Kind of bazzar to know that we are part of all of this movement and can affect any/everything to some degree; even tho at most, one can only watch and play our parts, so it seems. Some times I feel incredibly great and at other times I feel so very tiny.

There was this quote on the chopra.com home page yesterday that said something like this ... by the power of wisdom I feel small and by the power of love I feel great, as there is a mix of both within us. Well, I don't remember who said it nor the exact wording, but it had a ring of truth.

Is it possible that we created the hurricanes? If I believe what I said above, then I guess the answer is "YES." But then exactly who created them? Do people really believe that those who live in the Bible Belt created them? Or other people in other areas? Maybe? Maybe not? But an interesting concept. Do people believe that the N.O.'s folks caused the levees to break, so they could drowned themselves? That would be very sad and then one would have to ask, "WHY?" That would be like watching an ant sting itself when it thought it was going to drown, in order to avoid the pain (?) I don't know ....

So in believing in Synchronicity and not in accidents, then this last hurricane happening in N.O. on the first day of the Republican convention was no accident. That's a scary thought ...

Hurricanes favor September and it's the same every year. I wonder if there is a reason for that as well? Maybe everyone is bored in the South, as they like a little excitement every once in a while? Just joking ... kind of. Really, it's not about punishment ... is it? Or one could just say ... it just is. Like the weather is like that, which is what happens when the cold and warm air unite. What passion!!!! I think I like this reason best ... like the dragons in the sky mating, so I've read somewhere, i.e., Dragons are the storms in the sky in some countries in Asia and it's so cool, I think. I've also read that September is the month where most men desire to mate, even tho women prefer another month. Oh well, just thinking out loud.

Well, I have written a lot about this topic here on intentblog and if you click my name it will list all 590 threads with comments regarding this topic.

Of course you might be looking for something new?

Well for some time I have been observing the relationship between human consciousness and computer systems and electronics and have seen a correlation. Recently I have been observing the interaction of insects with human consciousness and intent.

For example one is engaged in a conversation and a bee suddenly flies in and buzzes one. Or during a dusk conversation suddenly the conversation is interrupted by mosquitoes.

Or you sit down to surf the Internet and the connection does not work, so you end up doing something else, which leads you to see an object that you had forgotten about. The Internet connection just starts working again but an hour later you find you need the object. This is why we go with the flow. If we had gotten upset, speaking profanities at the computer and the Internet and spent our time resisting and persisting, we would not have found that object that we forgot we had. It still all works out, but it is only smooth if we do not resist the natural direction of things.

The universe knows that I will mention that mosquitoes seek out the sickest (weakest skin tissue to drill in). This line of thought also gave me the idea that mosquitoes could be used as a medical diagnostic device. If we can figure how they do it we could make a sensor to do the same thing. Then I will go into this bit about nutrition which perhaps needed to be conveyed to the individual who was intent.

Seems there is a mysterious helper and director participating in our affairs. There is no such thing as a wrong turn. I think everyone will eventually catch on.

Of course this all makes sense since I view the universe as an information system from a systems analyst perspective.

I think I have mentioned this before that a computer does nothing with meaning until some consciousness embeds some intelligence in it.

I suspect the universe would not produce any form with meaning without some intelligence.

Something is directing the keystrokes right now, something in you, the same thing in me.

I hope there is some payback for all this effort I allow.

One more thing in this regard.

The deal with Florida and Michigan getting shut out because they moved up their dates. It happened because the pertinent people in these states wanted more influence, egoic desire. Of course it may have secured Obama as president over Clinton. Now this was not the intent of the finite operatives but may have very well been the intent of the infinite operative.
This is the type of analysis I do all the time. So I can understand better the intent of the great orchestrator which in understanding allows one to prophesize.

