Israel-Gaza Conflict: What are the Unknown Unknowns?

DK Matai - January 11, 2009

Dear Friends, it would be useful to have your considered input in regard to the following: What are the possibilities of geo-political and other black swans coming out of the Israel-Gaza confrontation, which may amplify the synchronised global downturn?

People will finally begin to realize that Israeli power elite conservatives at election time need Palestine as an enemy, in order to stay elected in Israel
.
.
.
and that Hamas and its sponsors, the rich shieks of the oil countries, need each other too, in order for the shieks etc. to hide the REAL truth from the downtrodden and abused Arab peoples-------the Israel-Palestine Cold/Hot War is simply a distraction, a bloody distraction, no one involved in the war and entrenched in power at the highest levels in Oil Land really gives a s*** about idelogy, religion, the legality or illegality of the Jewish state, other trumped-up beefs, or the common human being in Gaza or any of the other Arab host countries--- all these power elites there really care about is money and their own precious entrenched power situation, and they are using the war and the conflict to keep people's minds distracted from people's oppression at the hands of the rich and of the rich people's lackeys, the "terrorist" groups.
.
.
.
.
Soon Americans will realize how Americans' gas-guzzling ways have been supporting the wealth of the sheiks and thus the continuation of cynical, empty wars for the benefit of the few, the moneyed, the privileged. Somehow through this realization the Americans will end up making the shieks mad, Americans will thus somehow end up paying more at the pump, whereby the world's idealism and conscience will be saved, and the U.S. economy will go farther into the tank. Cars will get smaller, and Detroit will join the tanking trend. The rest of the world will as a result also escalate its own tanking trend, in a synergistic display of such gloom, doom, and utter unpredictability that everyone will end up clucking, wringing his hand (s), and shaking his head.
.
.
Did I get that right?

From reading other posts and comments in this site regarding the attack, first unknown unknown is Hamas violated the truce while the truth is just the opposite. Isreal attacked Gaza on 4th Nov and then 7th Nov.

The next seemingly unknown unknown is the infamous question: Why do they hate us?

Robert Fisk suggests that "we" should not pretend 'we' do not know the answer:

"Yes, Israelis deserve security. Twenty Israelis dead in 10 years around Gaza is a grim figure indeed. But 600 Palestinians dead in just over a week, thousands over the years since 1948 – when the Israeli massacre at Deir Yassin helped to kick-start the flight of Palestinians from that part of Palestine that was to become Israel – is on a quite different scale. This recalls not a normal Middle East bloodletting but an atrocity on the level of the Balkan wars of the 1990s. And of course, when an Arab bestirs himself with unrestrained fury and takes out his incendiary, blind anger on the West, we will say it has nothing to do with us. Why do they hate us, we will ask? But let us not say we do not know the answer"

Dear DK,

You ask: "What are the Unknown Unknowns?"

This is a question that can in my humble opinion never been answered.

Only thing one person can be sure of is that if he/she is open to the answers he/she receives from inside that he/she will always receive the right answer at the right time.

That is something they also call: spontaneity :)

And black or white swans, i can see the beauty in both of them, just like for instance a black and a white duck I was able to take a picture of not so long ago:

Dear DK, I have some theories that I am still investigating and some others that look to be true. I don't think I am going to tell everyone the details, just some, those that are in my database BookofLife.mdb (just following the storyline). But I will share some insights. I think many people realize that while some were researching how to profit from disease I was researching how to eliminate it. I stumbled upon a few things individual researchers with their focus in their special areas of expertise, in which they excel in an extraordinary way far beyond my capabilities, could not see it requires the study of a wide range research, a holistic perspective, and picking up on the small little clues to the big picture here and there. More on this later.

I was reflecting today, after some personal experiences, on the state of humanity and it's constituency. How some people pretend to be good but when they are under duress they change and you see that what they claimed to be was a farce it’s easy to be good when things are going good. Then there are the others that no matter how bad it gets they still act from compassion. I would like to live in world of the latter. I have also seen how those that live with integrity quite often seem to get the short end of the stick. It is a flawed system that rewards those that are not authentic and persecutes those that bear the truth. Of course I am still reflecting on this and how I could choose to perceive.

