
Dave is a founding director of the Discrimination and National Security Initiative, an affiliate of the Pluralism Project at Harvard University. He is also a civil rights attorney practicing in the Washington, DC area, a non-residential fellow at the Center for Internet and Society of Stanford Law School, and a former law clerk to a federal district court judge. His main areas of interest include Sikh affairs, constitutional law, and civil rights. Dave's writings and quotes have appeared in numerous publications and he continues to contribute to legal journals.
Dave obtained his bachelor's degree in philosophy, with honors, from the University of Pennsylvania, where he serves on the Alumni Secondary School Committee. He has a Master's in government from Johns Hopkins University, where he was the political theory editor of the Johns Hopkins Journal of American Politics. He graduated from The George Washington University Law School, where he was an op-ed contributor for Nota Bene.
