of Purpose: Part 2

Avtar Singh - August 11, 2008

Accidents happen only in time. Most of us mistake the 4% visible matter in the universe as the entire universe ignoring the 96% of the invisible universe (dark energy and dark matter). Since time is a relative property only of matter, no more than 4% of the universe could be subject to time and possibly an accident; the rest majority 96% of the universe is eternal existence beyond time and free from any accidental uncertainties. Since time is a stubborn illusion (relative reality of matter) from the universal point of view, the accidental universe(s) is no more than an illusion of the materialistic mind or ego.

The impotence of the mainstream science to show purpose to the universe is merely an artifact of its very own and ignorant choice to exclude spontaneity or consciousness from scientific investigations and theories by prejudicially declaring that “There is no ghost in the atom.” In spite of the fact that science has identified spontaneous physical phenomena such as wave-particle duality allowing spontaneous conversion of mass to energy or vice versa, it has ignored integrating such observed spontaneity (consciousness or free will) in nature into the mathematical or empirical formulations of its theories such as theories of physics, cosmology, and biology including the theory of evolution. Because of this fundamental deficiency, no scientific theory has the proper physics of consciousness, free will, or self-motivation that animates the living or conscious phenomena or organisms in the universe.

Inanimate or dead matter without a free will cannot have a purpose, which is a property or characteristic of only the animated or self-motivated (conscious) organisms. Hence, it is not surprising that the mainstream science that solely deals with the behavior of inanimate matter has been rendered (by its very own choice) impotent and incapable of addressing the purpose and meaning to the universe and life in it. Devoid of consciousness, the incomplete quantum mechanics ridiculously predicts not only this universe to be an accident but an infinite number of parallel universes that are all accidents. Ironically and inconsistently, these predictions are presumed to be CERTAINLY correct irrespective of the presumed underlying uncertainty in the multi-universes.

An integrated consciousness based approach demonstrates the inherent purpose and meaning via the prevailing eternity, omnipresence, wholeness, certainty and order in the universe. It confirms that the universe is not an accident, is not born out of nothing and it is not merely going to disappear into oblivion, and that the universe is a cosmos with order and not chaos.

In summary, there is nothing in the universe that is accidental, purposeless, or pointless. This is consistent with the essence of the wisdom of Buddha, Jesus, Nanak, and spiritual masters. Every thing, event, or phenomenon that exists or happens has a distinct purpose. This purpose is to present the objective evidence to the seeker or awakened beings of the existence of the ONE wholesome eternal and omnipresent reality realized via awakening to the universal consciousness.

dear Avtar,
From the standpoint of feelings, which every person born in form has, change is constant.

Like a pendelum swinging, everyone knows what its like to ride the tides of emotions, don't you think - haven't you too?

Are emotions the 4% that is subject to time & is accidental?

mmmm...

Does anyone want to live without emotions?
Not me!

See them as illusions?
sure
:)

love,
~ Kate

Avtar, if the universe is infinite then it is not possible to break it up into percentages is it?

In other words take the first 20 digits of Pi, what percentage of the number Pi do those digits represent?

When you say invisible do you mean the element doesn't interact with photons or are you saying it is intangible ?

Since you are saying dark matter then are you saying something that has mass but does not interact with photons?

Mass is also energy? What is the difference between dark and light energy? Are you saying dark energy is not energy? How does that change the definition of energy then?

The photon is the carrier of electromagnetic radiation of all wavelengths, what exactly is the make up of this thing called the photon that carries the energy? Does it take energy to carry something?

Is it actually energy that carries the photon?

Then what is the photon? Why is energy divided from the photon as if they are seperate entities?

This is from Wiki.

In physics and cosmology, dark matter is matter that does not interact with the electromagnetic force, but whose presence can be inferred from gravitational effects on visible matter. According to present observations of structures larger than galaxies, as well as Big Bang cosmology, dark matter accounts for the vast majority of mass in the observable universe.
-- end Wiki

The problem with this is that for something to be observed it must interact with light. This means that dark matter is not part of the observable universe?

Here is a perspective that may provide a clue for you.

Gravity is a product of The Singularity.
Electromagnetic force is a product of the field.

I was going to write a third sentence but that would have given it all away and we wouldn't want the world's scientists posing as the source would we?

"the rest majority 96% of the universe is eternal existence beyond time and free"

That is an unscientific conjecture Dr. Singh that cannot be proven, and may even one day be disproven. I do not think we need to make such grand statements just to make room for a universal consciousness.

Hmmm . . .

Emotions Kate, especially the most powerful like love/hate, ever cloud our power of reasoning!

"Caring" unattachment is the Middle Way. God is love, yet creation was allowed to fall so we can grow; a caring Creator unattached to the physical universe is waiting for us, waiting for us to unattach ourselves from the physical universe while we yet live.

Before senility sets in of course! ;) ;)

O, by the way: I love you Kate!

Dear Richard:

The visible universe is finite since we can only see within our visibility limits; beyond which may lie the intangible universe yet to be seen. Cosmologists have estimated percentages based on the estimated mass of the visible universe.

