Dear Friends, we were inspired by this magnificient art produced by our friend Arlene Taveroff from Wisdom a la Carte... How does it resonate with you? What quotes of wisdom come to you?

Dear DK,
there is nothing like the sereneness of a bright sunshine day,
blue sky,
cool air,
and snowladen tree.
hey - just ask Keith

O patient tree
you speak to me
in voiceless muffled early light
a tracery of what I might
The tree..
It stands there rooted in the earth.
Perfectly still, but giving birth
to all that is and will become.
Its memories are vast and they still blossom
In the varieties of species around.
Through the seasons they blossom unbound
And always return to their roots in the ground.
I may be down
but I am not out (uprooted)
(perhaps like the US economy lol)
and I know to boot
that the seasons change
baharein phir bhi aaegi
Hello DK,
Nice picture. I can walk out my door into a landscape just like in the picture, and, it is freezing....cold, crunch, crunch, crunch with each footstep I take. I'm calm, I'm cold, the wind chill, harsh, the sun, a welcome relief.
Nice photo thank you Arlene and DK's magic finger tips - the capillaries of the tree remind me of all of us at this time in our bloom * freshly cut in the memory of all that may be *
Hi there Adam,
the pictures on your blog are awesome!

CAN YOU IMAGINE?
For example, what the trees do
not only in lightning storms
or the watery dark of a summer's night
or under the white nets of winter
but now, and now, and now - whenever
we're not looking. Surely you can't imagine
they don't dance, from the root up, wishing
to travel a little, not cramped so much as wanting
a better view, or more sun, or just as avidly
more shade - surely you can't imagine they just
stand there loving every
minute of it, the birds or the emptiness, the dark rings
of the years slowly and without a sound
thickening, and nothing different unless the wind,
and then only in its own mood, comes
to visit, surely you can't imagine
patience, and happiness, like that.