Those were some good posts Richard, as I can relate to what you are saying. But in the South (swamps & bay areas) those misquotes do not seem to have any preferences as everyone was bitten and fair game. There was only one thing that worked and it was by accident. Avon produced a perfumed oil, which is safe, that the misquotes hate, so we all use that now and I still have a bottle for my visits home. So we don't have to put on that poison on our skin. That was the blessing and probably the reason for the really bad out brakes of those little bugs. What my mom had to do as everyone else on the bay, is provide bird house for these special type of birds to nest, who feed of the misquotes in order to keep the population down. However, at certain times of the year, the cities still have to spray poison in the air just so people can go outside and not get bit, as diseases can spread that way. Plus, there was an outbreak of some type of virus in that area that was deadly a few years back, which was transmitted by misquotes, which is fine now. Oh well, did not mean to get so into the bugs!

I don't think it really has to do with one vitamin but general health. Several studies which could have been flawed didn't show any difference resulting taking vitamin B1. But many people experience less trouble with mosquitoes when they take it.

What is interesting here though is the question, how much does their consciousness have to do with the experience? Are mosquitoes attracted to a certain consciousness? Do people of a certain consciousness create the problem?

It has always been my observation in groups that the people who show visible signs of malnutrition, which is very common, in their skin, eyes, hair and nails are the first to voice a problem.

It is ALL synchronistic in my opinion. But, is it acausally related quantum waves or quantum Particles collapsing? (just kidding)

When we think of the word "intention", it seems to imply a conscious choice. But, in our interdependant and interrelatedness, our thoughts (intentions) may be unconscious. How many feared, felt victimized, felt forgotten and left behind when the "accident" occurred? This is the energy blocking and collapsing each opportunity for different outcomes. It simply stretched as far as it could before all other possibilities crumpled. The levees in N.O had their attention before they broke. Didnt they create the INTENTION when they considered the possibility of them collapsing? Ah HA! In considering this possibility did they in fact CHOOSE it? (Not with full consciousness of course)

A very simplistic example from my own life. I had a late flight one night and left the dry plane with a craving for a diet coke. The airport shops were closed. Diet coke, diet coke. When an empty rental car shuttle bus picked me up, on the seat behind the driver was an iced cold unopened can of diet coke. It did not belong to the driver. Was this an accident? Of all the sodas in all the world, this one was attracted to me.

Richard, I love your question. How come some seem to be bothered by mosquitos when others dont? I for one seldom have a problem. It doesnt occur to me to worry about it at least until others start swiping and swatting and bringing my attention to it.

So - does this attention call to them? Do I with my thoughts and attention (perhaps unconscious intention) create a circumstance where mosquitos like me?

Next time I'm out - when my attention is drawn to them, I will use my conscious intention to shield me and keep them at bay. I will report back and see what I find out.

Okay here is an example. In doing the bit today on "there is no cure for disease" which has a section regarding how drugs damage the body and interfere with the systems.

I was thinking what I can use as an example. Now I knew of a few I was going to have to dig them up. But sure enough right at the top of today’s news was the perfect example.

Sept. 4, 2008 -- The FDA today ordered stronger warnings about the risk of potentially deadly fungal infections, especially one called histoplasmosis, in people taking the drugs Cimzia, Enbrel, Humira, and Remicade, which are called TNF blockers.

The FDA has received 240 reports of patients taking TNF blockers who developed histoplasmosis, a fungal infection that starts as a respiratory infection and can spread throughout the body.

Of those 240 patients, 45 patients died, including at least 12 who hadn't been diagnosed with histoplasmosis right away, according to Jeffrey Siegel, MD, clinical team leader in the division of anesthesia, analgesia, and rheumatology products at the FDA's Center for Drug Evaluation and Research. The histoplasmosis patients ranged in age from 8 to 86 years; none of the deaths involved children.

The FDA wants patients and doctors to watch for signs and symptoms of histoplasmosis, including persistent fever, cough, shortness of breath, and fatigue.

"Our advice to patients is don't hesitate to call your doctor if you see these signs and symptoms that are related to these types of infection," Siegel said at a news conference today.

