Most people tend to live as if there was some sort of continuity to life. I know I used to conceptualize my past as a sequential series of events, with the future unfolding in much the same way. This conceptualization of continuation seems very real and convincing. Then I began to experiment with the idea of letting go. Letting go of beliefs, letting go of ideas, letting go of desires. I began to realize that in every moment there was birth and death, birth and death, birth and death.
In every moment we are dying, and in every moment we are being born.
There is a freedom that comes from this. When we are struggling, clinging, grasping, we can ask ourselves: what do we need to let die? Something always has to die in order for us to be reborn.
On the other hand, there can also be a fear that accompanies this process. Who am I if I keep letting go? Who will I be? How will anything get done? Who am I without my preferences? Who am I without my story?
Try experimenting with this gently. In any moment, watch how something is dying. Then watch how something else is born. See if you can let go of what is dying, and let go of what is being born.
As I began observing this death and rebirth cycle, as I began to conceptualize my life on these terms, it became much easier to let go of everything in my life.
In each moment, we can be re-born.
What are you doing because it is a habit? What if you could just let it go? In each moment, we have this choice. The more we can let go of who we were, even just one second ago, we open up to the possibility of a re-birth.
And with each new life, anything is possible.
Ask yourself - "Have you died today?"
Please try it and let me know what you discover!
Peace, Love, Beauty,
Sarah Maria

"In every moment we are dying, and in every moment we are being born." ~Sarah Maria
Yes, this is so true and this sprouts from the fact that we are breathing in and breathing out.
In and out is a duality and just by becoming aware of the duality one can become aware of this fact: life - death - life etc. :)
This is given to us humans as the only species on earth. So we can become aware of this into it's fullest meaning.
Every time I am able to create, I become one with my creation, meaning I die to it to become aware again of my next creation and I go on creating till my last breath.
I can create everything, in the most simple but also in the most complicated way, yet all I have to do for it is breathing in and breathing out.
And the force of love that creates this, always guides me with a most benign protection.
And, according to my experience always gives me what I need in the moment.
At this moment in my life I am making labyrinths from the heart. I created a very simple 3 path heart labyrinth that I can lay down in nature with nature’s own natural gifts, in this way giving back what I receive.
You give what you take
You take what you give

This reminds me of the importance of believing that nothing is more important than the present moment or the question:
"When is NOW going to be a good time to be happy?"
"When is NOW going to be a good time to be happy?"
Wow, thank you very much for this. This is a very good mantra.
Hi Matthew,
"When is NOW going to be a good time to be happy"
When you do it in your Natural Own Way :)
Love, Mieke
Happy always comes with sad.
'Now' sits unmoved in the middle.
Have you ever been HAD?

Notwithstanding what I wrote above about true knowledge (I really have not achieved any true knowledge and do not know anyone who claims and lives with the true knowledge achieved) , I have further to say on Sarah's post.

Nobody.

Dead or alive perhaps spin off from 'no body'in a play with some body.
Life eternally plays with us. Is that an invitation to play with it? Is playing a realisation on top? It is I who is spinning my story and, so far, I don't really believe it.
You should die in every moment so that nothing hurts you or nothing make you pleasure or in short nothing influences you. If we move towards such a state it is called as Godliness. JK won;t comment about God. He talks about godliness. Tis is a state of high order where nothing will disturb you.

Let go of the accumulated mindset, but when the true knowledge is gained by experiences of life, then live with it.
do not believe , do not disbelieve is fine; but till the time you have got the true knowledge.
true knowledge should not die should not be born everyday, it must remain as it is.
