Is infidelity a sin? Forgiveness a Virtue?

From my experience of the world, through my own eyes and those I have observed closely, I have reached the conclusion that an unfaithful or promiscuous man (most of the time) does not believe he is doing any wrong. His desire to spread his seed and devour beauty is something he sees as a primordial fundamental right. The prize for being born male.

Aamir...is full of shit!

Everybody has a right to tell a story, make a movie etc. I agree. Good bad ugly pretty long short whatever. I agree. Even if the good guy has to die as there is no place for him in this bad bad world.(even though i dont agree) Even if the story is somebody elses. Even if they want to drag a half hour plot into a two hour film. Even if the directors eye sees nothing but filth and squalor, shit and vomit which he tries to pass off as art. Even if they want to pump it with clichés and the script is full of gaping holes. Even if they are making a copy and not revealing the source.
Cavite anyone?

Pro State or Anti National?

I have never understood politics –not even at the classroom or dressing room level. At the State and Central level it interests me even less, and that is only because it has never directly affected my life. But it is now. I’m not even sure I can find the words for what my mind and my heart is trying to express but I am going to give it a try.

Sex education in schools…

So the State Government’s plans to introduce sex education in schools have been thwarted by the opposition. “Our children (read girls) are innocent. Let them stay that way” have been some angry protests by parents.
Fair enough…everybody is entitled to a viewpoint. These parents are probably willing to trade innocence for the scope of misinformation, ignorance, and exploitation. Like in many things plaguing our culture ,and the hypocrisy that surrounds its sexual norms and mores, (especially when it comes to the girl child) things are brushed under the carpet with eyes squeezed shut. But me thinks the burden of innocence, purity, and righteousness on the female is too heavy a cross for her young fragile shoulders to bear

Eating cockroach on detox

I still cant believe how this happened. Still wretching from the putrid taste of it. See, I’ve been on a rigid detox diet the last few weeks, living on fruit and vegetable juices, feeling cleansed and almost holy.Have had not even a glass of wine for more than a month now. Almost started seeing a halo round my own head. Been boasting to my friends and family about how spiritual and saintly this detox diet is making me feel. And then a cockroach pops into my mouth! A c…c…c….cockroach!!!

International Women’s day… whatever that means…

I spent the last many days doing a tile mosaic in my balcony, and after all the effort I didn’t like the way it looked and was wondering if I should break it down and do it again, almost tearing my hair out in frustration. My hands were cracked and bleeding from the cement and tile cutting –I thought I’ll take some time off and make the decision after attending a party a friend of mine was throwing on the eve of international women’s day. I was quite excited & looked forward to it, dressing up and all. especially after being coated in dust and grime for so many days.