Dark matter does not exist as I have shown in my book and papers. It is only a mistaken artifact of applying Newtonian classical mechanics to correlate the rotational dynamics of visible stars in far away visible galaxies. Since these galaxies and stars are moving at very high speeds, the relativistic effects become significant and Newtonian theory gives erroneous results. To balance this error, cosmologists have arbitrarily chosen to devise the concept of unseen matter called the dark matter. The so-called empty space is full of vacuum energy (Cosmological Constant) with no matter at all.

Energy is energy; it is neither dark nor light. Cosmologists have arbitrarily chosen to name the unaccounted energy experienced in the so-called empty space as dark energy. Dark means unseen or unaccounted for but predicted by mainstream theories. It is believed to be causing the accelerated expansion of the universe.

Matter is bounded energy by strong nuclear forces that give it apparent solidity.

Photon is a packet of energy spread over space (wavelength) and time (frequency and speed of motion thru space). As opposed to matter, the energy within a photon is not bounded by strong nuclear forces. This gives a photon a degree of freedom to behave both as mass (when stopped by a solid wall of matter) and wave when it travels freely thru empty space devoid of the obstructive matter. Energy that is not bounded by nuclear forces is all kinetic energy until stopped by a finite material boundary, then it acts as mass particle that lights up the screen of our TV or computer. Each photon has a small mass equivalent to its Electromagnetic energy as calculated by E=mC2. The biggest unresolved puzzle in physics is the actual mass of a photon. It is religiously assumed to be zero to avoid singularities in the mainstream standard model in spite of its violation of specific relativity. Photon of a finite energy can never be of zero mass as religiously assumed in everyday physics. Photon is energy and energy packet is photon; they are not carrying each other, they are the same entity.

I have explained the mystery of photon mass in my book - The Hidden Factor.

My statement is not coming out of the vacuum or any spiritual belief. It is based on the following scientific arguments described mathematically in my book. It may sound as a stretch only if the intimate details of HR are not understood.

As I explained above (#5), dark matter does not exist. The so-called empty space is full of the background radiation photons energy called the vacuum or dark energy. Since these photons move at the speed of light, the empty space and time are fully dilated to zero according to specific relativity theory. That supports my conjecture of eternal existence (zero-point energy) with fully dilated zero space and time or beyond time. It is not an unscientific conjecture if Einstein's relativity theory is correct; nobody has proven it wrong as yet.

If the terminology of universal consciousness or eternal existence sounds unscientific to anyone, one may describe it as the zero-point energy.

Holistic Relativity has shown that the above conjecture resolves the existing paradoxes haunting physics and cosmology today including the observed expansion of the universe and dark energy.

Dear Avtar,

Well if you are saying that the consensus scientist’s interpretation of the math and data is incorrect I would tend to agree with you.

I am certainly not a astrophysicist or a physicist. I am just a computer guy. But I can build these really slick computer models.

In this one model the farther apart things get the faster they accelerated. What is interesting is that the rate of acceleration is minimal for the first 99.9999 percent of the duration then it hits this threshold and flies apart into the great expanse of nothing literally disappearing as an observable universe.

This is what happens in 2012 in my virtual reality game / computer model. Who knows what happens in reality because in reality there is only awareness and nothing. I did find that by tweaking a parameter in any cell of the model the entire model, all the cells, do something really weird and it actually starts to contract saving the observable universe from extinction.

Sounds like a good story line to me.

The Universe doesn't have a purpose it simply is. Purpose is something that we create and the universe allows for that. The universe can also be used to create a story; the act of creating a story generates a timeline.

If one is not participating in a story they are outside of time. Of course one cannot really be outside of time can they? Does time have an inside and an outside?

One can be inside a story and outside of a story though.

We are right to say there are no accidents in the universe.

There is this excerpt from the Source Material hidden within Infinite Play which most have not discovered yet.

“There are no accidents because everything in the story is as the great author intended.”
~Infinite Play

It is important to note that the author can write a car accident into the story. It only appears to be an accident to the characters because they are not aware of the great author.

As you could imagine writing a story with a billion characters could be quite cumbersome so the solution is to grant some of the characters limited powers of authorship this allows the great author to focus on the main story line while reserving the right to edit individual character story lines as needed; which may come as a surprise to the character / authors when the story does not unfold as they intended.

Pease don't forget to quote the source; Infinite Play; one doesn’t like imposters representing themselves as the source. One might take away their poser power.

All in good fun of course.

Dear Avtar... I totally agree. Thank you for sharing. You summed something up beautifully which those of us who are inclined to be more spiritual of nature have felt for a long time. You did so in a scientific way which I think makes perfect sense.

Quite interesting I must say. Thank you for responding Dr. Singh.

Hmmm . . .

Richard... I did not think Avtar said the universe had a purpose. The purpose would given be by that which created the universe. The writer of the story has the purpose, does it not?

I forgot this part.

Taking into consideration that the audience is outside of the story this would indicate that the audience, those witnessing the story are beyond the constraints of a timeline and are in fact immortal.

paulisoso, you are right I wrote that by accident.

