In one of his previous posts Deepak raised the question regarding the relationship between synchronicity and accident. Following are some insights from the consciousness-integrated holistic scientific perspective.
Synchronicity is an accident upside down. While synchronicity is an accidental simultaneity of occurrence of two or more unrelated but meaningful or desirable events, an accident is a random synchronicity of two or more unrelated adverse or harmful events. Hence, synchronicity is nothing but a desirable or meaningful accident while an accident is an undesirable or meaningless synchronicity.
Synchronicity from Wikipedia:
“Synchronicity is the experience of two or more events which are causally unrelated occurring together temporally in a meaningful manner……Jung coined the word to describe what he called "temporally coincident occurrences of acausal events" or "meaningful coincidence." Jung believed that many experiences that are coincidences due to chance suggested the manifestation of parallel events in terms of meaning, reflecting this governing dynamic.”
In religious circles, the term synchronicity is often mischaracterized to represent connectivity or non-duality. However, in reality, synchronicity represents duality or multiplicity that accidentally happens to occur in coincident time. Both synchronicity and accident require two or more separate events happening randomly and coincidentally in time and space. The spiritual connectivity or oneness, on the other hand, represents non-duality and oneness wherein both time and space dissolve ending duality or multiplicity. Synchronicity can only occur in finite or non-zero time and space. Hence, synchronicity is not oneness or connectivity as misperceived by the time-afflicted ego. One cannot glorify synchronicity as spirituality since it is as much a rolling of dice as an accident. God or consciousness does not play dice.
Synchronicity is also sometimes confused with destiny or good luck because of its happening in time and its perceived meaningfulness or desirability. Similarly, an accident is often characterized as fate or bad luck because of its undesired and random outcome. Both of these characterizations are nothing but biased judgments founded in the prejudice, convictions, beliefs, and fixations of the ego or mind.
True oneness is realized in the choiceless awareness of the egoless consciousness wherein chosen prejudices of both synchronicity and accidents dissolve along with time and space. In other words, eternity and omnipresence of universal consciousness dissolve both synchronicity and accident. And that is genuine spirituality or enlightenment.

Dear Avtar,
There has been written so much about this subject and still it stays and remains ones own subjective experience.
And just in there lies ones own personal freedom.
I do totally agree with the article hereunder, so for me, after reading and discussing it here on IB it now has all come to a good end.

I wish you all the best in your further career.
I have found my passion and expression in making simple art in nature: natural labyrinths.
My latest one is a heart labyrinth and when one mirrors a heart labyrinth it develops into a butterfly.
So from one heart to the other:
all the best :)

I think deep down we are looking to consciously coincide with each other. Is that holographically?
Oneness differentiating into the many, (Deepak) leaves us floundering with the subjective diversity. In that floundering, the awakening mind will occasionally glimpse the clues as to what is already the 'hologram.' These clues are differentiations in themselves and get called synchronicities or accidents in this discussion.
My own perspective is that whatever happens is synchronistic. It's just the meaning that is not immediately apparent.
Well, of course, I don't need a meaning any more ;) I just enjoy!
We don't really collide do we Avtar, and we can't really hug, but I am happy to have found you.
Synchronistic.....synchronicitous to recoin it
More differentiation. I guess ;)
Sorry, but I don't get your distinction between synchronicity (being in time and space) and connectivity (beyond time and space). There is no time and space; but then I'm only on my first cup of coffee.
But wait, there is a thing about psychosis and stability.
As psychosis is to stability so is synchronicity to connectivity.
yours,

Hello Avtar and Everyone,
Avtar you write, "True oneness is realized in the choiceless awareness of the egoless consciousness wherein chosen prejudices of both synchronicity and accidents dissolve along with time and space. In other words, eternity and omnipresence of universal consciousness dissolve both synchronicity and accident. And that is genuine spirituality or enlightenment"
absolutely!!!!:)))ruth
Synchronicity is when the coffee is waiting for you in the morning, but when you see the coffee and grounds in a big mess all over your counter it’s called an accident. But, in reality the synchronicity was in the clogging, and the chain of events which lead up to it. If I was in synch. with the coffee maker, I would have cleaned it earlier when it was struggling to give me a timely cup of coffee. And, the accident was me expecting a the coffee maker to out perform its limitations, so if the problem lies with the egos need for harmony and my inability to see that harmony is a synchronized accident as well as a synchronized nonaccident.
I'm waiting for the knock on my door, mister.
Dear KAN, while I'd love to try your coffee, I think you are implying cause and effect. There is none in synchronicity. That's the mystery. We have to watch ourselves when we apply meaning to the events.
Avtar,
I experience synchronicity as wheels....wheels with teeth creating connection. What's moving at deepest soul level of spirit connects with emotional body, mental body and physical body and out into this visible world of effects. When the teeth of these wheels or gears are in synch there is a turning in harmony. Nature does this naturally through eco-systems.
Out of synch patterns and systems are doomed to fail and crumble. Why? We know why! They are not aligned with universal law of order. Let the old crumble and pass away. Let a new heaven and new earth be born in oneself all the way through to this visible realm.
This process of alignment takes inner work. It's not for those who point the finger at others in accusation. It's not for the mental mind alone. This process of alignment is an experiential engagement of all the parts.
Aligning inside out takes honesty and backbone. Yes, one must look at patterns of origin and understand why there is not harmony. Who is interested and willing to do this inner work? In looking one absorbs what is seen. One digests the truth of the matter and moves on to a new level of awareness and health.
It's time to plug in to Nature's synchronicity that rises up as world patterns pass away. Plugging in allows new creativity and intelligence to move where old thinking and behaving had been. This is a very exciting time in human evolution.
Trish~~