TNF blockers target TNF-alpha activity. TNF alpha is one of the most important cytokines involved in rheumatoid arthritis through its entanglement with inflammatory reactions. TNF blockers bind to TNF-alpha, render it inactive, and interfere with inflammatory activity, ultimately decreasing joint damage.

Cytokines are proteins that are produced by cells. Cytokines interact with cells of the immune system in order to regulate the body's response to disease and infection. Cytokines also mediate normal cellular processes in the body.

So the plan is to disrupt the body's communication system and disrupt the immune system so things like fungus can grow?

Why not correct the imbalance or use natural synergistic compounds that actually act as modulators (balancers)?

Well many of them are produced by nature and not patentable, plus you don’t need a doctor.

Taking all the facts into consideration this would imply that the medical industry that claims to be selling health is actually a corrupt criminal organization, and could be prosecuted under the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO). This would include medical schools like Harvard which profit from disease not health.

Perhaps they will evolve first, but for sure the “attention” has been on the wrong thing, money, and a massive re-education of the nations Doctors is needed thanks to the great new understanding that has come about in the last two decades.

I know there are a number of compassionate doctors, some not driven by greed, that are becoming enlightened but they need to become the majority and the whole system and approach needs a redesign, one not influenced by pharmaceutical companies and the makers of medical devices.

Interesting ... allergies? I have them, as all of my family members and my mothers ended up with that horrible arthritis condition. I cannot read that stuff shared, but I scanned the index. It is nothing new to me, as I know about it all and tried almost everything. What I realized a very long time ago when I was a child, as my physical father's words shall always echo to me....it is all in your head. We create it all and one can get rid of allergies by a mere thought. It is all about suffering and being unhappy and not having the strength to deal with the truth or facing it. Ya'no, the poor me syndrome. Like Deepak has said so many times before a disease is a dis-ease. It is that simple. If I believe in any cure, it will work, like the 'sugar pill.' Again, it is all about me.... that is you too...woe is me. The cure is love and compassion, as well as forgiveness. It's that simple. That's the magic pill.

These recent posts remind me of the time I was visiting my mother's house and nothing was going right. I wanted a vacation, as it was my time off and I chose to spend the money to go home and visit. But my family had other ideal and saw it as a time to receive relief and a break from their general responsibilities by my presence. Well, of course, we collided and I have not been home since, even tho I tried a hotel a few times and my son's little camper which was all horrible. So forget my vacations at home! I now realize how selfish we all were. Anyway, what I wanted to share is that in that last visit at home as I stayed up all night reading, sleeping all day and then getting up to jog, that this nasty little stinging bee type of bugs would attack me and bit my legs and behind the during the whole jog every day. I will never forget my mother's smug remark, "They never bit us." Okay, I get it!

I believe if one looks back on ones life they will discover synchronistic moments through out. The real key is becomeing aware of them at all times. The universe is always trying to help out, it opens door but we have to see them in order to walk through. I have looked back at my life and seen times when I have been offered the solution but did not realize it until after the door had closed. Other times I was able to see it and take advantage of the oppurtunity given to me. As a matter of fact this concept has had such a powerful impact on me that I have tried to incorperate synchronicity into the story lines I have been working on. I think the people with the most success in this life are the people that are adept at recognizing the doors when they open. Mahalo for the question.

However, I was once observing a large black beetle some three metres away touring my lounge carpet. I thought, 'I wonder if I can lock on to it and draw it to me?' (There was a fundamental Christian present but that lengthens the story. I did declare my intention!)
I focussed on said beetle with pure benevolent intent and to my surprise it turned on its wayward path and headed my way albeit with the waywardness natural to it. I sat, kinda spell-bound, as it ultimately reached one of my shoes and climbed upon it. Mission accomplished, Christian agog, me agog, beetle went winding back the way he came.

In 2001 a movie, called "Final Fantasy", was made and one can say that this is the first real Virtual Reality film.

What one can dream up in one's imagination one is able to become. We still are at the beginning of such a wonderful wonderful journey ahead.

