Beauty is Love

Sarah Maria - September 05, 2008

Beauty is the same as love. One of the things I focus on in my life is seeing beauty in everyone and everything I come across. It is really an amazing exercise. I was in the airport recently and focused on seeing beauty in every person that I saw. The person who was cleaning the toilets; the tired mother struggling with getting her 3 children onto the airplane; the adolescent listening to music, looking incredibly bored by the whole process…

I discovered that when I was able to see beauty in everyone, my heart opened. There was literally a shift in my consciousness when I was able to see beauty in everyone. I softened; I relaxed. Imagine what the world would be like if you located beauty in everything. Imagine seeing beauty in your friends, in your family, in your enemies. By seeing beauty, we can begin to bring beauty into the places of ugliness. We can bring beauty into the places of darkness and discontent. We can bring beauty to the hurt and broken places in the world. By bringing beauty, we bring love. And with that the world is healed.

If you are interested, please try this experiment and let me know your experience. Locate beauty in everyone and everything that you come across. Let me know what happens! With love,

It is a good meditation technique. First you are projecting beauty out, then it is reflected back to you. What goes around comes around. Soon all is beauty. It will be like an explosion, everything flowering around you and then inside you. Then you are the one flowering. The longer you stay with it the deeper and longer the waves of bliss will become. Soon you will be an ocean of bliss.

Another one - simply try appreciating everyone and everything. Not requiring things to become something else, just appreciation as they are. You will be amazed at how it stimulates others to appreciate you in return.

Really, these are very old and simple techniques. But they are proven ones. They work. And that is the litmus test of a meditation technique - whether it works. Everything else is just philosophy.

We have all heard the adage "garbage in - garbage out". The reverse is equally true - "beauty in, beauty out."

Appreciation of beauty is the essential quality of an artist. In the moment you are appreciating the beauty all around you, you inhabit the musician's universe, the artist's universe.

You live from inside a deep well of happiness. No outer person or thing is needed to complete you.

"simply try appreciating everyone and everything. Not requiring things to become something else, just appreciation as they are. You will be amazed at how it stimulates others to appreciate you in return."

the irony of this still bewilders me. so much that I keep forgetting that it really does work.

I appreciate you both for reminding me

as I make the journey down into the well

I stay on each step

till appreciation accompanies me

to the next step

That is like seeing the divine in everything. Yes, that is one of the secrets to obtaining Divine Power. Divine power is the ability to manifest miracles, to transcend, to transform, and to heal. With miracles the laws of physics are not broken they only appear to be because of ones limited perception and understanding of the system layers. What is then allowed is the perfect unobstructed flow of supreme being both noun and verb, and access to infinite capability with an enhanced influence in the tangible layer which gives rise to the tangible, observable layer. The source disconnected ego has finite capability and limited influence within the tangible layer; they can not do much more than move their own body. If you take into account the intentions of the source disconnected or vulgar ego, you would understand why it has limited capability.

This is one of the areas I work to improve upon each day with each set of new and greater challenges.

The trick is to see past the ego being, to the spirit being which then draws it out to the forefront.

Should read.

The source disconnected ego has finite capability and limited influence within the "intangible" layer.

When you have that feeling of equal beauty in everything it doesn’t stop with people but continues to all animals and insects. I’m always amazed at how many insects we kill each day and not even think twice about it. I try to be on the lookout for ants as I walk and escort most insects (except the ones with poison, which I still feel for) out the door. I’ve turned into a big pussy cat.

Richard,
Your posts above intrigue me. I was wondering...

How do you work to improve each day your influence within the intangible layer (or is it the tangible layer)? What do you mean by intangible and tangible?

Also, I read your link, "McCain or Obama? A No Brainer". Can you talk more about this...

"Of course Obama being connected to The Source knows, he also has the Wisdom Based Presidency papers, wouldn’t some like to know what is in them? It’s classified for his eyes only, so is the special communications channel. It’s all about the circle of influence, when electing a president, a divine circle that leads to resolved conflict, Peace & Prosperity."

Thank you so much,
Sharon

PS. Dear Kan, I'm just that way with all insects. Not long ago my 3 year old was stomping on an ant. We then had a wonderful talk about how it would feel to be that little ant.

