Considering Luxury.

I am in the process of informally, creatively investigating notions of entitlement. As part of this I am curating a few trails for such as yourselves to step into – with a hope that some of you will share your experiences or reactions with us.

Me first.

Me first.
Deepak has asked us to talk about our ‘intentions for 2007’. I’ll briefly explain a small decision I have taken for myself.
It’s been in my mind lately to increase my stake in being self-determining.

Cool magic trick.

Would you be so kind as to think of a card for me? I will return to this shortly.

Once, when I was a toddler (I hope I still am one!), my father gently drew the day to a conclusion by observing that my toys probably needed to retire for the night, following which he vanished them one at a time into the ceiling light. They reappeared at the foot of my bed the following morning.

Entelechy Arts: London’s cultural peacemongers

This remarkable arts company and charity sprang out of everyday encounters almost 20 years ago between people who would not ordinarily come into contact with each other.

Forward with Organisational Art!

The merging and swapping of roles are opportunities in waiting, inherent in any context where apparently unlike elements, processes and parties may be even temporarily cohabiting. Organisational Art (OA) can play a powerful role in actualising all this through its traffic of ideas and ownerships. aladin

Give Culture a Chance

I sometimes work on 'cultural policy', so I have adapted below a couple of polemics I wrote for my fellow specialists. These ruminations resonate for me still, although written 4 years ago under a pall whose consequences we are all too familiar with these days. I hope they make sense to you, the non policymaking, real audience. My next piece will be easier to read, I promise!