It is my firm belief that if we go through that so-called 'dying process', and here I do mean the physical process, we unite with this unconditional field of love and are allowed to dream further. There is nothing to be afraid of.

Perhaps this is the secret of the sacred feminine?

But one does not need any drugs, one does not even need meditation. The only thing one needs is surrender in knowing that there is nothing to be afraid of.

And everything else can be used as a tool on the journey ahead. And it is a path that walks itself and one is able to make it as simple and as complicated as one wishes.

Hi Ed, I am not saying that in one context that Char isn’t correct. In the dream realm certain logic does not apply for example. I do jump off cliffs and buildings there.

I must go by my own direct experience. So far I have not seen a way that the program logic can be changed in our shared reality with the mind. The mind is subject to the program logic. There will be more about this in this book I am publishing. I am sure there are ways to hack the matrix but we must work within the logic, or the framework we are operating in.

To sum it up God cannot change Pi and Phi. I have mentioned before math is the one thing that exists in a null universe, prior to awareness and nothing, perhaps that is what is meant by the logos.

If you want to die from the shared reality, or lay down and close your eyes to escape into your independent reality where logic need not apply then yes everything then does exist in your mind.

In order to have a shared reality and separation certain logic and constraints are required. Since I currently like the experience of this shared reality I don’t really want to give up the foundation that allows it even though I do this when I sleep.

One could argue that I am wrong, in that sleeping is in fact when we use our mind to turn off the logic constraints, when we do this though it cannot be shared with “other” minds.

I like the idea of “other”, and don’t want be all that is in a void of nothing, although that may be the ultimate reality and yet there is this “other” thing that exits, Maya some might call it, or we could call it simply “form” and that is what I have to play with. Form functions with a logic and a geometry that simply exists as is and was not created.

P.S. I have noticed glitches in the matrix, where reality seems to actually change or logic seems to be defied, or was my mind fooled? For example yesterday I picked up a blue lighter from the store. When I got home and pulled it out it was read. I was expecting to see blue when I pulled it out it was red.

Another time I was on the deck a foot away from a chair. On the chair was an unusual bug something similar in appearance to a dragon fly. I was observing it and it took off and flew through the air. My eyes followed it, when I looked back at the chair it was still there. Another time I was watching these two ants they were standing in parallel. Suddenly they moved in unison doing a clockwise circle and moving to the left and stopped standing in parallel as if the same program was operating them.

Did you all know that one researcher was using Google earth to look at groups of cattle, he noticed that 70% had a north south orientation in fields all over the place, which lead to the speculation that they could detect the magnetic field and were aligning with it.

Maybe Deepak has some additional thought on this.

I would really like to turn this all into a field of scientific inquiry but it might require a lot of us to participate in collaborative experiment to develop some empirical evidence. As I have stated before I think that duplicated or shared subjective experience qualifies as objective.

I think it is fairly well understood, that what we put our thoughts on or concentrate on(intend) is what manifests for us. So I wonder if it's not the energy of these thoughts that draw us to that part of the network of the "ALL that IS" that relates to our intention.

There seems to be a theme or themes to my own progress though life and, I see, yours.

Wherever I slice my cake, there are currents, ha. It's the holographic view, of course.

When I 'called' you up, you came to my shoes like the beetle and then wound your way back to your own theme, which I accept. That beetle episode was my own story in one of its myriad forms but, more than a story, it told me where I am and, with many years hindsight, still tells me where I must go.....fearlessly!

I guess it becomes a crutch when it works for you and then it becomes a part of your reality.

A tool can also be a symbolism and I use the labyrinth as such and it helps me a lot to create my reality.

You help me a lot to create my reality with some texts on your website.

We help each other a lot to create the reality we want with our opinions and feelings about things, and everyone picks something else that is suitable for him/her at that moment in his/her life.

In my view we can learn a lot from each other and just pick up that what one needs in one's reality at that particular moment.