If one was the most beautiful.. if she/he had such a face that to look upon it was spell binding.. If that one held such beauty that it would stir desire deeper than ever felt before by sight....

If there were such a person but nobody to look upon them...

Would they still be beautiful?

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder...

Beuaty is prior to all of the senses,

real love is when you wont even make such a comparison anymore, that is more than beauty because it is the full understanding of love without comparison to anything including beauty.

Love

Hi Sharon,

?1 improving on letting God be God. Refining my thinking and perspectives, to be spirit and wisdom based, not judging, not seeing what people would label as evil, or at least knowing it is an illusion, even though I may experience it, and seeing the reality behind it, the divine in everything.

?2 the intangible layer is that which does not have mass. The tangible layer is that with mass, in theory mass is created by the Higgs Boson, also known as the God particle. You can also think of the intangible layer as the processing layer and the tangible as the output.

As for Obama, when I watched you in that seismic video, the particular spirit I saw present in your eyes, is the same I saw in Obama’s eyes, not that common. Of course he was in person you were in a video but it still came across; and I like to think of them as having an extraterrestrial nature, a particular DNA.

As for those papers they are a collection of special strategic insight. There is a certain degree of divine influence with some members of the Democratic Party, and I am not talking about the clergy. The Republican Party generally blocks this influence, today, but there are exceptions, lovers of truth like Ron Paul. The Republican Party was once the opposite, they actually put in place the Sherman Anti-Trust act to prevent business monopoly. Today many of them have become agents of monopoly and disproportionate advantage for a few and this includes members of both parties that have succumbed to the forces of ego.

To make one point very clear, forced redistribution of wealth is not the answer; a balanced value exchange system based on a genuine economy with no artificial advantage is the correct approach. Taxes on any one rich or poor in our current system devalues the currency in everyone’s pocket due to flaws in the handling of the funds and a lack of accountability and return on investment.

Let me say now that the best president for the People of the United States may not yet be known. It may depend on the dominant level of consciousness on that day. It depends on where we are at on the collective path. I am not qualified to decide who would be the best president for the collective which is why the sum of our individual votes will decide, and we will get who will be best for our evolution. I can only specify individually from this point of view based on my insight what would lead to a smooth path rather than a rough path.

Both McCain and Obama “appear” to have a level of integrity. The reason I would vote for Obama, is not because of the party but because of the circle of influence and capability. The ability to be able to see though the ego deception is very important. This ability requires a certain amount of knowledge, intelligence and a sharp mind.

I support a balanced perspective of freedom with wisdom and a fair and honest playing field with the creation of genuine value and an equitable exchange of value with a focus on essential economy.

It takes one to know one: a beautiful soul can see beauty in others, so you are very well blessed to have such depth and beauty from within yourself.

Hi Sarah,
A friend who walks through the valleys, the joys, the challenges of Life,
with you
Is a Beauty
to embrace and hold dear.

I felt this today with someone special,
and where there was darkness,
Light comes bursting forth.

How amazing,

Assuming Beauty

And a day or moment will come when you no longer have to focus to find nor focus to see.

At such a time someone may pierce your new way of being with the old reality like, "look at that wrinkled woman, that fat man, those tight shorts."

And you'll be surprised at how much you had not noticed but remember how you used to.

Until such a moment we may be acknowledging unbeauty every so subtly, then looking past it to make good of ourselves.

The one who really assumes and sees the virtues first (beauty, love, etc.) is felt and is nonthreatening to the observed.

Wobbly waves of thought.
Two lines of intent.
One straight line of "I am."

Richard,

Thank you so much for your post. Tremendous food for thought, something I welcome. I'm taking all you've said in slowly and enjoying it.

I haven't felt so good about a presidential candidate since I was first able to vote. How would you suggest I assist him?

Sharon

I saw images of war today, on the news, just a glimpse; I had been avoiding the negative influence. There was no beauty to be seen in those images just a lot of suffering. The reality is the earth and humanity has some ugly open sores and it is going to take a lot of compassion and understanding to heal them, before we can say the world is beautiful as a whole.