I totally agree with you. Let's weave a web of passion full people that live their passion to the fullest :), very exciting indeed!

Really, no cause and effect, because it’s a mystery to you, means you can’t discern the cause, but it doesn’t mean there isn’t any. It all depends on how you look at it, because every event has its cause, and there are no mysteries.
I've been out knocking on doors all afternoon and ne'er a synchronicity, though someone did offer me a glass of sherry. How did they know I'm so partial.
It's a mystery that Nature follows a lawful path
It's a mystery that the mind gives rise to unintended thought and spontaneous vision
It's a mystery that the mind assigns cause and effect to all phenomena
It's a mystery that the earth was once flat
It's a mystery that the trees don't forget to turn orange in the winter :)
These are all mysteries to you, not to me.
Okay KAN, explain to me why you drink coffee and don't chew beans. It's such a drain on energy supplies, all this fluidiocy
I’ll give you one mystery, and the only one that has the magnitude to matter: How did empty space become aware of its “self”, what I mean is, who created God? Awareness must have been latent in space, and if it was, who created it, why did it become Aware, and why was it latent? Something from nothing needs something to start it, doesn’t it? I guess you can say, it wasn’t latent, and space was already Aware of its Self, and you can’t have space without it being Aware of being space, but I find internal resistance there. My teacher told me it was latent, and it just flowered, no reason, it just happened, and that feels right with me, so I'll stick with it. Nonetheless this answer will always be an intuitive guess, never understood completely, however the start of the universe and life can be understood, and so can God be understood.
Ah ha. So if we develop words around something then mystery solved.
I should pay more attention to Fox News, I guess.
Dear KAN,
I concede one can reason out the existence of God.
I was reading in Kabbalah that God "constricted" to form empty space. And then there was something about "engraving", the taking away, like sculpting, to create.
Yours,
Dear KAN,
Please forgive my outburst in post #20. I don't like writing with an attitude. It's hard enough to figure how my usual text is perceived. Mister Ed makes that easier, though. He doesn't take me so seriously.
To Kan's questions: I think God is life....and life gives of itself....it's what it does...no reason or cause it just is what it is by doing what it does and doing what it does...it is.
Ah yes Vivian!
....
And the day came when the risk it took to remain tightly in the bud was far more painful than the risk it takes to blossom.

#24 Oooo , er....Bonnie, that made me to continue to tingle, heart chakra a-buzz ....... lightning bolt, that, A.N.
#22 Mister ed thinks humour dances the dualities. Truth is a dance. Let's do the Kan-Kan.
The Coffee Maker
The coffee maker is the universe, the water is the Soul, and the grounds are your DNA or your genetic link to the world. When it is all mixed together coffee (You) is born. The water is the same in all mixtures but the grounds have different attributes from a wide range of regions and seeds, which gives coffee its many flavors. These flavors are all different and have their own characteristics, and we’ve been lead to believe that we are the flavor instead of the water. Spirituality is the art of ignoring the coffee maker and the grounds, to concentrate on the still living water within all of us. And, even though the coffee maker may breakdown and the grounds and coffee might end up all over the place, however the water moves on beyond both.
From the Gita:
attachment to Desire
causes the woman to grow unwomaned
(fiesty lttle wench)
that offers an apple to the crown
a mingling up of casts
with new companions
her Heart's Desire
and all undone
I should be talkin' synchronicity. Instead I'm talkin' voodoo.
Maybe it's the same?
So is the perfect one!
To his soul's ocean
The world of sense
Pours streams of witchery,
They leave him as they find
Without commotion,
Taking their tribute,
But remaining sea.

I tire of this occupation with linear thought. So when synchronicity is determined, or intuition, for that matter, then I think of it as a window opening a crack to view transcendent thought, at the level our rational state can cognize it.
The admonition to set God before me at all times and that God IS no stranger to thee (kabbalah) is really like an admonition to climb to the top of the perch of a sailing ship and keep a look out. :)
Your right, it isn’t external, you won’t find it unless you look within, at the core of your being.

I agree Avatar. Prior to starting a conscious journey to the truth....things happened by accident, but then I noticed things happening in synchronicity. Not until I realized that I was the creator of both, did the gap close and I myself became that which connects both: consciousness and unconsciousness.