When I for instance read a book, from Deepak or from someone else, I do not remember its whole contents, but I do pick up that what I need at that moment. And when I read it again, perhaps I do pick up something else.

Well for decades I have only eaten mushrooms that you get in the Grocery store especially on pizza.

There are these other mushrooms, the Psilocybe variety, considered magical, that grow on cow pies, and hence the sacred cow for here the flesh of the Gods was found. They have actually been shown clinically to work better than anti-depressants and a single handful is good for six months to a year.

They were a fail safe because starting out there was no one to remind God of who he was.

God knew though that if he grew them on cow dung he would invariably eventually test them out and rediscover what was lost after going through the veil. A piercing of the veil if you will.

Of course once one of him remembers, then that one can remind all the rest of him in his multitude of points of view.

There is always a need for re-minders and the more the better; refrigerator magnets work well, as do friends that can rescue you when you get sucked into the drama and fiction, leading to less time spent in that God forsaken forgetful state from which he journeys to remembrance and delightful glee.

You know the kind of feeling you get when you wake up from a bad dream?

But who wants to wake up from a good dream?

Nobody.

So if you see some or one having a nightmare give them a nudge bring them back to awareness and remind them, and then dream well with the knowing.

Anyway, I've been looking at camper trailers and I found a few. And one of them I can actually live in which cost $1600 and my car can pull it since it's kind of lite weight.

My only concern is that my company is going to layoff maybe 20% of it's employees and next week is what I heard more or less as they were a little too loud in their meeting last week, even tho it was vague. Of course this is all a rumor, but we all know about it and everyone is sick to their stomach. Strange how everyone knows and no one is suppose to know. So this is my only concern now ... the layoffs.

Anyway, since I have foolishly spent my money as I made it and went into debt, I have been trying to figure out what to do and be ready so that I can act quickly as I am almost 99% sure I am one of those being laid off.

According to the CA law, they have to give us 2 months notice and since this company prefers to walk people out ASAP, we will probably be given 2 months pay all at once (I hope) so that ties are cut and we can all move on. That money would pay for a motor home and pay for my bankruptcy. Then I would have a place to live and might drive 3000 miles and live at my mom's house or start over here. So the motor home would solve the probably of her having no room in the house, as well as being too much of a burden until I get things squared away. Plus, I would be able to take a much needed vacation after working non stop for 25 years in a job I know hate with a passion! Yeah! In the Bible, people only had to work 25 years and then they were release of their duties, so I figure I need time off and then maybe I will pick up some of my creative activities that I have no time for now.

Anyway, this is no accident and was surely meant to be, as well as an answer to my prayers. I would be able to start all over again and be close to my family by moving. So I am getting really excited now, but a little scared too. It will be hard to leave everything I own behind, but I will be able to take my PC, keyboard, stereo, TV, and some clothes, as well as some kitchen stuff and my treadmill as it folds up.

I'll be set for a while and rest for a while....

Thank you, Richard, for reminding me to wake up. It's just I didn't want to die until I found out which religion was true. Well, I mean the Truth of all religions. (: I'll find out, you wait and see. And then I'll let you know right here on IntentBlog.

Nevertheless, I've been finding I can't see God everywhere; like my intellect tells me to. I find him only at the moment He arrives: a maple leaf on the front porch, with veins, orange color and dryness, two birds, fifty yards apart, singing repetitively to one another, and I want to join in, my newborn grandson's, only 6 lb., attempt at a smile. It's those things, where I find it hard to see Him.

Dear Richard, I was just down on the porch with my morning coffee and other drugs, when I had an olfactory hallucination. It was of cow manure. We have no cows here except maybe 20 miles away near Vermont.
I was wondering, quite sincerely, if a self induced hallucination should carry the same value as one that presents from without oneself. The distinction being that one has no intent for the latter. Stuff happens, as it were. Even a silultaneous-born hallucination. Are they worth pondering?