One can intellectualize away many things and one can be shielded by distance that allows one to ignore, living in our own little bubble, but there seems to be that feeling that keeps true happiness just out of reach knowing that all is not right in the world. Perhaps it is the knowing that our own protective bubble could burst when it finally reaches our door.

Or is it just me?

Sharon, I may not always be right, I question myself often, what is correct will resonate.

There is a place on his site where all the rumors and circulating fictions are listed with the corresponding truth to dispel them.

Just give truth a voice and dispel the fiction wherever you may be, online or off.

Great post Sarah and thanks for sharing. I think when we see a beautiful woman or a handsome man, we are seeing the light of their soul. When you see someone who appears beautiful, as yourself why? There is a light shinning from that being which can make all of us beautiful. The brighter the light, the more beautiful the reflection or gift. And that light is love. When the heart within radiates love, only perfection is seen. That's what makes someone beautiful. Never be jealous of a beautiful person, but ask why?

Love, Char

Bush Jr. was the best President for the USA when he served and only he can truly tell you why, if you do not know ... he has tried to say why. BTW: no one is perfect and we all make mistakes.

A young male will be the next president of the USA and that pretty much leaves one candidate....Obama.

I love McCain to death (bless his precious soul), but he will not lead the USA. It's not because he is bad or anything like that, but it's not in the best interest of America at this particular point in time.

We can all see the light, if we look. And sometimes, we have to hold hands to see.

Love, Char

Our Four (Fore) Fathers had a vision and it is still alive and well. Freedom for all! Spirit can never die.

There was a man that ruled a country under terrible tyranny and there was no savior. The people in this land prayed unto their God - the same God of all of us. A savior was sent from another nation and of another religion, but nonetheless, from the same God to deliver a people oppressed and tortured by a man who ruled a country in evil. One man .... one man .... was brought down by the hand of God.

Always have faith in God.

Hello Richard.

"I saw images of war today, on the news, just a glimpse; I had been avoiding the negative influence. There was no beauty to be seen in those images ..." ... "Or is it just me?"

Did you see American Beauty? Remember the young fellow who always had his video camera ready? He stares intently, objectively, and dispassionately at Spacey's head in the pool of blood.

I find solution to your (and my own) described style of avoidance ("I had been avoiding the negative") in the photo journalist.

They go into war-torn areas and find a picture. The picture becomes a sensation.

In becoming a sensation, it sheds light and attention on the bigger picture, the story behind the photo.

Personally I think love is love and beauty is beauty but if beauty is love, in a way, the photo journalist fearlessly massages that which needs world love. The photo journalist has found a way to love the ugly, or make love to it, and in doing so can change the world.

Directors and movie makers can take that one step further, passionately loving their craft and a cause while bringing awareness to the unbeautiful.

Negativity avoidance is a popular trend among positivity ninnies. I guess making people passionately wise is an alternative. Thank goodness for the people who avoid the positive people and tell real stories. ;)

Dear Richard,
Thank you.
It is me, too. When one of us suffers, we all suffer.

Truth is beauty.

sharon

Hi Tapestry,I agree awareness of the ugly brings us to change it.

What I do avoid is filling my head with the fictions promoted on TV or cable. It can also be a pipe for truth and awareness, it depends on the producer.

I don't see any beauty in the ego, I also do not think there is an obligation to love the ego, since it is not real, only the spirit being within is real, the living truth, obscured as it can become by the false self the living fiction.

So there is the voice of spirit and the voice of the ego. We choose which one to listen to, the latter creating hell and the former creating heaven. So why would the witness, the being, listen to and act upon the ego narration?

Perhaps the ego narrates a fiction that invites us to take the easy route; the route that requires no faith; a fiction that allows us to place blame on others and has us looking for security in temporary things outside, not the permanent thing within. A short term desire fulfilled that comes with a future hefty price, one that we fool ourselves into thinking we can somehow escape payment.

We are born innocent and blank so how does this come to be? We are taught the fictions of the world by those that benefit from the fictions we hold as belief. The fiction that conflict can be resolved by brute force, which results in war and weapons to be sold. The truth, compromise and balance as a solution to conflict create no product to be sold and no disease from which a few can profit.

The wise cannot pretend and the ignorant can’t help but to pretend fiction as truth.

