Deepak Chopra - December 29, 2008
In the spirit of President-elect Obama's call for unity, the present divide between opponents and supporters of the war in Iraq needs to be healed. On one side, as represented by President Bush in his exit interviews, the war is seen, post-surge, as a key success in the war on terror. On the other side, as voiced by peace advocates, the war has been a dismal, shameful failure that did nothing to lessen the threat of terror around the world.

I hear you brother Norm!
Americans have voted for a war criminal government; “we” wage illegal, criminal, wars of pre-emptive aggression against people, and nations, that posed no danger to us whatsoever, and now, either directly or indirectly, we have caused the death of hundreds of thousands of people, rolling through the middle east much like Hitler rolled through Europe, but there is not another force in the world, yet, strong enough to bring us to justice.
So you war criminal Americans have not the moral standing to judge any others, let alone Israel. It would be like Satan telling his demons, “now, now, you better be good little demons . . .”.
The Palestinians voted for Hamas, Hamas shoots some spitwads at Israel, and Israel murders hundreds of Palestinians (I especially like the pictures of the childrens’ dismembered bodies, reminds me of Afghanistan, o well, there are no innocents in war: cool!). So, to bring this situation to a speedy final solution, just drop the biggest nuclear bomb that exists right on Gaza.
Nuke the entire Middle East for that matter, o, wait, we need their oil!
Nevertheless, America has exceptional standing in the use of nuclear weapons (remember those genocidal bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki), but considering our special relationship with Israel, we could let them take their turn nuking people! It is not like we would stop them!
Well, I suppose we can’t do that b/c a couple of Israelis may also perish, well then, just kill them all, every last one of them, bomb them to heaven, get Old Testament on them, kill every Palestinian man, women, and child! The United States government (another Israeli occupied territory) will re-supply the Israelites with endless amounts of more weapons and money . . .
Then we can be economically exploited in peace!
Happy New Year!
Well what would be a cure according to mind-body medicine, mind-body seen as ´one´?
After all......, with cancer we still do know so little about causes, the beginning of it.....
And also the behaviour, whether it will return...
It is soo difficult to predict!
Moreover, every ´one´ experiences cancer in their own very special way, so a cure for cancer is and remains every one´s own experience and can therefore only be subject to one´s own perception.
A person can perceive cancer in three ways:
either as curable
either as uncurable
either as something that is
A person, being ´one´, is only able to cure oneself and can never cure another, so a general solution is not at hand.
So if terrorism is a cancer, then ´one´ has to find his/her own solution.
This ´one´ has found her solution :)
when we see we are One...we also see everything is also included in This Oneness..
even what is considered not desirable to the judging relative mind...
thank you, Deepak, for pointing to the advantage of bringing all into awareness...love, carolyn

Americans have
"If Terrorism Is a Cancer, Treat It Like One"
"If Terrorism Is a Cancer, Treat It Like One"
I couldn't agree more, Deepak, I like the medical analogy!
Sometimes the search for and treatment of cancer involves barium enemas and radiation. How apt for the terrorists!
First you shove a missle up their ass, then you radiate the hell out of'em...poof...they're gone!
I know, I know...you never thought we'd agree on anything, but at last, at the end of 2008...we do!!
Happy New Year!!