I wish I could figure the great truth you tickle me on. You must be close quite irrespective of me? It's pretty near to the resolution of both laughing and crying at the same moment. Yes, I'm sincere, too.
I wouldn't want to sing repetitively to you over this distance, ie if you partook. I do know all God's creatures are equally sacred and everything an 'hallucination' if that's a concept worth embracing. It is perhaps the selective embracing that causes the shortfall and the gibberish that I seem to be posting!

It's ok. I just was reading and then sort of meditated, and I got my answer. It's just I can't say Evens Wentz has the end all and be all on this philosophy, this Study of Wisdom.
He says the waking state and the dream state are unreal. But that's only because he prefers the visualized state. However, that being a state of light and consciousness, well, it just seems to be more simple, perhaps pure in that respect.
Anyway I like Kabbalah philosophy as well. Vast vast is Divine Wisdom.

Over the weekend I ordered a trailer hitch and today, I ordered the trailer light converter kit to connect my old Lexus to the trailer. I found out that my car will pull a trailer that weights about 3500 lbs. So I've been learning a lot about camper trails and the law for driving them. Even if I don't get laid off, I've learned something new - how to live cheaper in order to pay off all my debts much quicker. These camper trailers are about 18 feet long and have everything in them. It's great! The $1600 price range is for the 20 to 30 year old campers. So I could live in one and give 30-day notice where I live when I get everything set-up (PO box, cell phone, trailer insurance & registration once I buy the camper) and for less than 2 months rent! I would save a ton of money left over. Then I could travel anywhere on the weekends, which would a like a vacation every week as the Bay Area has so many beautiful places to camp out at, such as Tahoe, Delta, Napa Wine Country, Santa Cruz Beach. Even tho I have not figured out how to get connected on the internet yet from a camper, they do have these new wireless laps that can pick up signals just about anywhere that there is a tower. I would truly be in heaven! I would recommend this for anyone who is willing to get rid of everything and travel light for a while. So I would be able to reach financial freedom much more quickly. Therefore, either way, this is a win-win situation! I can not wait. YES!!!!!

BTW: Since I have rented out rooms in my home for almost 20 years, I've learned a lot from the homeless folks that I rented to, i.e., people without a permanent address or home, who had experienced something traumatic or life changing. But I don't think any of them thought about a camper or they would not have rented from me. However, I did meet a homeless lady that I was attempting to help a few months back that did this, so I got the idea from her, even tho I had been trying to figure it all out, but could not make it work, as this was the missing piece, i.e., I was thinking about a tent only. Her issue was that she did not have a job and could not get one since she was disabled and her city/state benefits were cut off, as they thought she was able to work. So when her RV camper broke down, she had to leave it and live on the streets off and on. Right now, I just need a little break off for a week to a month, assuming I get laid off and then I will get back right in to the job market, but may move to another area? Not sure, but I could go anywhere and live anywhere. And I thought about temping and working when I need the money, as that's what one woman did and now she has more free time. I have her connect info, if I get laid off. Plus, I have a few recruiters trying to reach me, so I will be fine if I decide to stay in the Bay Area. The mini vacation would be to release all that negativity from work and take a nice break, so I could start fresh with a good attitude and begin again. I can now see how everything is playing out perfectly for me and for everyone else around me. So this is Synchronicity on the most basic level and everything that has happened to me was no accident. I just had to get this one final wake up call, before I could really move forward and take action. I don't know why I waited so long, except I got lazy, so all of this had to happen to push me forward :-) In short, I must be laid off to make my dreams happen!

Guess what? If I had done this earlier, I could have volunteered to support the Obama campaign. I recently got these emails from the his campaign headquarters offering folks the opportunity to attend training camps so that we could promote Obama's cause of CHANGE and get him nominated, even tho I don't think he will have any problems becoming America's next president! However, I do not have the freedom right now and time would be the only commitment in this cause if I'm laid off, so I'm currently tied down. If everything moves along quickly, I might be able to help in some way, but I don't think there will be enough time for me to contribute in any significant way once I do get settled down. Who knows, maybe there might be??? But I really wish I could do this ... oh well, another time maybe :-)

Thank you, Ed. Your words mean everything. A seal of authenticity, as it were. Now I am 99.999% sure. I only just this morning realized that I was doing something. I talk, I feel, I breathe heavy (never mind why), and I move; and I think I meditated as well, after a fashion, in this state Evens Wentz calls the visualized state in the footnotes of Tibetan Yoga and Secret Doctrines.