As it relates to the Jewish, Hamas and Palestinian conflict, it is not possible to pick a good guy or a bad guy in this situation, since all the polarities of humanity exist under each of those labels and there are plenty of transgressions existing under each of those labels.

I think it is important for everyone to understand the truth. An economic blockade is a form of passive violence. It results in death and suffering just like any other type of violence. Rocket launching is an aggressive violence yet not intending to inflict damage in this case as much as it is to create fear. One might even wonder if there was some third party or even a fourth actually instigating the conflict between the two playing the puppet strings of the ego.

I think most of us understand that when an entity is acting from fear it is irrational and impulsive. Why would the Hamas or anyone else if they wanted Peace seek to cause irrational and impulsive behavior? Would they not rather that their opposition act from a place of wisdom for surely this would bring Peace?

The smaller powers do not have the means to bring about their objectives but if they can pull the bigger powers into the conflict they might be able to achieve their objectives. The bigger powers if they had certain objectives may encourage the smaller powers to create a situation that provides an excuse for them to enter the playing field. Or if not they could unwittingly be dragged into the game by the smaller powers.

Like I mentioned before the source of most of the conflict on the planet is related to economics. I have witnessed members of all these groups living together in Peace when they are provided with the essentials for life.

Producing economic strife is a form of passive violence resulting in death and suffering it is no less a crime then killing with a gun and perhaps greater as a result of the suffering and agony. In a properly managed natural economic system which is fair and equitable there is no such thing as recession or depression. A recession is contrived and created and actually benefits those that hold the majority of wealth allowing them to gain possession of tangible assets with little or no value creation in return. For sure some of the wealthy in the game that are not members of the club may also lose along with the minor players.

Those that as a result of greed created the current economic situation, and there are many contributors, and those that are in a position to rectify the situation but fail to do so because of greed are in this moment of mankind committing the greatest act of violence ever committed in the history of mankind, greater than all the wars combined because of the shear number of people affected and the amount of suffering created. It is not the servants that are responsible but it is they that suffer the most.

There are consequences to being a party to this economic atrocity and the causes of it that are claimed are bogus, it is the result of a design which was intended and perhaps by many the flaws not really understood and therefore a mistake. We all make mistakes and wise are quick to admit them and correct them and make amends and all is soon forgotten. Yet the foolish deny, and their mistakes will never be forgotten.

I guess the point is that all those pointing fingers at those committing physical violence are simply doing so to draw attention away from the passive violence they are committing which produces much greater damage. The cause of the physical violence is economic in nature and who has created the economic disparity?

As for the Possible Black Swans.

Israel has Nuclear reactor(s) and possibly, although not admitted to, nuclear weapons in the war zone, all within reach of their enemy. They are actually a strategic disadvantage and vulnerability.

Plagues of disease are a major factor in the development of human civilization, impacting and altering the course of wars for example. I have been studying the events and conditions surrounding them and such conditions now exist. I also took interest in those that were not affected or overcame it. We are not even talking about biological weapons.

The one factor I found associated with all of them is Fear and Stress both of which turn off the immune system as a result of the production of cortisol. This first increases the number of active pathogens in each host increasing the odds that one of the pathogens will “evolve”. Second the rapid spread through the population occurs because so many have a weakened immune response. A individual with a healthy or active immune system actually acts as a barrier to propagation.

The interesting thing is those that were unaffected were the ones acting out of compassion and therefore did not have fear. Beautiful isn’t it, those that are a threat to the continuance of life perish and those that cherish it live, which makes perfect sense from an evolutionary perspective.

As you might expect using the Bio Logic Systems approach I have figured out the compounds that will reverse this effect and even boost the performance of the immune system. Unfortunately for some because of the greed of the medical industrial complex and it’s profit perversion some of these compounds are not available in most of Europe and other countries but they are in the United States. Yes, British parliament in fact passed laws that will lead to it’s own extinction. I will be selling these as a kit, a basic and more expensive advanced kit, including one very special compound in the United States for those that would like to ensure survival in the event that the majority don't evolve fast enough.

We do not have the manufacturing capability to provide for everyone due to the current lack of demand by everyone which is a result of the industry not pursuing this approach to health.

Had they and the media created the awareness as I asked in 2005 we would now have the manufacturing capability. So now many of you or your loved ones may die killed by your superiority, there is some divine comedy in that you know.