This is an interesting discussion about one simple fact: man understanding the universe. Since only 4% of the universe is visible to man, that is the part of the universe that mankind decides to debate whether it is an accident, an energy force with or without purpose, but the remaining 96% dark invisible part of the universe has still no meaning or purpose only because man has not yet discovered what is within it except of course energy, or photons.

This is what I have gleaned so far from this discussion.

In other words, man is what makes anything in the universe have purpose whether there is actually any purpose or not to it anyway.

I found it interesting to consider that one group does believe that it is all accident along with multiuniverses also that are also accidental, none of which have any real purpose in being at all but to somehow or other have mankind determine through chance whether or not the universe in which we dwell has been properly taught through teachers of the past, Jesus, Buddha, etc.etc.etc. Naturally those who subscribe to those teachings all will agree with whatever the teacher has taught them, while science will still admit that with all the scientific tools one can develop generation after generation, still none of it seems to have purpose or meaning at all.

I believe that the answer to all of this lies in the blueprint. But rather than go into that at this point, I am more interested in the 96% invisible dark part that is yet dark only because it is unknown yet to mankind to contemplate. Perhaps there in that region of the universe is intelligence studying the minute and finite remnants of intelligence displayed in various planets within each numbers of universes.

And where is that intelligence located? In plants, animals, or only humanity? Intelligence is what at the basis of this discussion for without comprehension, without language, without mentality, none of the universe has any purpose at all, does it?

It merely exists as all plantlife exists. Intelligence makes things happen. I am watching the Olympic games and marveling at all the energy there, and wondering if there is purpose in any of it, save for stretching one's self out. In the end, none of the athletes want to do anything but excell at their own individual skill.

Well, the real purpose of life is still within each individual's own interpretation of it. For China, it is harmony.

I admire the fact that this discussion has lifted us up into a universe with parallel universes and that somewhere someday mankind may finally be satisfied with his own special bird's nest: home.

dear Craig,
I am counting on holding senility at bay, and just in time! for I have revelations of the deepest Love - just waiting to be experienced 'in time'
...I...
love you

I forgot this part as well.

If the simulation is continued after everything is expanded and accelerated and disappeared from observation, like dissolving salt crystals in water something else happens.

Actually I thought the simulation was done and forgot to kill the process thread and left it running. Well the next day I popped open the window and there was the universe again smaller and younger.

What I figured out I think is that it left this certain class of black holes that were not expanding with rest of the observable universe.

Left alone they eventually all collapsed into one big one which sucks everything back. Sort of like the salt crystals reappearing when the water evaporates. In this case it was space that evaporated into the huge black hole, in theory.

Like I said it is just a computer simulation...

One last part to explain, you would think that would be an end to the universe One big black hole everything sucked in nothing escaping.

I described this here once before. What happens is all the antimatter and matter is sucked in together and they combine and self annihilate releasing their mass as energy. Well the black hole is dependant on mass for it's powerful gravity. This mass to energy conversion process reaches this threshold I still need to name it, (for a million bucks I'll put your name on the threshold) and there is this big explosion, a big bang if you will and the big black hole is destroyed...

Of course there is another angle to this and that is the universe we all see is a just a computer simulation, since the universe is simply a naturally formed computer which only a computer scientist could figure out.

Of course there is another angle to this and that is the universe we all see is a just a computer simulation, since the universe is simply a naturally formed computer which only a computer scientist could figure out. We see the output but not the processing.

The obvious thing is that if the universe is a natural computer it can be programmed. One of the requirements for programming is self conscious awareness, which means again there are no accidents but there could be bugs in the program which would lead to unexpected results and random anomalies.

Obviously there would be parent and child processes, and one process could spawn other processes.

Yeah I was just joking around Kate, making sure you know that. Love always sis.

Erich Fromm ya'all o yeah! Checking out "On Being Human," which is a short easy read, almost done, but synthesizing Marx, Eckhart, and true socialism: o yeah!

Great post Avtar, as I soak it all in. Thanks.

Love,
Char

If by chance, there may be an accident. Not everything is based on within reason of science. There are no accidents. Possibly an incident may be a better way to explain what could or might happen, not prewritten. Interesting topic nonetheless, thanks. Blessings ~

Dear Avtar and everyone,

There is a website where you can find a really enlightening article about the Order of the Universe and the Divine Design within everything.

You can find it by searching Google: Breakthrough of Dr. N.A. Kozyrev, Dr. Alexey Dmitriev, Dr. David... (it is at www.geocities.com/quantum reality/2003/. Once you find the site, the article is New - Divine Design, The Divine Secret.

The site is dedicated to explaining the lost knowledge of laws of creation that was known by students of higher levels of consciousness in the past.

I hope you will find this information helpful.

Best Wishes,

"Betsy" S.

Here's an interesting article I was just reading on MSNBC

"Shedding light on ‘spooky’ physics
Events ‘seem to happen from outside space-time,’ researcher says"

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/26182524/

"Weird Science: Top unexplained mysteries
From hairy beasts to humming deserts, these mysteries go unexplained"

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/18849675/

"...harness energy for human flight..." I couldn't find that one, but I didn't really feel like putting out the effort to find it on "Live Science."