I also realized these things coincide with somethings Sri Yukteswar said at the end of his book. But the discernement is different than the literal.

Richard #61 A Shared Hallucination

Its possible we share a hallicination, as Deepak says, and others concerning a mingling of consciousness. (And much more but I can't talk about that.) I feel it is because we are all in this Dwapara Yuga together and our thoughts have a defined spectrum in which to speculate. To rise above that I think is what yoga does and when it has, it is found to be universal, in that any yuga we were in would find it so.

Any way I wanted to tell you why I like Kabbalah.
There are concepts like: Before union there is movement, which is why the pious shuckle when saying prayers. Also, there is what is referred to as a lovesick. This is like Solomon who moaned Let Him kiss me with the kisses of His mouth. There is also gadlut and katnut, a time when you feel His presence and a time not. There are many concepts like this and they are always personal; unlike learning about Consciousness, per se.

I was thinking I can't share a hallucination with you but I will relate this one: I mount Big Brown , the saddle representing Will (to Milarepa), and I don my helmet (Mahayanic Altruism - again Milarepa), and I have my little red dress on, and I pull the bow around and load it with an arrow from the shaft on my back(shaft of Intellect) and then I fire away into the dark woods. I usual hit leaves but one time it went all the way to a Nebraska corn field. Love, me

I don't know ... but that's a scary thought of God dreaming. It cannot be as God is awake and all knowing, so we are the ones that must be asleep and dreaming dreams within dreams.

Snychronicity is finding the meaning a moment after or a day later after the two events occur.

I've often wondered what gives words meaning; those abstract concepts of course, that don't relate to visible or touchable phenomena.

I gave up wondering when I read in a Kabbala text about the Holy Tongue and the Ten Utterances. They just flow out like a water shed, (same with Sanskrit I've heard)so I may never know what gives words meaning or why two events are seen as sychronistic.

I think it's amazingly coincidental that at the moment Obama is faltering with the middle voters, T. Boone Pickens proposes the Pickens Plan which is drawing in that same group like there's no tomorrow (or more correctly, like there is).

And to tell you the truth, Pickens makes McCain look like he's a little faggy around the edges.

The plan, which Al Gore described as a respectable first step to solving climate crisis, offers a simple but challenging solution to transition ourselves to the next step in energy processing and consumption, leveraging our own sense of national pride to stop what he terms as the "largest transfer of wealth in human history," and in the process, do something real about climate change.

The fact is that while Obama has been sponsored by Archer Daniels Midland, he can't win the election on that card alone, and T. Boone Pickens is going to force him to approach this energy/monetary crisis more seriously that he has heretofore and adopt a grown-up strategy instead of screwing around with Ethanol (and other) subsidies as the sole solution behind his otherwise-stated aims simply because its politicians are in somebody's hip pocket.

I say that since McCain is bought and paid for by the Iraq petroleum consortium, he can't win WITH Pickens...and Obama can't win without him.

I think it's time that Obama and his supporters grew up and grabbed onto something real.

P.S. The sad fact is that Obama stopped saying anything of real consequence three or four months ago when he had to turn his sights on the general election. He's just not telling the truth: we're broke, and we need to start at the beginning.

I heard an Appalachian country boy put it this way: somebody's got to do something about the gas thing. Either it's that woman or that black man, nobody really gives a shit who.

So, Mr. Obama, please climb out of the Tower of Power and forge an alliance and make some tough decisions, and subbordinate yourself to something greater than you.