I explained a long while back that the coming economic and environmental strife would trigger plagues and pandemic.

All that is happening now in the world could have been avoided if not for the arrogance of some.

Awareness, rapid decentralization, Amaranth, Rock Dust and Sea Weed, as well as one's new passive, rapid build, composite X-Proof construction housing technology and the ultimate light energy storage device, may be your only hope.

And that’s the story line…

Though, Richard, there are truths in what you are saying, there are other truths which are altogether ignored.

The truce was based on the promises that economic blockade will be lifted, if there is no rocket attck or suicidal bombing.

""If the fighting indeed ceases Thursday as planned, Israel will ease its blockade of Gaza next week," Regev said. At the same time, talks to release Shalit will intensify, Regev said."

http://www.haaretz.com/hasen/spages/993702.html

But no, it was not lifted. That is, Israeli promises were nothing but words from day one. Yet Hamas did not violate the terms. It did not start rocket or suicidal attack.

Instead of starting to attack Isreal for not implementing any of its promises from day one, (and despite of "the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip had worsened, partly due to shortages of certain foodstuffs that were not coming through tunnels from Egypt in the necessary quantities. In addition, there were occasional power outages and Gaza's banks were in trouble" ) Hamas asked for better terms for the truce, which by the way is not exactly better terms, but only the actual implementation of the original terms.

"Diskin listed Hamas's conditions as cancelling the blockade of the Gaza Strip, obtaining a commitment that Israel won't attack, and expanding the cease-fire to the West Bank."

One contributor in this site dismissed Hamas as if nothing that can make peace can be expected from them.

Now, should we cry or laugh?

One of the escapee children could become a Hamasian Hitler and eventually throw the world into a nuclear holocaust.

From "escapee children" I meant those children who will escape death at the hands of Israelis. Naturally having seen death so close they will go beyond the fear of death and having faced injustice and humiliation at least to their innocent understanding they will be seething with anger to take revenge a la original Hitler, who similarly saw great injustice being met to Germany in forcing humiliating conditions on them after the first world war.

Naj is simply ignoring a very simple fact.............Hundreds of Rockets have been fired into Israel by Hamas since many many years......These are unguided rockets and can land anywhere.........in a farm harming no one....or on a bus full of school children killing all...........This kind of attack on a human habitations is defined as an act of terrosim clearly by the civilized world .........There is nothing like a proportionate or disproportionate response to terrorism.........Israel cannot wait till the rockets start falling on school buses and hospitals every day.

What is wrong is wrong.........actually i feel more international preassure must be put on Iran and Egypt to stop the support and funding of these terrorists.

Amit

I think it is true if any one of us was standing in the shoes of a parent in Israel and your children cried from fear every night you might have a different perspective and response then you would hope. If you were a parent in Gaza and your child cried from hunger, trapped in a dismal life created by others with no option you might fire rockets as well given no other recourse.

It is not for the world to judge but to understand and heal and correct what is needed to bring balance.

If we want Peace in the Middle East then let us eliminate the fear from the minds of the children in Israel and let us feed the Palestinian children and give them a home and a life worth living and the parents of both will not be moved to conflict. For who cannot respond to a child in grief?

See the children of both sides as your children and act accordingly and someday when your children grow up to meet these children they will not be armed with guns but rather will meet and embrace. Do it for your children.

The world should move in the defense of the children on both sides for this will bring the world to be the allies of the parents on both sides and a bridge will form and there will be a unity.

We can argue the transgressions of both sides till we are blue yet the children have committed no such transgressions and are innocent so why is it we bring injustice to them? Is that not the source of all the transgression? The child who has known and felt injustice grows into the adult full of retribution.

I know it’s easy to suggest and difficult to make a reality but it is the only viable perspective one can offer.

Perhaps I am just a fool for taking the time to write this.

Yes Naj, many truths are ignored, especially those that do not support the fictions we hold as truth.

Amit, is it not you who refuses to see the truth? The fact that the current round of violence was not initiated by Israel. Hamas did not start suicidal bombing or rocket attack, despite Isreal not implementing any of the terms of the truce. Pls read the comment#1 again.

Richard, instead of doing what you suggested in #9, the policeman sends tons of weapons and asks why do they hate us. No wonder then, when you feel to call yourself a fool.