Math is a truth, and it is beautiful.

Dear KAN,

What you said in Posting No. 5 touched me, "When you have that feeling of equal beauty in everything it doesn't stop with people but, continues to all animals and insects".

When I find insects inside the house I also "escort" them outside. They have a right to life as do we all.

There are some fine books written about communication with animals via connection to
The Voice of the Spirit" by John Allen Boone. He was an animal activist and had an uncanny ability to communicate with animals by disconnecting from his ego.

The books are: "Letters to Strongheart" (about his bond with a unique German Shepherd who was an early film star) and "The Language of Silence" (about his communication with various animals).

"Letters to Strongheart" was especially meaningful to me because I once had a Most Beloved White German Shepherd who I was especially attuned to. The purity of the love from the animals cannot be surpassed.

Best Wishes,

"Betsy" S.

All Journey is pointless...

From the perspective of the seventh stage realisation... at the seventh stage one has not arrived from any place that could possibly have been left from at all...

I began here and arrived here is not the case at all

You have just simply allowed a bit more light through to shine and show you some more of what you already are..

The totality of you is always already

Still....

Regardless of the pointlessness of our journey

God's suit case is always already packed..

I cannot kill insects either. If I find a spider in my house, I do the glass over white card board trick and catch that little fellow. Then I let it outside. They seem to stay outside most of the time. And if the spiders are killed, they always come back and usually bite ... maybe the bitter is the mate or brother or sister or mother or father of the one killed?

Love, Char

Hi Betsey,

Funny you should mention white Shepherd, because our white long haired Shepherd died 6 months ago and our white Samoyed died two months later. They were both big, gentle, smart and full of love. Our pet animals play an important role in our life, and besides teaching us how to love unconditionally, they teach us about detachment, and the pure witness of the moment. They also taught me their hidden language of noises, breathing sounds, expressions, movements, and body lang. ~Kurt~

Dear KAN,

I am very sorry for your loss of not only one but, two cherished pets. My beloved shepherd was to me the most intelligent and intuitively sensitive animal of any I have ever known. I know I will never be able to replace him. Please accept my sympathies.

Best Wishes,

"Betsy" S.

Dear Simon #25
Your poem is a delight and makes me laugh.

Dear KAN #27
I'm feeling synchronistic.

Some lines for you
From the island-magic
Where you could find me

Alone and surrounded
Waves-noises in harmony
Sleeping with rays-sunshine

From this point of view
Nothing is known, everything to re-discover again
How graceful and painful this beauty is

I am charmed-magnetized
Freely-dying
While I am experiencing you
Inside one-Dong...

Dear Richard,

I would like to address some of your comments in Posting No.8.

As you said, the Republican Party is not what it used to be. Ron Paul exemplifies best the ideology of the true Conservative Party. It is my belief that the Bush Empire has done irreparable damage to the image of an actual Republican Party.
The Bush presidencies have led the country in the wrong direction. George Sr. and Jr. have been motivated by motives and forces beyond those that are apparent. I believe the country needs a new party, a Nationalist Party. I feel that there is a need to return to the original guidelines of the Constitution of the U.S.

You said, "A forced redistribution of wealth is not the answer; a balanced exchange system based on a genuine economy with no artificial advantage is the correct approach".

You also said, "Let me say now that the best president for the people of the U.S. may not yet be known. It may depend on the dominant level of consciousness on that day".

I agree with these statements.

I don't believe Obama has the ability to be able to see through the Ego Deception, as you say. I believe that he is definitely guided by the Ego. Anyone who could say, "A pig wearing lipstick is still a pig" is not being guided by his Higher Mind (Spirit Source). He may be quite gifted intellectually and politically but, I believe he exhibits a great lack of both control and wisdom.

Best Wishes,

"Betsy" S.

Dear KAN, Char and All Animal Lovers,

The pure love of animals is something to behold with wonder and respect. There is a book I have read that explains beautifully the inspiration that we may gain through our pets.

The book, "Mystical Dogs: Animals as Guides to Our Inner Life" by Jean Houston is a wonderful treatise on the Spiritual Lessons that she learned from her many beautiful dogs.

Best Wishes,

"Betsy" S.