It's my understanding that T. Boone has met with both the Obama and McCain camps. I know he said he was willing to work with both. What's amazing to me is that it took someone like him to even get both political parties to address the situation. Also, the republican plan is very close to the Pickens plan with of course, an emphasis on drill, drill, drill. I liked what he said from the beginning. Glad to know Al Gore is in the same camp.

All that aside, it will not be a random accident that Obama goes the way of Kerry unless he forges 'common ground' [yay Jessie! :)] with middle voters. You know, the ones Gov. T. Boone Pickens has said this before in front of that pathetic Republican hearing this summer about energy.

They wanted him to say it in the worst way and kept pressing him. Finally he said, I'm for lifting the ban on off shore drilling, we need all the resources we can get. Just don't be surprised there isn't much there. We already know most of the oil off shore is where we are drilling now, in the gulf.

That Lou Dobbs segment with Pickens was amazing, wasn't it?

It was fascinating to see Dobbs try to play alpha-dog with Pickens on the drilling thing (and several other things), and Pickens would have none of it, correcting Dobbs several times when Dobbs tried to grab the talking stick and abscond with it to his corner of the playground.

So I was wondering about God a while back and I reasoned that I would ask Him to teach me something, something I knew nothing about. And in that way I would know it came from Him, if indeed it came, and therefore I would have proved His existence.

So I asked Him to teach me a certain type of yoga, which I know nothing about and could not have written two sentences about at the time. So maybe I'm amazed.

But now I'm thinking that He was going to do that anyway, and that my thoughts (about asking Him)are just precursors, like the spit before the vomit so to speak.

They have been trying to do this for years. And, of course, Pickens is correct there's not that much oil there.

Re# 88 it is not the attitude of the GOP to which Obama should be appealing. It is the people who will be voting for him. And he should be talking about it in a *non contentious* way. It's something that affects us all.

My point is that "drill, drill, drill" is not just an "emphasis" it is more like THE plan; they have no plan to reduce green house gases and take climate change seriously, and think long term. (Although, McCain had 'some' record in supporting climate change initiatives 'relative' to his party members, but no way near to the positions of most democrats.)

Al Gore made good points in his speech when he addressed the Dem convention.

Right. But that "attitude" of the GOP appeals to a large portion of partisans. It's McCain that is contentious and still has people voting for him. Of cousre Obama and the dems can be easily framed as contetious whatever they do. It is unfortunate that people don't get to hear policies, Obama has been conveying his message in post-partisan way to whoever cares to listen, but only negative attacks and petty character attacks get the exposure. For ex. it is widely believed by republican voters and McCain supporters that Obama is going to "increase" taxes. No amount of conveying this in a "less contentious" way is going to get him more votes than McCain gets by these distortions and blatant lies. If American people are aware of Obama's and McCain's Energy plan and Economic plan, and say they are going to vote base don these two issues, Obama wins hands down. But unfortunately these elections are not won on issues alone, they are sufficiently influenced by distortions and lies and hijacked largely by wedge issues like "drilling", cultural issues like "guns, gays, god" etc.

It's just that to see something from God's point of view is to see how the qualities must qualify within our relhm of possibilities and of course the event is intended and meant to be. On the other hand we should not assume things are meant to be precisely because of the possibilities and unknowns and a constant persistance; and the fact that the possibilities present anew with each new thought. Uh huh.

It is only from our mundane mind, not the developed spiritual one, that randomness is assumed.

Charles Johnston in Patanjali Yoga Sutras says the mundane mind continuously fights for surpremacy as the spiritual mind develops. I always remember this, after a bout of suffering and then I say OH That was that. It could very well be Sa-tan, the enemy of my better half.:)

To further negate the concept of randomness: I read in Tzava'at Harivash (Kabbala) of "tzorech gevoha - that eveything in creation is to be for the Divine intent, ie, for the realization of the ultimate perfection of the spiritual reality underlying physical reality." So that means when you would rather stay home and meditate or study but you have to go on a family outing then don't be dismayed. It is "because everything is required for Above."
