You go girl! Good luck. I hope you will be elected in the coming elections so that you can make things work from where they will have to start.

Here in our country (only a very small one) we took our lessons to heart from the past too. Our government is alert and is kept alert as much as possible because of the possibility of every citizen in our country to keep talking alongside with our government online.

Just as is done in the U.S. now by the way :)

Perhaps you could set up a (governmental) website to at least give every one that is able to, to comment online on the actions to be taken.

Please let us know how the demonstration went and also how the govt is responding to this excellent 10 point plan. I hope it's adopted immediately!!!

Good, beyond the spiritual brainstorming, some citizen initiatives like this are welcome. I would have participated, had I not living thousand kms away from Mumbai.

4,000 people have died due to terrorists killings since Congress Party took over in 2004, don't you think it's time that maybe perhaps possibly something should be done to provide safety for it's people? These murderous animals had 5,000 deaths in mind this time and who knows how many more year in the making planned attacks are in the works?

The Indian Govt and Govt of Mumbai, should have been on the watch and prevented the attack particularly when the attackers were making preparations over a period of time.

No government can provide safety to people who are afraid. Safety is found inside one's heart, not behind arms. And enemies never go away unless you make them your friends.

This is a very sad direction you are taking. Creating more fortresses not only doesn't increase security, but it brings even more trouble in our world. Demonstrate peacefully for more arms and troups? Why not use all your energy to demonstrate for communication, cooperation and dialogue between different religions and nations? Why not actively create peace? There are thousands of ways. Do you really believe that any amount of troups and arms will make you safe? Learn to know your enemy with the sincere intention to make him your friend, then you will create peace and safety.

With all my heart, I wish you clarity.

So there should come a government presented by people who are not afraid. Not afraid to say no to terrorism in a peaceful way.

If the people of India are peaceful, they can surely manage that!

Anticipation of attacks. Good intelligence services working together.

Why didn't the list contain the poor people? I think that in itself is the problem don't you? They don't seem to be very well represented with little concern shown for them.

Maybe that is why the Glitz locations got attacked they represent an abomination to the spirit.

The listed groups are responsible for the passive violence, and are also the one's that posses the disproportionate percentage of wealth and now fear losing it.

Think about it 10,000 indians vs. 1 Billion. Who do you think is going to prevail?

So it is wanted by the people that the government, which is supposed to be the people's collective effort, to protect the people from their own creation?

A bunch of egos created this demon, and now those egos are going to have to face it, only spirit can bring the demons destruction.

The wealthy of the world had their chance to act and prevent all what is to come.

It was written that "the wealthy man would be made equal to the homeless man"

We need to work toward change in our society incrementally with available means.

The event organized by these two news media ladies has representation of the people which can provide good news coverage to their newspaper where they work, which will not be the case with small time shopkeepers, govt employees, etc.

So be it, a small movement is always welcome instead trying to organize a mammoth rally which will not take off.

That last prophecy can be fulfilled in row ways.

1. The wealthy become destitute in a collapsed system.

2. The poor become wealthy in a new balanced system.

Option 2 would be better because if the poor get rich the rich get richer for it.

Terrorism is a symptom. To treat the symptom as is described above will not get rid of the disease. While I agree the cause is complex, the remedy is actually simple.

If you have included the common man in this it will have more value
since they are the vote banks of all political parties.

The demand should include immedeate withdrawal of Z category protection
to politicians and their family. Until they have this privilege they
will not care about common man on the street.

'WE HAVE TO MAKE IT GO AWAY (TERRORISM) BY KILLING IT' Very correct, and no issues here, if people from different walks of life, come on a single platform (do include the common man, as suggested by a few very corectly) and submit a Draft to the Govt:

However, experience shows, that after few days, if there is no monitoring and follow up, it will be put in cold storage. So I suggest that a proactive citizen forum should monitor the implementtion of the draft proposals in active consultation with the Government agencies. This forum, should be privately funded.

Yestereday CNN-IBN aired a 2002 documentary entitled 'water rats' on how a team of journlists, managed to sneak cargo undetected from Okha in Gujrat, all the way to Gate Way of India in Mumbai.

The apathy and callousness of the Cusoms and other agencies was exposed. The media should play more active role and exposing the lapses, so at least, at the grass root level, the officials are kept on tenter hooks, all the times.

Consistant media scoops on all different fronts of the Govt: Agencies, will help in controlling the menanace of apathy and utter callousness, of those employed by the Government Agencies.
